5 out of 5 eggsGreat case.

Pros: This case looks great. The stripes that everyone are complaining about are not gold. I actually agree with the manufacturer that they are Champagne. For the people complaining about the color, why did you buy something that you didn't like?

I really like the layout also. The two 180 mm fans work well and its nice that they each have a hi and lo switch. I don't really know if each one needs its own switch though, I always have them both set to the same speed.

I also like that the I/O is on top of the case instead of the back. Even though I have to take off the top part, its still way easier than crawling on the floor and pulling the computer away from the wall.

It only has 2 USB ports in the front, but since the I/O is on top you can still easily plug things in there if the cord is long enough.

Lastly, I have not broken anything on it yet. I don't know what happened with the reviewers that said the top part broke, but I have yet to damage anything.

Cons: For some reason this case took me a really long time to install everything. I don't know why, maybe because of the non-standard design.

You will need some longer SATA cables because of the motherboard position.

The cable to plug in the PSU is short unless you reach up underneath it and undo a twist tie. This was not mentioned in the manual, but I already knew about it from reading other reviews.

Overall Review: I got this case at my local F.r.y.s. for $80. I'm so happy with it.

I came across this case when my wife pointed it out. I was looking at the HAF and Storm cases when she said she liked the Raven the best, based purely on looks. I gave it a look and read some reviews. Turns out she picked a great case.

About a week later we went back to get some other things and check it out again. For some reason F.r.y.s. cut the price in half. They had one in stock and now i own it. It was a good day.

4 out of 5 eggsCrazy Case

Pros: I thought I would try out the whole 90 orientation since I was impressed with the Raven RV02 build I did for a friend of mine. I used to have a HAF X and while it worked well with my SLI GTX480's, the interior of the case would heat up due to the rising heat. This was a problem because the heat would blow through the radiators on my H50 and warm my CPU buy a small but significant amount. (I had the same problem whether the fan was set for intake or exhaust) Even with all 7 fans turned on high, the HAF X would still have issues. 480's are a beast. Once I got everything installed the Raven I'm happy to say that the design works. My 480's still run hot, but they don't spool up as loud as they used to. My CPU also runs cooler, by 10-12C because hot air isn't rising up into the H50 radiator. Most of the time I can keep the system fans on low and my 480's fan speed usually hovers around 2700 RPM, which is better than the 3300 they used to average.

Cons: My case must have been made the day before a Chinese holiday.

The case arrived fine with no blemishes, but there was no mounting hardware or power fan splitter. No accessories, no manuals, nothing. Just the case. Fortunately I've built enough computers that I have a bunch of extra screws laying around that I was able to use. The stand offs and hard drive cage screws were already installed so I didn't have to worry about them. However....

Since I was using a ATX motherboard I had to install three additional stand offs. The stand offs I had would not screw into the holes where they were supposed to go. From what I could tell they didn't appear to be tapped. Maybe I was supposed to use special ones that were threaded differently? I wouldn't know since I didn't get any hardware. I tried to force a stand off in, but the stud broke. So I had to give up and forget about the three screws. The rest of the stand offs are holding fine.

Overall Review: Besides the issues I had with missing accessories I'm very happy with the case and would buy another one. Once you get past the unnatural and strange layout, it actually makes sense. More importantly it functions well and for me, looks great. I'd give it 5 eggs but missing hardware is a real PITA.

Side note. I installed three additional 120mm fans. One on the back, side (where the hard drives are) and in the front. The back fan does a good job keeping the one GPU cool and the side fan keeps the hard drives cool.

You don't have to take the front panel off to remove the twisty tie that holds the internal power cord. Just reach up in there and untie it before you install the PSU. Remove unused hard drive cages/holders because it makes it easier to run or hide cables. When running the SATA cable to your DVD drive be sure to use a cable that's 24" or 26" long because it's a long stretch.

GTX 480's will always be hot and loud no matter which case you use. Grrr....

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Case

Pros: - Great airflow
- Comes with Air Penetrator 180mm fans (ap121) stock
- Shorter depth makes for easier placement in my cramped room
- Really like the design, but that's all subjective
- Innovative hard drive storage and PSU placement
- If the stock fans aren't enough, there's 6 more options to fill!!
- Perfect air cooling case for enthusiasts

Cons: - Looks, i guess?
- PSU restriction may put some people off
- Not meant for water cooling
- Only 3 out of 9 fan slots filled, but unless you're pushing your comp to the limits, those are all the fans you''ll need

Overall Review: The PSU selection is more limited but not a deal-breaker. Silverstone has a 1000w PSU that works perfectly fine. Also, a lot of people seem to not like the gold stripe, but that again is subjective. You can, however, remove the strips and paint them yourself if you really don't like it. Be careful with the top cover, as you need just enough force to lift it up, too much may snap the clips that hold it onto the bindings.
This case is being used for my first PC build, really happy with it, and love the options for the additional fan slots. Although there are some cons, they are very negligible. The features and innovation this case offers far outweigh its 'flaws'. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not fit Intel server board

Pros: Sleek case, lots of room. I just *looks* great. Two large fans on the bottom and another fan on the top. The power supply fits snugly on the bottom front. Side covers come off easily - no tools required. The mother board physically fit into the case no problem (but see cons below!). The hard drives fit on an enclosure with rubber grommet baffles. All in all a killer case.

Cons: Supposed to fit an SSI CEB motherboard. In fact, 'CEB' is imprinted on the case. My Intel server motherboard lined up perfectly with the imprint and fit in the case perfectly. Just one problem - only the top left four screws fit. The three along the bottom and also along the right side did not line up with screw holes in the case. I called the manufacturer and provided them with several pictures highlighting the problem areas. The fellow I spoke with did not sound very knowledgeable. No response after my initial contact. Thank goodness for New Egg's return policy.

Overall Review: Had the case been able to mount my motherboard I would have given 5/5. But not having the screw holes in the correct place combined with lack of response from customer service meant unfortunately I had to give just one star.

5 out of 5 eggsunder rated

Pros: Space, design, good fans, price isn't bad for what you get.

Cons: None really.

Overall Review: Yes, the fans do get pretty loud at max settings, but I don't see why anyone would need them set at max. Low settings are very quiet and cool extremely effectively.

My gtx 670 maxes at 56 under load, Idles are 25 and the fans on the gpu never go past 20%.
My Asrock OC Formula motherboard hovers between 29 - 39 degree area.
Finally my 2700k clocked at 5.0ghz idles high 30 and maxes in the 60 degree range, but I blame that on my current heatsink and fan setup.

Bottom line, it keeps everything within my case plenty cool at low settings, and at those settings the noise is very tolerable and not a remote issue. It creates an audible, but light hum.

The case itself is very sturdy and easy to work with. I take the top cover off a lot and haven't had any issues. It's very easy to remove and well made. It does make a loud snapping sound when putting it back on, maybe that's what worries people, but it's fine.

Subjective, but I also think it looks good. I prefer a more sleek case, this isn't it but it doesn't look bad either.

4 out of 5 eggsPleasantly Surprised

Pros: I was looking for a case that could squeeze in 9 3.5" hard drives, a blu-ray drive, a full size graphics card, and a raid controller without overheating. This thing is a beast, it easy fit everything and has slots for another 3.5" and a 2.5" drive. What folks are saying about the cable management is true--I had to reroute the front switches because of my micro-atx board, but they're sheathed in a protective sleeve and extremely long so it was no sweat. There are cable tie-downs along several points where you can secure a twist-tie, which is great since they are replaceable.

Easily the best layout and compartmentalization of hot components I've ever owned. There are two gigantic fans on the bottom of the case which each have high/low switched on the top, but it's very quiet and doesn't bother me. Filters on all the fans to help reduce dust-suck.

Slightly pointless since they're right next to the mobo connectors, there are USB 3.0 & audio jacks on top in front; my line-in was broke

Cons: Looks ridiculous. Good grief.

My power supply fit perfectly, but the power cable which reroutes the plug to beneath the case is very short and I had to stretch it more than I would like to connect it. No real options here since the plug had to be oriented on the far side of the cable.

You could use a smaller power supply with this case and leave it unmounted; the power supply has its own compartment and even if it were rolling around it could not damage the other components.

The accents and a few internal pieces are made of a very light, flimsy plastic. I can easily see damaging the brackets for mounting 120mm fans on the hard drives.

I was careful and took my time to unscrew all the inconspicuously black screws in the hard drive mounts and did not have anything damaged. The handle on the top is very, very questionable, I would never even consider trying to lift it with the case fully loaded. But at this pricepoint the infrastructure is all that matters, and it's quite soli

5 out of 5 eggsAn amazing case! BUT be warned.

Pros: Cable Management is par none, I have used the HAF 932 and a few corsair cases as well but I must say this thing is a cable management beast.

The air flow from the 180mm fans is quite impressive while being eerily quiet. On low there literally is NO sound making me wonder if the computer is even on. On High the only thing you actually hear is the air being blown up onto my components.

As a full tower case it has plenty of room and then some to handle the biggest hardware, from a full ATX motherboard to the bigger server boards as well. Anyone who owns the behemoth sized HD 6990 or GTX 590 should find no issues with clearance in this case.

Cons: There isn't much to say about the Raven 03 except that if you have big parts in there make sure your cables are long enough to reach where they are needed. I am using a 700W Kingwin Mach 1 power supply and the PCI-E cables BARELY reach so be warned, get a power supply with cables that have a bit of reach. also if you are using a Self-Contained Liquid cooling setup such as the Corsair H50 or Antec H2O 920 that the top placement of the 120mm fan is rather perfect BUT a tight fit when you have a DVD/CD-ROM drive installed so please install the drive first THEN the cooling unit.

Also when it comes to video cards it must be said that you will want a "leaf-blower" designed type card like my ASUS GTX 470 because this case is designed for getting hot air out of the case ASAP, so a custom air cooled card, such is the MSI HAWK series will still cool fine but will end up dumping heat back into the case, you don't want that I'm sure.

Overall Review: I thoroughly recommend this case to anyone who want's a spacious full tower case at a good price!

Pros: Great case, solidly constructed.

High quality filters that are mounted for instant access, removal, and cleaning.

Built in pre-wired fan controller, tons of options for HD/SSD placement and customization.

Amazing default cooling that dropped all of my component temperatures by 3-4 C.

I love that Silverstone kept the length of this case down with the PSU mounted in the front, instead the awkward floating PSU and extra length of the FT02.

Cons: This is hardly a con, but good looking cable management behind the motherboard panel will require some planning.

Also, while I personally liked the way this case looks, the champagne stripes and raven logo may turn off some would be buyers.

Overall Review: I'm glad I finally made the move to a rotated motherboard Silverstone case.

If you like the way case looks, the RV03 will exceed your expectations.

5 out of 5 eggsSilverStone RAVEN Series RV03B

Pros: I disagree with the majority of the cons people have listed.

1. Yes the case is heavy since it is made of steel, not plastic.
2. After almost a year and probably 50 top(roof) removals I have yet to have a broken part.
3. The power supply cable is not a problem. All you have to do is untwist the cable tie and it can be reached with the side cover off.
The fans do an excellent job of cooling using only the bottom and one top fan, my case stays at(27 degrees"C")
5. It is suggested that you get longer Sata cables if using the front DVD's slots.
6. If you understand how the front fans fit, it is no problem to remove and install them. They lock into the front drive housings, which are removable.
7. To the guy who wrote the case is ugly. All I can say you should have not bought it if youa re going to condemn it's looks.

Cons: Not a thing

Overall Review: The best case I have built a system in the past 30 years.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case! Great Features!

Pros: This case has superb airflow, nice design, good build quality, common sense with thermal dynamics, I think all cases should be like this. Heat only rises, and by turning all the components sideways all of the air rapidly goes from bottom to top in a fast motion, you dont have other fans swirling the heat around the components finding a way to the exhaust slowly over time, this is just a woosh from bottom to top, with all the components lined sideways in line to get the rush of cool air and pushing all the hot air out.

Cons: None at all.

Overall Review: I suggest reading that it only comes with 1 top fan, and get some 55+ CFM (Airflow) Fans for the front. and a 110+ CFM (Scythe brand or similar) 120mm fans, so the airflow from the 2 180mm fans at the bottom can exit as fast as possible via a scythe 120mm fan out the top, since that is the objective of this case

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Case for Neat Freaks

Pros: Addendum to my last review ...

Cons: ...

Overall Review: I have never had good luck getting shipped pc cases. The last time I bought them a long time ago, I ordered some cheap Rosewill cases and the plexiglass windows came broken. I ordered two, got two broken cases, and got yet another broken case after the exchange. I exchanged it only to have the plexiglass cracked a little and decided to cut my losses on shipping and keep it.

This time around the very bottom of my Raven v03 was cracked. There were some pieces from inside the faceplate that broke but, viewing from the front, it was not missing any plastic pieces. I decided to cover the crack with case badges and you'd never know it was there.

Shippers (in this case UPS) are too rough on cases and hold the primary blame, but manufacturers/retailers should pick up on this trend and add more packing.

4 out of 5 eggsBeautiful design, terrible material

Pros: This is at the same time the best and worst case I've ever owned.

The thermal efficiency design is second-to-none, of course. But it's the little thoughtful things like the angled top-mounted USB3 ports and headphone jacks that really show how carefully some of this case was designed. The rubber hard drive mounts are a great touch; I'm a big fan of those.

The two bottom fans move slowly enough so that they are quiet but they still displace a huge amount of air. The filters (of which there are many) are incredibly easy to remove and clean.

Cable management is fantastic. There are port holes in the motherboard tray at all the right places so you can keep the clutter to a minimum. Drives can be mounted to trays behind the motherboard if you like, but the mounts can also be cleverly used to manage your excess cabling as well. The front-mounted power supply might seem awkward at first but in the end it works out really well.

Cons: At the same time, it must be said that the plastic Silverstone used to build this case is crud. Caution must be used when removing the top panel because the supports and anchors will easily snap off. The small handle to the rear of the case is made of the same plastic and that can break easily as well, paradoxically.

The material is so flimsy that I had to RMA my first shipment because the front hard drive panels were shattered, along with all but one of the top panel mounts and the back handle. I don't mean bent or broken, I mean shattered into tiny pieces. Perhaps an overzealous UPS employee can be blamed, but while my second attempt was largely perfect, one of the hard drive panels had snapped anyway. Out of spite, perhaps? This terrible material quality is really why I didn't give this case a 5/5 rating.

Also, as a minor complaint, the "tool-less" hard drive mounts could be designed better. They'll do in a pinch but a cautious owner will want to screw the drives in any

Overall Review: The RV03 is a fair sight cheaper than its predecessors and the material quality was evidently the sacrificial lamb. The little design flaws, such as the tool-less hard drive mounts might bug you a little, but the subtle acts of engineering genius will win you back a second later.

The RV02 is not nearly as well designed as the RV03 or the RV01, plus it's reversed for some reason, so I don't consider it an upgrade option. The RV01 is still obviously the better product, but it's also significantly more expensive. If you can afford the upgrade, I'd recommend it, but the RV03 will not be a purchase you'll end up regretting, not by a long shot. I own this case with a sense of pride, but the RV01 still makes me green with envy.

4 out of 5 eggsSidegrade

Pros: ==Wonderful cable management
==Plenty of expansion bays
==Great motherboard cooling
==USB 3.0 front panel
==More compact without sacrificing overall space
==Power supply placement

Cons: ==Power supply orientation (more on this below)
==No hard drive cooling included
==Gold stripe, really?

Overall Review: The power supply connects inside the case to an included adapter. The adapter is oriented ONE way at 90 degrees.
If your power supply does not match this orientation (Antec, Corsair, etc) then you will have to bend the cable around to plug it in and it will NOT fit. Silverstone's solution is to take the front of the case off and remove a twist tie holding the power adapter cable back to give more slack. But you are still left with plugging the cable in from the opposite direction, which given such a slick case, looks pretty wonky.

Other than no fans for any of the hard drive bays, a very solid case. Love that its shorter than my Raven2 but has the same interior capacity.

4 out of 5 eggsAlmost there

Pros: Air cooling with FILTERS. Dust bunnies killed my last PC, which is why I picked this case. The cable management is a plus.

Cons: The provided power plug extender is really short. It could use a few more IO ports for the front and an external 3.5 bay. No LED fans. They should have made at least on of the intake fan light up the case from the bottom. I had a spare 120mm one I put in the back, bu sound card is blocking most of the light to the MB.

Overall Review: You will need some extra time with your build if you use this case. A few tips to help out...
1a. Choose a power supply with the third prong opposite the intake fan.
1b. If that's not an option, you will have to undo the twist tie holding the cord down. It is a tight fit and prob only be able to get a couple fingers in there. This should be just enough to be able to flip the cord upside down to plug in.
2. Install your CPU cooler last. You can put in all the brackets, just hold off on the heat sink and fans.
3. Plug cables into optic drives first, then feed them thru the bays.

4 out of 5 eggsnice case

Pros: -silverstone's unique 90degree mobo mount totally awesome
-nice air flow w/ 2 air penetrator fans (see cons as well)
-lot a potential fan installation
-hdd bays @ behind the mobo is really well thought

-seen few ppl hate the stripes, but i love it, looks good

Cons: hey newegg, i thought this case is priced at $139,

so the air penetrator, if you aren't lucky, you might get the fan it hits the bottom of the case and possibly cause "break"
just look at the reviews for 180mm AP fan, the AP fan
one of my fans has this problem so i'm going to put a washer/spacer between fan and case

i think the people who gets this case are pretty much enthusiasts, doesn't go crazy with "silent pc" this case, more like 2 AP fans are pretty loud,

Overall Review: it's big, this is a full tower case,
just looking at the pictures i thought this is a mid-tower case
so i was thinking "mid-tower RAVEN case? what?"
but this case it pretty big. i just wonder how big are rv01 and 02s

5 out of 5 eggsWas one of the easiest and definitely the neatest case I have had the pleasure of working with.

Pros: The Case has so much room, the way it is orientated makes running cables simple as easy. The case stays cool, The end product is worth it, it was smartly put together. I build systems all the time and have used two of these in previous builds for people and have been amazed how simple they have made it to make a great, clean looking build, no matter if it is liquid or air cooled.

Cons: non really

Overall Review: Wish I could afford the TJ-11, but this case is pretty close to it.

5 out of 5 eggsperfect case

Pros: I have been building computers for htpc, office, personal and gaming for 10 years. This is now my favorite case for my own gaming builds.

it's very large, and although there is a lot of plastic parts it feels very well made.

The vertical design is strange at first, but airflow is amazing.

Some things I've noted:

1) if you have a lot plugged into it like monitors, speakers, kB/mouse, headphones the wires can get in the way of the top exhaust area, looking cumbersome and possibly restricting flow. But they give you about 1.5 inches on the back panel side of the top to zip tie all those cords so make use of them. overall it really looks much cleaner because you can manage those wires and they are funneled out of the rear space on the top all together and under control. It makes for a very neat looking setup.

2) You have enough room around this case to set up any water cooling system you want. I prefer air cooling for ease and there's also plenty of space for any aftermarket CPU cooler.

3) There's a space on the side behind the mobo to mount a fan that blows directly on the back of your CPU slot. I've never considered this before using this case but it actually seems to help temps when under loads and oc'd.

4) The space behind the mobo for cable management is quite large, but there's also space to mount drives back there. I ended up using those spots, and I maxed this thing out on fans and drives, so I had to get some extensions and do a little zig zag work.

Cons: The PSU hookup comes out of the bottom just behind the front panel. It is very cumbersome to get to and work with.

Not really a con for me because I don't move the case and the legs on the bottom make it so the cord isn't in the way of anything.

The plastic window on the side feels a little cheaper than some other cases I've used, but I have not had any issues with it.

Overall Review: There are a lot of towers in this price range with great features. And many have vents through the top of the case for airflow even though the mobo isn't mounted vertically.

Two things did it for me and they're reason I'll keep buying them for future builds as long as they're available.

It's a unique look, and people often want to take a closer look when they see it.
Because of the design it gives you a great way to manage cables for devices and monitors that are hooked up to it, and looks clean all around.

3 out of 5 eggsSpacious Case - Fan troubles

Pros: Huge case, nice design for the motherboard to allow ease of access from the top. Ran cool until issue below.

Cons: The 2 main overhead Fans died about a month of usage. I read this in previous reviews but chalked it up to a random occurrence. Seems to be a quality issue with the fans. If you're planning on gaming normally with this case and don't have any other cooling inside I'd suggest you pick something else or invest in additional fans.

Overall Review: Really dig the design. The black and gold is a nice touch and was relatively easy to move my old pc guts into this new case. Just wish the fans didn't die out so quick, now I have to look into some alternatives to make sure I don't overheat my rig.

Manufacturer Response:

Thank you very much for purchasing a SilverStone. Since this case comes with a 1 year warranty, we can help you replace the defective fans directly so please contact us if you haven't already.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat but not Perfect

Pros: Looks great and the case itself is very flexible in terms of what you can do and what you can put inside it. The motherboard rotation is awesome and really brings out the hardware and makes it look great. The space on the side opposite of the motherboard is huge and awesome, I was able to tame a non modular power supply with relative ease. Overall the case is simply fantastic.

Cons: Unfortunately there are some minor hickups here. First off one of the bolts on the side window isn't pushed in all the way so the window has flex there. Plus the style of the pins bolted on the side window as it is looks pretty cheap and unappealing. The place on the bottom where you plug in the power cable to the power supply is the most awkward thing ever and I see why its like this but honestly I wish there was some other way. With the way the hard drives are mounted in the back you have to twist around a lot of cables to get them to the hard drives. Also the distance from the motherboard sata ports to the hard drives is pretty big so keep that in mind. I ran into trouble getting some 90 degree sata cables to even go. Lastly I wanted to use the fan mounts at the front of the case to mount a radiator but there was clearance issues with my motherboard that prevented me from doing that. I ended up taking out everything in the front and simply using industrial grade velcro which was pretty easy and inexpensive.

Overall Review: As a side note, I can't honestly recommend this case. For the price you can get something better with less hassles than this. The reason though I gave it 4 stars is because in the end everything works and its just awesome for ME, but not necessarily you. Something else works better for less, an Enthoo Luxe, a Thermaltake case, but, this case is great. Especially if you really want a 90 degree rotation, which is a big reason i got this case.

4 out of 5 eggsWorthy Product with a few Missteps

Pros: * Excellent Airflow
* Quiet Operation
* Fan mount behind CPU
* Good cable routing if using long cables
* Best manual EVER

Cons: * Overall poor build quality
* Design features lacking or poorly executed (see below)
* Not so good watercooling support
* Wasteful front USB ports

Overall Review: This case has some great things going for it. It's mostly quiet and looks nice, with excellent airflow. I do not regret building in it. The case manual in particular is very good, and even first time builders will have a joy of a time filling this case with hardware.

However, there are some obvious and serious missteps. First of all, watercoolers will be disappointed. There is not much room for either a pump or reservoir, although cable management is excellent. The fan mount at the back of the case is positioned in such a way that should you want to use it, you need to use an mATX board, a smaller fan, or shift the mount about 30 mm toward the sidepanel. Silverstone easily could have prevented this by properly placing this mount, or two even, closer to the window. Furthermore, the front bay covers look cheap and plastic-y, which sadly matches the top cover. I really wish the front covers were the usual Siverstone aluminum, and the top cover held rad-mounts, or was hinged in some way, or anything more utilitarian than what is available. Finally, the front USB ports are merely pass-throughs for the "back" ports on the motherboard. Headers really would have been better here, although given the 90 degree rotation, I understand Silverstone's choice here.

All in all, this is a great case, but would have been better if 30 dollars more for better quality. Although the RV-03 is a very good case, it is not the compelling alternative to the FT-02, or even the RV-02, that the price point demands, or this Silverstone fanboy expects.

4 out of 5 eggsGood case

Pros: its a good case, lots of space, good design, good airflow and easy access usb 3.0,

Cons: After about 4 months of owning this case the 2 fans or the fan switches started to malfunction, they will only stay on a low setting, switching it to high only turns the rpm up a VERY tiny bit and very slowly and an uneven acceleration (they used to jump up in rpm's in a second) Cannot fit H80i (exhaust fan) without grinding the handle off the top of the side panel, but cant notice that with the top piece on it so thats fine.

Pros: Air flow, rear handle, intake filters, metal frame, incredible.

Cons: I don't like the "snap" locks for the bays. I actually broke one when I was first looking at it (tried to pull it all the way up to 90 degrees).

It isn't as long as the Raven 2 was, so you can run out of space if your mobo is too long. But it is taller, allowing me to fit both my graphics cards in it.

The PSU bay was... Not planned out as well as it could be. Had the stretch the interior cable to its max length, but it works.

Overall Review: I "would" buy it again. In fact I have, 3 more times. I've replaced it with another Raven 3 when it broke (Not a reflection of the case's durability). And I've built two other machines using Raven 3s. I don't know if I will ever buy any other case as long as the mobo will fit, and these are still being made.

Pros: Great case. Love the 90 degree rotation on the MoBoard. Added two additional 120 MM fans and have great air flow. Very solid build. Like the isolators on the hard drive mounting to keep things quiet. Very quiet with the 180 MM case fans. I would build with the case again.

Cons: None

Pros: Very good case. Lots of fan support and lots of airflow. Allows for very good wire management.

Cons: Took forever to install fans in all the applicable spots. Front filters could've been made easier to clean.

4 out of 5 eggsAmazing pain

Pros: - Spacious
- great cable management.
- 2 included 180 fans are very quiet on low
- magnetic dust covers on bottom make for easy removal/cleaning
- looks great
- GREAT manual included with many pictures... not one of those fold outs that can be confusing to follow... this is like a 50 page booklet... very nice

Cons: The only con I can come up with is the initial setup is a bit of a pain in the tail... This really only applies if you're decking this sucker out with the extra 7 120mm fans it supports... particularly the 4 fans that can go in the 5 1/4" drive cages... I docked one star because I have put together several computers in the past and transferring my equipment to this case had to be the most frustrating build I have ever undergone... BUT once it's done it looks beautiful... very clean... I would recommend it to anyone with the caveat of expect the build to take longer than usual. I predict future upgrades with this case will be painless though...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat case!

Pros: My system temperature with one extra 120mm fan is about 20C, and my CPU with a Hyper 212 Plus is 18C.
The gold stripe is not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, in fact I actually kind of like it.
The overall look and feel of the case is amazing.

Cons: The setup was a little tricky, but where it was my first build I blame almost all of it on lack of experience, the exception being my SATA cable for my optical drive isn't long enough to to hide behind the motherboard tray.

Overall Review: I can't say I have any real complaints, it keeps everything cool and looks great. I know people have been saying some of the plastic feels cheap, and it might be, but I haven't felt the need to be careful with it.

I would STRONGLY recommend this case to anyone who wants a cold case but doesn't want to use water cooling.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Case

Pros: Looks great!! great cooling features, love the inverted motherboard.

Cons: Cheaply made in some areas, they had great engineering but ruined by cheap plastic parts. It wasnt a cheap case but not the most expensive either, but some stuff just feels really cheap. But over all its a sweet case. Just a few quality and material issues. Kinda loud as well.

Overall Review: Later looked on Tiger Direct, yea should have purchased it from them case was cheaper and shipping was cheaper at Tiger, but oh well live and learn, I just assumed Newegg was cheaper. Not gonna do that anymore!

4 out of 5 eggsbroken cases

Pros: something is going on w these broken cases i've looked at a lot of reviews theres alot of em. all brands . either ups is really throwing these around or people are doing it them selves so they can return a case they don't like. lots of room good quality case.

Cons: not for the case except your wires connect under the plastic top convienant but odd i guess. every time you have to remove top to plug in & remove anything will get worn & loose.

Overall Review: i have never bought a case from newegg i've never spent over 70.00 never have i gotten a damaged case 6 cases in all. 5 differant co. i have bought numerous items from newegg never got something i had to return even open box items not one.lucky? maybe? i think it's the Big Guy in the sky smiling down.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Case. Feels a little cheap

Pros: - 90 degree rotated orientation of motherboard helps with air flow.
- Large 180mm fans can really move air, or be whisper quiet when turned down.
- Dust filters help a lot!

Cons: Plastic feels a bit cheap and flimsy as if it may break. Indeed, the case arrived with two broken drive bay covers (which Silverstone did promptly replace) but I am concerned that they may break again with regular use.

Case also arrived without the manual or the box with the supplied hardware. (Silverstone did also promptly send out replacement hardware)

The flimsy plastic is of particular cause for concern with the top lid. If you have a need to frequently access the back connectors of your computer, (like if you have a Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium HD which requires plugging in and unplugging headphones to switch to speakers and back) then this may not be the case for you. The plastic lid feels flimsy, and connects using pop-in legs that look like they could very easily break off.

Some sort of more sturdy hinged, folding or sliding design would be preferable.

Overall Review: I like the case overall apart from the complaints above.

I wound up cutting a hole in the lid so I can access my headphone jack without taking it off and risking breaking the lid legs. This could be better, but I can live with it.

I'm not too upset with Silverstone regarding the missing parts as they did correct it immediately. It still was a little frustrating as it delayed my build by a week as I only have time to build on weekends, and the first weekend - due to the lack of the hardware box - I didn't have the required standoffs to screw the motherboard down securely (some were preinstalled, not enough). I looked around m house but my old standoffs had different threaded bottoms and wouldn't work.

The gold stripe is a little awkward looking, but hey I knew this before buying it. It's a subjective thing.

Silverstones specs list a version with and without a window, but they only seem to sell the windowed one. I hate windowed cases, and I guess will have to cover it my

2 out of 5 eggsNot what I expected

Pros: This case is huge, but long not tall, which might make it better fit in small spaces. Good airflow, nice styling

Cons: The plastic is cheap. The champange stripes are ugly, I repainted mine. The top 120mm fan never worked, I replaced it. The real issue is the layout. With the unusual motherboard placement it is hard to get a SATA cable to the top slot. The front USB 3.0 have a type A plug, not a motherboard 20 pin header, the wires are short. The bottom 180mm fans block the header connection. The unusual front PSU placement creates a wiring nightmare, cause the case side to bulge, and if the PSU wires are not long enough, might present a challenge. The front fan brackets are a nightmare to refit once removed, and don't allow wires to route behind the motherboard, ruining a clean install look. Access to the back I/O plate (top of the computer) require the user to remove the top plastic bezel, which is of cheap plastic.

Overall Review: This case promises much, but delivers little. Over engineering a case does not make it better. I would recommend skipping this one.

2 out of 5 eggsReturned

Pros: Cool looking case with the 90 degree turned motherboard mount.

Cons: Took too long to put a PC together in this case. I have a MSI P67A-GD80 MB, Intel i5 2600k, 16 gb ram, 120GB SSD, 600GB WD Velociraptor, 2TB Hitachi HDD, 2 EVGA GTX 580s in SLI, a Soundblaster Titanium HD sound card, and Corsair 1000W PSU. The PSU didn't fit and there were too many cables needed preventing any decent cable management. The design idea was there, but the end product wasn't.

Overall Review: I had high hopes for this case and really wanted to love it like I love my Obsidian 800D. I recommend going with the Raven RV2, Thermaltake Chaser, or any of the Corsair Obsidian cases.

4 out of 5 eggsDouble Edged Sword

Pros: -Best air cooling out there

-Not as flimsy as people seem to comment, it is in fact made of metal, the front panel and top pannels are the only things with plasticc, and it is sturdy plastic with that. Sturdy construction.

-Big

-Looks much better in person

-Great cable routing, no issue putting on either panel.

-Fans are HUGE

Cons: - If you are planning on installing a liquid cooling block for your cpu, your in for a challenge, not impossible though

- Hardrive mounts are rediculously stupid. One egg off for how they are made. The screw literally goes through the rubber grommet

Overall Review: I am running two 6850's and they are running super cool at 30 degrees celcius WITH OVERCLOCKING!

3 out of 5 eggsnot as great as i thought

Pros: easy wiring, great airflow 90 degree mounted mobo. no flashing lights (HD light I don't count). nice cover tucking of acc cords.

Cons: does not come with a 3.5 to 5.25 bay no bezel. you have to buy it, for another 20$, I paid 190 almost with S&H. and I don't even get a bay?
Bought a week ago now its cheaper lol.
I emailed them as maybe this was a over site. I was basically told tough.
I will not buy another silverstone product, going back to coolermaster.

Overall Review: I really like the case! I don't like the cheapness of the company.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT CASE

Pros: A LOT OF ROOM BEHIND THE MOTHERBOARD TRAY FOR CABLE MANAGEMENT

GREAT COOLING

90 DEGREE MOTHERBOARD TURNED CREATS BETTER COOLING & EASY CABLE MANAGEMENT OUTSIDE OF THE CASE

Cons: IT DOESN'T COME WITH A MICROWAVE ATTACHMENT

3 out of 5 eggsGreat Air Cooling but...

Pros: The case has excellent air cooling options and capabilities. I bought six more 120mm fans to max the slots for air cooling the case actually has better air cooling than the Coolermaster HAF 932 which I had before. The case does support a full 360 Radiator internally if mounted vertical. This case since I have had it has cooled my stuff better than any other case by 15-25c less than the HAF 932. Also if you have the ability with a mobo you can mount up to 11 HDD's or SSD's with this case!!!

Cons: The case is very cheaply made and plastic will break with ease! $160 case isn't bad but I wish the plastic would have been stronger.

Overall Review: Wish the case had better options for internal liquid cooling without having to mod the internal parts.

4 out of 5 eggsSweet Case

Pros: Comes with 3 fans built in, which is awesome. It's a perfect size. Not to big nor too small even if you are wishing to build a monster super computer like myself. All of my components fit very well and have plenty of room to breathe. Easy cable management.

Cons: There are a few cheap plastic aspects here and there but it's no biggie.

Overall Review: Looks neat.

2 out of 5 eggsdoes not live up

Pros: This case is huge. With the motherboard rotated 90 degrees, the case is much shorter than the average full tower. The two 180mm air perpetrator fans work well. The outside has a real clean look.

Cons: The top 120mm fan was inoperable, I was planning to change it, so not so bad. The fan housings in the front don't work well, I had to fight with them for over two hours when putting fans in them. Because of the motherboard layout, a standard sata cable won't reach the top slots. This case should have come with long cables. The front mounted power supply makes closing the case cumbersome. Too much cheap plastic, this case should be all aluminum.

Overall Review: I bought this case because of the unusual styling, and the ability to customize it. I loaded it up with LED fans, which I changed to orange LEDs. I painted the champagne stripes copper. I also changed the blue LEDs in the front chevron to orange. All in all I would not buy this case again.

3 out of 5 eggsdisappointed

Pros: truly unique interior design... the reason i got it. i like the idea of the rotated motherboard and smaller footprint versus previous raven iterations... and the harddrive and power supply locations are very different than anything i've seen.

Cons: plastic... the reason i hesitated in buying it... and my concern was justified. it arrived with both top panels completely broken off, several broken front panels, and a ruined fan filter. i'm not confident in my decision to rma for a replacement.

Overall Review: even if i receive the replacement in good condition, i still don't like the idea of being careful with brittle plastic. any time i play with av cables or open the case, i'm gonna have to be mindful of the fragile nature of the top panel's plastic tabs. my advice to potential buyers is to wait for silverstone to address this prevalent issue in a future revision (which was my plan, but i couldn't help myself!)

5 out of 5 eggsHigh Quality

Pros: The quality of this case is very high, do not get put off by the "plastic".
Lots of room.
Air Penetrator fans are amazing!

Cons: None so far.

Overall Review: I called Silverstone and verified that the Asus Maximus Extreme IV will fit.
I called silverstone and verified that the GTX 590s will be cooled good, even with the double ended exhaust.
I'll give more input when I build the system. I'm waiting on my GTX 590s.
