Pros: It works for older/not as "hardcore" games
Cons: Whenever I try to play a game (Planetside 2, Battlefront 2, etc.) it would shut down and say that a power surge was detected. I continue to get this, and have gotten really sick of this.

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Forgot something to tell Jason about.
Pros: .
Cons: .
Other Thoughts: Jason, I do have a demanding system. That's why after an hour of being on the computer, the power supply would overheat and shut my system off. It is only then that I realised that it was defective since my fan is pointed towards the ground. I had to turn it up, see the fan not working, run the game again and the power supply overheated again and shut my system off.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 long lasting PSU, shame it's discontinued
Pros: after 5 years, my PSU has given me no problems, aside from fitting the cables. This thing is a Kraken unleashed in my pc, and stillhandles an overclocked Vishera and 2 HD 7970's without heating much or making noise (or at least, no noise that can be heard over my GPU fans.)
Cons: not modular, discontinued on newegg.

Categories > Power Supplies > NZXT > NZXT HALE82 HALE82-850-M 850W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Certified 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Modular Power Supply

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Initial Thoughts
Pros: It seems to be working just fine. No problems so far.

-Stays cool
-Bronze Certified
-Inexpensive (even when its not on sale)
-850W
-Strong 12v Rail
-hasn't died yet
Cons: Can't think of any in particular. I've had absolutely no problems with this PSU. The only thing that kinda irked me was it was only semi-modular and not full modular. But since I knew this already its no big deal.
Other Thoughts: Even though I didn't use it, I thought the NZXT Dead on Arrival policy was pretty cool.

Categories > Power Supplies > Corsair > CORSAIR TX Series CMPSU-650TX 650W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS BRONZE Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Running strong since 2010
Pros: I bought this PSU to build my PC about 3 years ago. Since then, it appears they've re-designed the label on the side, but it's the same model as the one I bought. It's still running solid and seems to be perfectly reliable, although I haven't tested the voltages or anything.
Cons: I wish it was modular, but I didn't expect it to be. I finally got the cable management thing down, so it's not a huge deal.
Other Thoughts: Corsair is a good brand and I would buy from them again.

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 Great power supply, but short cables
Pros: we all know corsair makes quality products so I have confidence this supply and know they stand behind it. its quiet, i dont hear it at all. my other fans are louder.
Cons: cables are to short. I have mid tower, actually a smaller than avg case. cables barely reach my drives. i really wish the cables were longer to allow for better cable management.
