5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Keyboard

Pros: An excellent keyboard. True n-key rollover when used in PS/2. Nice tactile feel with audible clicks. If you are a touch typist you will appreciate a keyboard that can actually keep up with you! I use mine for both work and gaming. The pass through audio and usb ports are nice.

Cons: The ports are labeled with a tacky sticker that will inevitably get lost. While cheaper than other mechanical keyboards - it isn't THAT much cheaper. It can get loud if you are typing quickly. Sketchy PS/2 to USB support but that should be expected.

Overall Review: If you have never used a mechanical keyboard before I suggest you try it out. If you hunt and peck you probably will not understand the attraction but if you type properly there will be a definite benefit.

5 out of 5 eggsThe perfect keyboard

Pros: Mechanical keyboard - clickity clack. I type heavily for my job and have previously worn out 3 Microsoft Ergonomic keyboards, rubbed off the letters, left dents in the left alt and shift keys (I use them a lot for shortcuts). This keyboard has been through the hell of my typing for I think just over a year and still works flawlessly after millions of keystrokes. I was compelled to write something because of what a great keyboard this has been. Not sure when I'm going to have to replace it, but you can be sure that I will be buying the same exact keyboard.

I also bought a second one for a family member shortly after I bought mine because I liked it so much. He does not type as much as I do so his keyboard still looks and performs exactly as it did brand new.

Cons: I honestly cannot think of anything negative to say about this keyboard. It has been and still remains a joy to use.

Overall Review: With the cost of mechanical keyboards so high in the past I never wanted to make the investment. This price was great (think I even got it on sale, can't remember because it's been so long). Worth every penny if you type a lot.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic!

Pros: No annoying extra macro-keys and extra function keys that make the keyboard gigantic!

Cons: It is PS/2 and some motherboard do not have that anymore.

Overall Review: I used this keyboard for 3+ years of heavy gaming until I unfortunately spilled soda all over it (oops). This product is VERY durable and I would happily buy one again. Great tactile feedback from the MX blues. If you are looking for a mechanical keyboard without all of the dumb extra features, this is it!

5 out of 5 eggsSolid Keyboard

Pros: Full NKRO when used with the PS/2 adapter. High quality mechanical keyboard for a low cost. Pretty resilient keyboard, other than the feet.

Cons: Only 6KRO with USB. Feet are flimsy - about the same as the majority of other keyboards on the market. The audio passthrough on the keyboard seems to add noise to anything passing through it.

Overall Review: Best value for money full size mechanical keyboard that I am aware of. Compares nicely to $200+ keyboards.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat low-end mechanical keyboard

Pros: Springy feel.

Click-clacky sound.

USB hub, microphone, and headphone jacks.

"Lighter" key presses than a Model-M.

Very slight shimmer/pearl dark gray "piano" finish. I'm a person that loves to walk through Ikea and touch all the items on display. This passes my test.

Double-size BKSP key, ENTER key slightly larger than double-size and on one row, and a weird 1.5-key-sized pipe key. This is how all layouts should be.

Fantastic legs. These things are double-wide and have a rubber-coating to keep from slipping. Plus, the legs raise the rear of the keyboard up at least 8cm compared to maybe 1cm that current keyboards might make.

Cons: Picky personal preference warning: All of the keys are kind of shallow in reference to the body of the keyboard. This means they have less travel. It is especially pronounced in the arrow keys and the INS, DEL, HOME, END, PGUP, and PGDN keys. If all keys lay flat, how do I differentiate? I like tall keys I cannot lie.

Blue LEDs for the scroll, mouse, caps lock indicators. Why do these things still exist on computer parts?

Windows key only on the left side. For all of us that are used to doing the thumb-forefinger combination for the "lock screen" operation, get ready to switch to thumb-pinky or using both hands.

I am using this at work. I write code for a living. Therefore, when no one hears my keyboard, that means they think I'm not "working".

Overall Review: Cherry keys. Apparently, Cherry is a company that makes certain colored mechanisms that power some mechanical keyboards. I think different colors mean different things. For instance, mine are light-blue. I have also seen red and brown but I don't know how they compare.

I picked this up for three-quarters of one-hundred bucks. For someone who wants a "cheaper" mechanical keyboard, this is a fantastic buy.

5 out of 5 eggsSuperb!

Pros: Excellent tactile feel, amazingly responsive, easy to type on & increased typing speed. This keyboard is built to last, offers both PS/2 & USB connections and has some extras (like function keys which double as media keys, USB ports and Headphone jacks) without over-doing it like many modern keyboards.

Cons: None. Zero.

Overall Review: I would recommend this keyboard to anyone who types or games.

4 out of 5 eggsMediocre for a mechanical keyboard

Pros: Clicky tactile feel.

Cons: Too much play in the keys. They feel a little cheap.

The front of the keyboard is lifted too high off the surface. I'm thinking of putting some sort of riser there.

The "feet" are hard plastic, so it slides around easily on a smooth surface. It should be fitted with rubber feet to keep it in place.

The springs on the keys should be stronger. But I'll probably get used to that ultimately.

Overall Review: My 4/5 rating was comparing it to other keyboards. Compared to other tactile mechanical keyboards, I'd give it a '3'.

That said, it's FAR superior to 95% of the keyboards out there today with their mushy feel. If I could have justified the $250, I'd have purchased a Stellar Prime, or if I could get my time machine working properly, I'd go back and pick up a Northgate Omni Key 101. But with the time/space continuum what it is...

5 out of 5 eggsThe 135B

Pros: Solid construction , good feel when typing. This keyboard is
more CLACKY than CLICKEY. All of keyboard cable fittings
work with my MB.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsAdesso MKB-135B

Pros: This product is well built with all the cable terminal fittings working properly. The
"feel" of the keys is similar with the feel of the IBM PC and IBM XT keyboards. This
makes this Adesso 135B more like a CLACKY keyboard rather than a
CLICKEY one. I definitely like this keyboard as I have nobody else in my special
office-room to annoy.

Cons: None

4 out of 5 eggsProbably keep it till the letters wear off

Pros: Sturdy construction with good heft.

While not any louder than my old Logitech the keystrokes are a bit higher pitched. This may make it seem louder.

The USBs are nice, if a bit cramped.

Cons: The lip around the top of the keyboard means you won't be using any fat USB devices with it without an extender or hub of some sort.

This keyboard does seem a bit taller than my last one, making it awkward to rest my wrists on the desk as I type.

Overall Review: This keyboard helped me realize how clumsy of a typist I am, and hopefully I'll get used to the sensitivity quickly.

4 out of 5 eggsSolid

Pros: It is a solid keyboard and has some weight. The feet are great no sliding at all. It is a keyboard that has the feel of an old time keyboard. Think data entry keyboards.

Cons: Little disappointed that one of the keys sticks a little already. Figure I'll give it a few more days to see if it corrects itself before contacting Adesso.

Overall Review: As you can see the Y key still registers, but it sits a little lower than the other keys. A couple of taps and it is flush again. Replaced an old Microsoft non mechanical keyboard.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Developer Keyboard

Pros: Great tactile feedback
Fantastic key feel
USB hub!
Headphone and mic jacks
Defaults the function keys as function keys
Standard layout, no goofy key placement
Multi-media functions available

Cons: Nothing major, only a tiny nitpicks:Needs an (included) adapter to hook up as USB (Default is PS/2)

Overall Review: This was the first mechanical keyboard that I ever purchased. I loved it, and have purchased 3 more for various computers. Honestly, I didn't realize the gem that I had until I recently tried a few other mechanical keyboards. As I use the others, I daydream about the near-perfect key feel on this keyboard. When I'm using these, I am consistently impressed with how much faster and more accurate that I can type with these Cherry Browns that with other key switches. They improve my typing almost "magically"

If you use multiple computers throughout your week, you owe it to yourself to replace all your keyboards with this gem. You'll thank me.

The low price, the ultra-convenient USB hub and audio jacks, and media control keys really seal the deal. No other keyboard has all of those.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent keyboard

Pros: Great keyboard at a reasonable price. Good quality key caps, switches all work perfectly, smart layout (function key on the right side so you don't hit it accidentally when reaching for ctrl or winkey).

Cons: It's pretty loud, but if you've done your homework on mechanical keyboards, you know that cherry mx blue switches are loud due to their design. See "other thoughts" for a recommendation on how to use this in a shared environment without distracting others.

Overall Review: I use this keyboard in a work environment, and I type at 120-130 wpm. People who had not previously commented on my typing speed started giving me "compliments" about it. I interpreted this to mean that my keyboard was distracting even if my coworkers insist otherwise.

I tried out keyboards with other switch types and didn't find any I liked, so I purchased some red rubber o-rings from wasdkeyboards.com to dampen the sound. These rings take away probably 50-75% of the sound (since the keys bottoming out is the loudest part), but they still feel great and have a satisfying click. I would highly recommend the combination of this keyboard and these rings for anyone in a work or home environment.

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING

Pros: My first time using any mechanical keyboard, this feels so great. The keys feel perfect and the aesthetic is extremely nice and clean. I was slightly worried going with a brand that wasn't Logitech or Cooler Master or Razer but this far surpassed my expectations.

Cons: It's loud I suppose, but the noise is very easy to get used to.

5 out of 5 eggsWow!

Pros: Really nice feel and holds up well. Even survived a soup incident.

Cons: Wish it were a bit thinner, but its not like its thickness is a problem. Just a solidly built keyboard

4 out of 5 eggsdefects

Pros: keys are top notch blues. Standard Layout. VERY sturdy The cord is thick and rugged, the chassis of the kb takes the "twist test" very well.

Cons: they shouldn't even have attempted legs on this thing. They are just plastic tabs with slits for bending to snap in the sockets. Feet broke within a few weeks. the headphone 1.8" 'green' jack only works in mono probably from the cheap jack construction. So dont even bother with it, but the headphone jack works fine.

Overall Review: You can buy a couple rubber feet at the hardware store. I have a feeling this beast will be with me for quite a while.

5 out of 5 eggsThe greatest keyboard in the world!!!!

Pros: This keyboard is so great. its clickey and responsive and its very heavy.the keys are great and are very easy to push.

Cons: The only con about this keyboard is that the feet are very flimsy and it feels like i am about to break them and the rubber pads on the bottom are not very big so they dont keep the board from sliding around.

Overall Review: the keyboard is very sturdy and i love the blue light they match my color scheme.

5 out of 5 eggsWonderful Keyboard

Pros: Over the years i have gone though many keyboards and this is truly the first one that has really impressed me, not only with functionality but versatility as well. The keys are MX Blue, may not be as good for gaming but they will serve well and give your fingers a rest from slamming membrane switches. most of the time i bought el-cheapo keyboards form various venders and hated almost every single one. i've tried expensive so called gaming keyboards that have truly disappointed me. this is the first keyboard in a long time that has actually been nice to own and game with. This would be considered an entry level keyboard for its price range. At first you wont notice much difference but after a while you wont be able to stand using membrane keyboards. the pressure needed to actuate these mech keys is about 5 time less and your finger tips will love you for them.

Cons: I did not buy it form newegg. i will say that the rear feet are a bit cheap and do snap out easily but just go to you local computer shop and buy some stick on soft rubber feet and you will solve that issue. other than that it is a good sturdy keyboard that will serve many years with out issue, and is still a decent price to work with.

Overall Review: the audio ports and usb ports are nice to have but i seldom use them. The board does weigh about 3.5 lbs and for the most part does not move. some people say they don't like the tickey sound of the old mechanical but i find it quite soothing, alot like a white noise generator. This is a great all around keyboard and have introduced it to all of my friends and they defiantly like the fell and weight. If at all possible Use one the PS2 port to utilize true n-key rollover. you will also find typing up school papers is alot easier than on membrane keys and you fingers wont be tired after the paper is done. Even if you are a slow typer you will notice a definite improvement in your speed. the other nice thing is that the windows keys are small and not easily hit, especially during heavy gaming.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price...

Pros: Feels good. Pretty sound. Just an enjoyable keyboard.

Cons: Bulky! Too bulky. the keys sit a good 1.5" off the desk. Keys have too much play...but it isn't too bad. I just happen to care about play a lot.

Overall Review: Good board. I'm sure someone makes a better one for twice the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat. As good as Das Keyboard

Pros: USB Hub functionality (separate from PS2 connector so you can have the PS2 n-key rollover and your hub as well). Nice clicky cherry MX blue switches. Analog audio ports on top are very nice and just connect straight through. Keyboard caps have a nice grainy feel.

Cons: None, but if I could ask for something it would be an analog audio volume knob on the keyboard. That would just be sexy.

Overall Review: Fantastic keyboard. I came from using Das Keyboard so I had high expectations. The USB hub works much better than Das Keyboard in Windows (though I've used both in Linux with no problems at all ever). I still love Das Keyboard-- mine just had worn smooth keycaps so I thought I'd try something new.

4 out of 5 eggsADESSO 135B

Pros: Decent price, and the type of quality you would want and expect out of a keyboard like this. Feels fairly solid, including legs for propping up the keyboard.

Cons: On my keyboard, the arrow keys are not right. It came with two down arrows, one being placed into the left arrow slot. This is an somewhat trivial but disappointing mistake.

Pros: very nice to type on.
cheapest mechanical keyboard with true N key rollover.
usb, headphone, and mic ports on the keyboard.

Cons: media hotkeys are not automatically handled. I had to assign them manually for the OS/program I am using.
ps2 to usb converter is not included [usb does not support N-key rollover]

Overall Review: louder that most keyboards but this is a mechanical keyboard.
membrane keyboards feel mushy now.
some of the keys weren't level, but pushing them down hard fixed that.
blue led indicator is bright

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing keyboard

Pros: Well-built. Works seamlessly. Priced reasonably. Great for typing/coding. The rate of typos I make went down quite a bit.

Cons: None so far.

2 out of 5 eggsalmost.

Pros: Good Quality build and good price for what it claims to be.

Cons: Very heavy key switches with metallic ring when a key press bottoms out.
Not a pleasant typing experience. I wish it was.
The PS/2 to USB adapter that i received did not work.

Overall Review: Not ideal for most modern motherboards, though i would like to see the PS/2 port on any new MB.

Using for a few months now and i am convinced the specs are not correct. I searched for a few weeks on this product , the most reputable sites all say the MKB 135B uses CherryMX Blue key switches. I do not think that is correct, this feels like it could be 90cN...

5 out of 5 eggsA Gamer's Review

Pros: 1. Keyboard noise- when typing it makes an almost therapeutic clicking noise. Of course it is very audible and can be a con if it disturbs others.

2. Response time- I upgraded from a PS/2 connection keyboard to this. While insanely out of date, this keyboards reaction times in FPS games are impeccable.

3. Typing- Keys feel firm and have a nice rebound effect when typing.

4. Sturdy- Keyboard is very heavy and feels incredibly well made. In a previous review, the reviewer mentions that the two stands on the back are flimsy. Adesso has either upgraded the stands or I have a different understanding of the word "sturdy", because I have no complaints with the stands whatsoever. Nothing could break these stands other that a solid impact from misuse or intention.

Cons: The only con is the sound of the keys while typing. This should only be a problem if you work or game around others.

Overall Review: Feel very happy with this purchase. I will buy other Adesso products in the future.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent

Pros: Excellent quality, feel.
Sturdy.

Cons: None to speak of.

Overall Review: This is an excellent keyboard. A friend of mine bought a more familiar name brand at the same time, and this is a better quality keyboard. It's awesome to type on, and ruins normal membrane keyboards.

It is a bit heavy, but it isn't as though you're going to be playing catch with it, so that shouldn't be a con.

5 out of 5 eggsBang for the $$$

Pros: True N Key, 2 usb ports as well as mic and audio that face the rear and not the side. No cheesy leds. Perfect height and the keys feel amazing. Tactile feel you would expect from mx blues. I was looking for a mechanical keyboard that would be the most similar to my friends das ultimate which I fell in love with after typing/gaming on. Love the cherry blues and the sound they make. Most ppl think its silly to spend so much on a mechanical keyboard but once you've typed on one for an extensive period the feel and experience compared to standard membrane boards is day and night. I did a lot of research on this keyboard and this truly is a gem for the price, nothing comes close to it in its price range.

Cons: None, I really can't think of any negatives with this keyboard. Extremely happy with my purchase.

Overall Review: I tried out my friends black widow ultimate as well before buying this and I can say with certainty that I enjoy typing on this more. Even he admitted that he liked the feel and height of my keyboard more. As far as comparing it to the das ultimate, its extremely similar. The quality doesn't seem to be any less, but I bought this keyboard for almost half the price ($67 on sale) compared to my friend who spent $130 on his das. I'm all about gaming and having the newest and nicest parts. I constantly upgrade to enhance my gaming experience and i must say this purchase was one of the most satisfying I've had in a long time. I've used this for almost 2 months now and I still get excited every time I get to type on it ^^. Anyone considering this keyboard should get it if they are questioning themselves, you won't regret it. Lastly, shout out to Destiny and his sc2 stream, he is the one who truly inspired me to buy a mechanical keyboard and to love the sound of MX blues.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat keyboard

Pros: This is a great keyboard for it's price, I really like the audio jacks for my headphones and it's VERY sturdy.

Cons: I've used it since November and the only problem I've had is the paint on the key caps are starting to fade on heavy use keys like crtl, C, R, etc.

Overall Review: For those who are having trouble with the media keys you have to hold shift and then hit the media key of choice. I don't know why they didn't mention this in manual so I had to email Adesso, where they actually got back to be pretty quickly.

5 out of 5 eggsVery good Mechanical Switch Keyboard for the price.

Pros: Mechanical key switches. USB hub and audio ports, though I don't use the audio ports myself. About the same size as my old Das Keyboard, not as slick but still well made. Comes with the ps/2 to usb dongle, though I had problems with using it. Overall it is a great keyboard for the price, especially one with Cherry BlueMX mechanical switches. Lets you type like the wind blows.

Cons: I enjoy it but some people dislike the loud typing. Some people might want to get a wrist support. Comes as ps/2 with an adapter to make it usb. Mine didn't work another brand adapter does. I'm using the ps/2 connection so doesn't matter for me but might wanna check it, just a simple cable.

Overall Review: Like a Das Keyboard but cheaper and not as fancy, but still nice with good features.
