5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: Great aesthetics, nice packaging. All cables have black mesh braiding around them. There's a switch to enable/disable hybrid mode which keeps the fan off at < 20% load. I just bought a Gigabyte GA-X79-UD7 mb and it has 2 x 8-pin connectors for power and this psu has two slots to plug in an 8-pin cable. However, one of those slots is a 2 x 8-pin pcie plug, so if you want quad-sli/crossfire and own this mb, um, you'll only be able to give your mb 1 x 8-pin power? Pretty sure that would be just fine though. Lots and lots of cables, probably more than any desktop user would need. 11 sata power connectors, 9 molex, a molex to 4-pin fan PWM converter, 2 x 8-pin atx and 8 x 8-pin pcie. I might be forgetting something else, but whatever, look it up. Big solid power rocker on the back.

Cons: If you're putting this on the bottom of your case and you want to suck air up through the bottom opening, you'll have to flip the psu over so the 'xfx' on the back is upside down. I'm fairly ocd about stuff like this but this doesn't bother me.

Overall Review: Bought from a site that shares a name with a jungle in south america for a little cheaper.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat PSU

Pros: this is a great unit with really good features. Like the hybrid fan mode. looks great also. came with alot of cables.nice thick power cord.

Cons: the only thing is when your plugging in cables to the back. it seem a little flimsy to me. just be careful and dont use a ton of force. not worth taking an egg

Overall Review: If you slow this PSU down, then you may need to get a house generator lol

3 out of 5 eggsNice unit but the fan exploded after a year.

Pros: Solid, Powerful, Modular, Nice cables.

Cons: You HAVE to register your product and submit the RMA on the XFX website. This is a huge inconvenience when you cant turn on your computer. This upset me the most.

Fan violently failed after 1 year 2 months. Unit has virtually no dust because its in my office inside a fully filtered Cosmos-II case. Would not expect it to go out so soon on such an expensive PSU.

Was working last night when the fan started making the most horrific noise. I shut down the pc and opened up the door and it smelled like smoke.

Overall Review: Modular cables made it pretty easy to get a $69 replacement Thermaltake at best buy and swap it in.

Manufacturer Response:

Hello NMD, we're sorry our RMA process asks you to verify your identity and serial number. Unfortunately, its a small measure we must to ensure RMA request Authenticity. I'm happy you have already started your RMA and would be happy to personally expedite your RMA if you email me the RMA number. Neweggsupport@xfxforce.com. Thank you

5 out of 5 eggsAll the cables I need + more

Pros: Love the looks of the power supply. Works great with my crossfire setup.

Cons: Cords are a bit snug but that’s because of the case I'm using. Would have loved it even more with better braiding on the cables but still a good value.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Looks nice, has tight voltages, runs pretty quietly.

Cons: The cables are pretty short and/or stiff. With a PSU of this magnitude, it should be expected that a large case would be used with a bottom-mounted PSU. The cables are too small in many cases, resulting in assembly being difficult and in some cases requiring the cables to be run across the front of the chassis instead of behind the motherboard tray (as with the 8-pin motherboard connector). I would've liked to see a few more inches on all the cables.

4 out of 5 eggsXFX Pro Series

Pros: Runs strong, cool, and quiet. Has a good modular design that allows plenty of room for expansion. An of course NewEgg is fast and awesome as normal. 5 Eggs on the unit itself.

Cons: Be sure to check the cables well, the unit I received had a wire pulled out. Upon checking further I found a few poorly crimped pins that needed replaced. 2 Eggs for the cables. This kind of thing happens from time to time and I am sure most of the cables are good. I am just glad I received this cable over someone that needed a drop-in unit since I have all the needed parts and tools to fix it.

Overall Review: I ended up making my own cables because they were too short for my build and I don't care for using extensions. I do build my own cases so the length issue is on me not XFX.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome PSU

Pros: it totally modular, it does look nice, the hybrid power fan works great, and when the fan is on it is so quiet.

Cons: the CPU cord could be a little longer, you may want to buy an extension. I was lucky that this unit has to places to plug your CPU into.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid product

Pros: XFX makes good power supplies

Cons: Newegg specifically prohibits criticizing its customer service. So I won't. But you can think about why they'd have to put that on as a prohibition. Consider going to some other trusted vendor. Perhaps near a big South American river (can't name names either).

1 out of 5 eggsGood power output, can't go the full mile

Pros: This power supply is a great value for the power output. The fully modular design reduces clutter.

Cons: This power supply failed within two months of purchase under a light load. My computer just started to randomly shutdown while it was under light load. I switched back to my Cosair 850M and now my system is working wonderfully.

I liked this supply while it lasted, now I am out 180 dollar for a useless supply that was supposed to have a MTBF of 100,000 hours. Very unhappy with this product.

5 out of 5 eggsBeast

Pros: This thing is a beast. Provides enough power to recharge a fleet of Teslas, and is rock solid stable. Powers 4 overclocked and power hungry GPUs plus a power hungry overclocked CPU, and it doesn't miss a beat.

I haven't actually looked, but the caps on this thing must be HUGE, as the power flashed for a couple of seconds and my computer kept right on running.

Also makes a good replacement for those expensive arc welders, see other thoughts.

Cons: Nothing yet, I plan to update with another review after I have had it for a year.

Overall Review: You need to be careful and make sure your connectors are plugged in firmly and make a good connection, as this thing is a single rail, and will push 130 amps into a short and melt metal, just check out some of the mishaps with bitcoin/litecoin mining rigs... Pros: The product has nice specs, but I could take advantage of them because the PSU stopped working after two weeks

5 out of 5 eggsMy brands choice

Pros: I have develop my own brand of Computers and I have specific preferences as to who I use for each hardware component.

I have used inexpensive Power supplies and realized that their liability greatly exceeds their minimal investment. Having said that. I do not go and scout for the most expensive alternatives.
This Power supply and the others in this brands product line up are a fantastic value as I have had ZERO failure with these and do not expect to ever have any. Why spend $400 on a different brand PS when this one is here for this price ... IT works.. It works well, it works well and looks great while working. BTW its a re branded PS from a very good company Shhhhhhh. I DONT CARE Its AWSOME!!

Cons: Yeah .... Ummm well no but it will not let me leave this blank.
All CPUs are presently using the Corsair Hydro series H100 ( Dont see it for sale here)
I have My preferences for Ram.
.CORSAIR XMS3 4GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 Desktop Memory Model CMX4GX3M1A1600C7
Every PC I build includes 4 of these in the MSI 990FXA - GD80 Motherboard.
Cas latency of 7 ... big deal?? Well it is the most stable Ram on the planet with FSB overclocking. Solid. Substantial difference in contrast to Cas latecy 9.
I have a AMD Phenom II x 6 configuration that I have clocked to 3.472 ( 2.8 Stock) and ran the burn in test for a crazy 30 days with the 92mm Zalman cooler and it never flinched.. 105 F highest temp.
do I feel confident with that build? YES. Made my power bill higher that month lol. R&D isn't free yanno.
