Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Great unit for the price!
Pros: -It boots really fast right out the box [I replaced the HDD with an SSD & it takes about one second to boot!]
-It isn't super thin, but it isn't too thick either, very portable for a 15.6" laptop
-The Price! A fourth generation i5 with more than 4gb of ram for under $600 is a great deal
-I surprised and pleased to see bluetooth in this unit
Cons: -The WiFi card is only wireless N, but a $30 replaced WiFi card brought me back up to speed with a wireless AC
Other Thoughts: All in all, if you need a slightly above-average all-purpose gaming laptop, this is great for the money

Pros: Relatively fast CPU and Video Card, for the price. Room to add SSD later.
Cons: Flimsy keyboard. Slow HD. But I expected this.
Other Thoughts: For $449. It is worth it.

Pros: Cheap price under $300
Cons: It is advertised that its operating system is Window 10. But, it came with Windows 7 professional.
No CD ROM Drive
Other Thoughts: For a simple purpose such as watching DVD connecting with TV, it is OK. But, I am not going to buy for my personal laptop.

Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1 Hardware Issues
Pros: The price was too good to pass up.
Decent specs for the price on a new laptop.
Cons: Laptop is flimsy compared to other similarly branded Lenovo laptops. I own a Lenovo Z50-70, and absolutely love it, and thought the G50 would be of similiar build quality. That was a big mistake. This Laptop has virtually no indicator lights for anything, including the NumPad or the CapsLock. The only way to find out if they are ON is to press a key... very different from other Lenovos. But also, the plastic used was just all around worse. The touchpad was bearable, but nothing like visually similar models. And possibly the most dangerous is their inclusion of the Atheros Qualcomm wireless adapter... I have had more problems troubleshooting Atheros Qualcomm than any other wireless since B-frequency was the industry gold-star.

Pros: Clean, light.
Cons: Returned it as it would upgrade Windows. Very slow, Explorer kept crashing, loaded Chrome, still wouldn't work.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Great Build Quality For $350
Pros: Has a pretty color accurate display, solid keyboard, solid mouse pad, with a solid design. All the software works flawless even know its on windows 10.
Cons: Wish it had a better wi-fi adapter that support 5ghz frequencies. It's not a true quad core like most i5s, it's a dual core with HT but preforms well.
Other Thoughts: I've always felt Asus products were a bit over-priced, but this laptop for $350 is nearly impossible to beat.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 I can't believe I got this amazing machine for the same price as an HP Stream
Pros: Extremely well built.
Fast as a laptop this small should be able to be.
Perfect keyboard.
Gorgeous design.
Cons: I bought this refurbished, so the extremely minor and hardly noticeable screen damage is to be expected.
Overall, amazing condition given the seven hundred some odd dollar savings.
Other Thoughts: I can't recommend this computer and this seller highly enough.

Pros: Incredible deal and has been working beautifully! Would highly recommend this product.
Cons: It gets warm, but most do now anyways. That's why cooling pads are made and can be purchased through the site.
Other Thoughts: Considering what I got for the price - this ones a "no brainer!"

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Totally functional Linux laptop
Pros: Everything works (Linux Mint 17.3) out of the box, Wifi, network, chipset, buttons, ATI opensource and proprietary drivers, webcam, sound (sound quality is good), hibernate and sleep modes. Performance is what you'd expect from a i5, graphics speed is ok but not astonishing. 10W wo/ati, 14W with, 16W fully engaged, barely gets warm. Physically nice looking, better than i expected.
Cons: Battery life needs core speed stepping and ATI shutdown, can probably get 5-6W if pushed. Battery is pretty small for the size.
Other Thoughts: Bought 2 for work, cannot beat the price. Delivery immediate.

Categories > Laptops / Notebooks > Lenovo > Lenovo Laptop T420 Intel Core i5 2.50 GHz 4 GB Memory 320 GB HDD 14.1" Windows 7 Professional 64-Bit

Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1 DOA - Dead on Arrival
Pros: Came with a single 4GB DIMM which would have made upgrading to 8GB easy. Overall the machine looked very clean except that there was heavy wear around the top corners where the rubberized paint had rubbed off.
Cons: The computer was dead on arrival. Would not start plugged in or after charging the battery several hours. Tried multiple chargers too. The inside of the machine had a fair amount of dust and it is clear the refurbisher did not do proper job cleaning. The sliding lock securing the optical drive was broken off and had not been replaced. The plastic bezel around the screen was also loose and improperly fitted. There was also a small crack in the plastic palmrest bezel.
Other Thoughts: This review is NOT a knock on the T420 which is the absolute last of the great Thinkpads but rather Plan-IT-ROI for doing such a poor job in doing the refurbishment and testing of the unit. I plan to buy another T420 but not from this refurbisher.

The model I recieved was a 4236-DJ6 and came with an original Lenovo charger. It had the standard 1366x768 screen and 6 cell battery. The optical drive was only a DVD-ROM, not DVD-RW as advertised by Newegg. It did have a webcam but no fingerprint reader as is expected of a used corporate computer.
