I returned my order in 100% new, unworn condition 53 days ago. It is understandable that the Halloween season delays refunds. However, I still have not received my refund, and 53 days seems excessive.
The moral of my lesson is this: Always have tracking on your returns. Given that I did not use tracking, the customer service reps are able to claim that they never received the package. This could mean anything. Maybe USPS lost it. Maybe there is someone in the receiving department setting aside packages without tracking to pawn them off. Or worse, perhaps the company themselves refuses to process refunds for any item without tracking. I have had two conversations with service reps in the last month, who stated they would address the problem to the best of their ability, even assuring me that the refunds department would get an email. Patiently, I waited. It is now three weeks since my last contact, and I have still received no email contact, no phone contact, and no refund.
