Rating + 1 Avoid at all costs!

In the spirit of fairness I waited until everything was complete with this order before posting a review here and I still wish I could give zero eggs for both the seller and Newegg.

I ordered (3) U22715H monitors on Newegg that were being sold by DataVision on 3/11/16. Card was charged on 3/15/16 for whatever reason. Monitors were delivered on 3/18/16 which was consistent with the shipping policy.

When I picked up the monitors I noticed almost immediately that the model number on the box was wrong. I came home and checked to make sure that I didnt order the wrong monitor, I received (3) U2515H monitors. My Newegg order and items checked out. I sent the first message to DataVision on 3/18/16 asking about what we can do to resolve the issue. After browsing their reviews I was pretty disheartened.

Having not received a response by 3/21/16 I sent a message to Newegg and was greeted with a confirmation that said it would take 1-2 business days to respond. This was unacceptable. Instead I called DataVision directly and asked about the order. I was told that the listing was put up in error and there are no replacements and that I should return the monitors for a refund which should be processed 2-3 business days after receiving the RMA.

I sent the monitors back on 3/22/16 and on 3/23/16 I received a response from Newegg saying my RMA has been authorized. I replied to this email stating that the monitors have already shipped back and provided the tracking numbers as well as my frustration for the process and the order. I received another message saying thanks for the email, we'll get back to you in 1-2 business days.

Sure enough I received an email on 3/26/16 from someone else at Newegg that obviously didnt read the response I sent and asked me if I need more shipping labels. At this point I was done with Newegg support, zero help and response time is atrocious.

The monitors arrived on 3/24/16 and I still saw nothing in my account on 3/30/16 so I once again called DataVision. This time I was told that the procesing of a refund takes about 5 business days but that they would put it in that day for me. On 4/1/16 I got emails from Newegg stating my return status has been updated, then received, and finally approved and will be paid out in 3-5 business days. The refund finally posted on 4/5/16 to my account.

Take aways:

Its clear that this was a straight up Bait and Switch. This listing was live from when I ordered on 3/11 to about 3/16 and no emails were sent out from Newegg or the seller about the mixup. The monitors I ordered MSRP for $200 more than the ones I received. If I didnt notice the model number on the box and opened them I'm sure my recourse here would be even more limited.

If you need to call DataVision do so in the morning. They are pretty responsive at that time. In the afternoon you wont get through because I'm quite sure they have only one guy working support. He does a good job but hes still only one guy.

Newegg email support is pretty useless and it takes a while to get anything done if they understand your issue to begin with.

DataVision has some serious process and communication issues so unless you feel like borrowing them money for sending you the wrong items and waiting for the RMA to process then go ahead.

Funny enough, DataVision also sells on Amz and their reviews there are 97% positive (last 12 mo). To me this means that datavision cares more about Amz as a channel than it does about Newegg or that Amz holds DataVision accountable to a higher standard.

Amz typically has better pricing and even if they dont their customer service is a night and day difference over what I keep experiencing here at Newegg.

Amz is apparently a bad word for Newegg. Saw that a buyer below was offered a pricematch by Newegg, too bad this wasnt the case for me but way to go for that guy!

Sorry, Newegg, its been great but this was a super frustrating experience that required me to take care of everything and lend one of your sellers money for a month. This just simply isnt acceptable.

I've tried to keep this as objective as possible, I hope this helps someone avoid the situation I just went through.

Rating + 1 STAY AWAY!

If you're reading this review and still decide to purchase from DataVision you're a fool. Stay away from them no matter the price they offer.

Purchased a monitor and they sent the wrong one claiming it was Newegg's fault. Spoke to a manager (Mike S.) at DataVision who is either incompetent or just straight lied to me. Basically, third party providers (DataVision) are given their own portal to enter products and prices. DataVision obviously priced a 27" monitor the same as the 25" size (a great deal which was the reason I bought it). However, they sent the 25" and blamed Newegg for cross matching the 27" with the 25".

Newegg, to my surprise actually, offered to price match DataVision so I ended up returning the 25" and buying the 27" from Newegg. The next fun part was not receiving a return from DataVision, who claimed it was Newegg who would issue the return. Again, either an incompetent worker or another lie from DataVision. Newegg personally called them on my behalf to resolve the refund and it was issued a few days later.

As a bonus, the product arrived (from DataVision) in original packaging (opposed to an additional, bigger brown box) which was greatly damaged. I can only imagine what abuse the monitor took.

TL:DR - STAY AWAY!

Rating + 1 Terrible Seller! Why does NewEgg allow them to continue? I wish I could choose 0 eggs for a rating.

I ordered a Samsung EVO 850 and they printed a mailing label but never gave the package to USPS. A week later and it still hasn't gone anywhere. NewEgg contacted them on my behalf and they lied to NewEgg claiming there was a delay with the updating of the shipping information because of a holiday. Three days after that and there's still no change. The holiday has nothing to do with it. That's extremely dishonest of them. Why does NewEgg continue to allow a dishonest seller to continue to participate in their market place, causing headaches and negative experiences for long time customers?

If I had ordered from NewEgg directly instead of this terrible market place seller I would have had my order by now. I have to give NewEgg some blame here though because they promoted DataVision with one of those special offers where you have to click on a request to see a special price. I thought I was getting a good deal when in reality it was only a savings of $3 over NewEggs price. Even if my time was only worth minimum wage, I've spent far more than $3 worth of my time dealing with this sellers incompetence. And now I'm looking at getting a refund so I'll get nothing in return for all of this frustration.

Rating + 1 Will never buy from again.

I understand what 5-7 shipping days incur. However, to not get a tracking number from DataVision 24-48 hours after purchase is ridiculous.After 9 days, I literately had to call this (Newegg) vendor in New York to get my tracking number from them. They blamed Newegg and said it was Neweggs' responsibility to e-mail me a shipping number.... to which I say bulls**t! Have done buisness with Newegg since their inception, and hold them in the highest regard. Have never failed to receive a tracking number from Newegg or any of their vendors with the exception of DataVision. Yes , I e-mailed them.....twice, with no response from them whatsoever.I could have walked it here faster than their shipping. Still have not recieved my SSD. However, that is not my complaint.Technically they are within 5-7 buisness shipping days if it arrives when the Bozos said it would.NO TRACKING NUMBER IS UNFORGIVABLE.

Rating + 1 Newegg please stop doing business with this company

I placed a bulk order. most of my items were sold by Newegg except for a Samsung SSD. The Newegg stuff came two days later. My SSD? Lost in another dimension, it hasn't even shipped yet. Datavison wont respond to me. I LOVE you Newegg, you have never done me wrong, except now. Please review this company. my whole build is hinging on this part and now I'm stuck waiting. In the future I will just use my Prime account to order things being sold by the seperate companies on your site. When you get burned like this that is what happens.

Return Instruction
