Categories > Desktop PCs > iBUYPOWER > iBUYPOWER Gamer Power NE615FX Desktop PC AMD FX-Series FX-4100(3.6GHz) 8GB DDR3 1TB HDD Capacity AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB Windows 8

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Great so far! (Still - Updated)
Pros: For the price this computer really kicks tail. Compared to a 6yr+ old computer w/ XP, 1gb Ram, and a Nvidia 5200 it's like suddenly discovering warp drive. No problems so far; none of the other reviewer listed issues have popped up. No bloatware with some optional programs on provided discs from AMD. Windows 8 is a big leap from XP but most annoyances can be worked around till they become familiar. The top mounted arrangement of usb/power buttons/audio jacks is a nice change. The hardware seems quality built, tough, and ready for a little extra push (don't go crazy).
Cons: As others have said the PSU is weak. If I ever upgrade or expand anything I will have to upgrade the PSU unit. 300 watt power supply is the only part of this budget build that feels budget.

Some Windows 8 features (or removal of old standards) make no sense.

I don't know how necessary the fan(s) are, they do make (relatively) quite a bit of noise for a system that doesn't seem like it needs excess cooling (unless OC'ing...put a unused pillow square couch pillow against it when I want a quieter room.
Other Thoughts: Overclocked using the AMD VISION Control Center only about half what the simple sliders GUI allows, so far no problems but more speed. The graphics card isn't state of the art but it is great so far and with a weak power supply it is best suited for this system as it draws all the power it need straight from the motherboard slot it's seated in. The tower has PLENTY of room to upgrade ram and extra harddrives. If the graphics card is replaced (or anything else) get a better power supply.

When looking and deciding on an iBuyPower system I saw the occasional comment saying a piece of hardware was actually better than listed. On my second glance through of the system (the first hoping a better PSU was supplied) I noticed the RAM was actually DDR3 1600 (Super-Talent brand). Not saying to count on it but an iBuyPower system might come with a little extra oomph.

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Perfect computer for the price!
Pros: Cheap, works well, 2GB ram, 3.4Ghz Dual core CPU, Comes with Windows XP install disk, 3 SATA plugs on the motherboard, Floppy plug on motherboard, PSU has power connectors for extra SATA drive and Floppy drive.
Cons: One back plate missing but not a big deal, 80GB Hard Disk could be bigger, Windows XP is a bit outdated.
Other Thoughts: Installed Windows 7 with no problems and runs great.

Categories > Desktop PCs > DELL > DELL OptiPlex 755 No Screen Desktop PC Core 2 Quad Q6600(2.40GHz) 4GB 500GB HDD Capacity Windows 7 Home Premium

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Works fine
Pros: Great Price for a powerful Q6600 based system. Everything seems working OK so far. Clean windows load, no junkware. Small form factor fits in the tight space I had available.
Cons: Windows needed some updates. Case had some pretty deep scratches, I know its used, so I didn't knock off any stars.

Graphics driver had to be updated to work with HD monitor.
Other Thoughts: If you want a good bang for the buck, this deal is hard to beat.

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Warning
Pros: Couldn't say it won't finish the initial boot. Will update after I receive a functioning one.
Cons: Windows 8. BE CAREFUL with your initial startup boot. Buyers should be aware that if you interrupt the initial boot Windows 8 will get stuck on an endless restart loop. I do not recall purposefully interrupting the boot (i.e. turning it off and back on) but I can see how it's possible to accidentally push buttons or lose the power cord if you didn't seat it properly to begin with if you're not being careful as you set it up. The manufacturer suggests a hard drive wipe and OS reinstall but that did not work for me either. Due to the issues with the HD wipe, I do not believe my issues with the computer are the results of anything that I did or didn't do.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Newegg is the best
Pros: Great plug and play computer running windows 7, perfect for basic use and Internet. Strangely enough, the machine just beeped loudly at first start up and wouldn't start. A quick call to Dell and they told me there was likely a loose chip inside??? I started to stress but they actually walked me though opening up the box and sure enough, a memory chip wasn't locked in. 5 minutes later I was up and running. They said it's a common occurrence during shipping.
Cons: None

Other Thoughts: We purchased this machine for use in our office, and coupled with a 60GB SSD drive, it absolutely screams! Startup in ~8-10 seconds, shutdown in 5, program startup nearly immediate. Very satisfied.

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Thanks Very Much
Pros: Everything works great! This computer is totally awesome!! The whole system is fantastic!
Cons: There is two fans in it.. The problem is only one works... I don't know if it turns on when the computer is really hot because I've only had it for about a week now and haven't used it on excessive gaming yet. And when I play a game, the fan is very loud...
Other Thoughts: But, overall this computer was definitely worth it!

Thanks
