- Pros: Great price, can get either PS/2 or USB Cables for it.
- Cons: A little bit more confusing to tag the inputs compared to an older ATEN KVM I have but not too bad.

Super KVM
- Pros: IOGEAR's KVM switch installed in seconds and works flawlessly. Pay attention to label on the driver disk: Install the software BEFORE plugging in the USB connection. Switches easily between my laptop and desktop. Wonderfu!
- Cons: None

Well workmanship product
- Pros: Easy to install, easy to use. perform very well. It works for Logitech wireless (M705) Mouth with (k270) wireless Keyboard with a single unifying receiver.
- Cons: In my case, (Logitech wireless M705+K270+ 1 receiver), there is about 3-5 second delay when switching between computers using the remote switch. But no delay when using hotkey to do so. Don't know why.
- Other Thoughts: using four stroke hotkey sequence (scroll lock + scroll lock + K + RETURN) is a bit inconvenient and a bad idea. it should be designed to be simpler than this. For example, the old PS/2 VGA type product from iogear uses two stroke only (scroll clok +scroll lock)

Worked greast for 2 and a half month!
- Pros: Worked great for two and a half month
- Cons: Suddenly the screen comes up for a second then goes black. This happens on all three computers: 2 desktop and one laptop. Disconnected everything. Reconnected. Same thing. Rebooted computers. Same thing.
This is a very bad product. I know it's under warranty but still...
- Other Thoughts: I used to like Rosewill products, buy them and recomme4nd them to my customers. The last couple of products I got from them was so-so quality. This is VERY bad. Bye-bye Rosewill.

StarTech SV1107IPEXT 1-Port Server Remote Control KVM over IP w/Virtual Media

Easy to use, and mouse is fine if you know how
- Pros: Easy to use. Cost-effective. Does what it is supposed to (gives you remote access to your keyboard, video, and mouse, over TCP/IP). If you are in a situation where you can't be at the computer, and you need to do things that can't be done with Remote Desktop (e.g. stuff at the BIOS level), this unit is a real problem-solver.
- Cons: It needs JavaScript enabled for it to work, but it doesn't warn you if you haven't got JavaScript enabled in your browser. The GUI is not nice. There is no 'OK' button to apply the settings - instead there is an 'Apply' graphic (arrow) on the left hand side of the page, which does what you would expect an 'OK' button would do (apply and save your settings). Every time you change something, you need to click on 'Apply' for it to take effect.
- Other Thoughts: The mouse precision thing is OK once you know how. On your local computer (the computer running the StarTech client app), check in your mouse settings, Pointer Options section, to see that the option for 'enhance pointer precision' is NOT ticked. On your remote computer (the computer that the StarTech is plugged into), check in your mouse settings, Pointer Options section, to see that the option for 'enhance pointer precision' is NOT ticked. Remember that this setting is per logged-on user, not per computer, so if you have set it for your login 'Alice', that won't apply if you are logged in as 'Beth'. If you have made changes to the mouse pointer precision settings etc, you may need to re-start the StarTech Windows client for the pointer alignment to come good. Note that the pointer alignment may well be poor until you log on - they all do that Sir. i.e. on the Ctrl+Alt+Del screen, and where you enter your logon password, the pointer alignment may be off, but it should come good once you have logged on.

It works!
- Pros: Price
Compatible with the Belkin KVM cable sets I already had. - Cons: Did not see a way to chain together multiple units. Hot-key switching a little weird.

Great
- Pros: I've used these at workstations around my store for over a year now without indecent. I've yet to have compatibility problems with any system I've connected it to, regardless of operating system. These switches do their job, day in, day out without fail and come highly recommended by me.
- Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: While a lot of video cards are moving on to different connector standards, I still find that, with the proper adapters, you can connect just about anything to D-Sub. I have tried HDMI and DVI switch solutions only to find myself banging my head when I get an older unit in. For the time being I don't see the sense in spending money on the more upscale connector sets.

Hard to reasonably expect anything better for this price...
- Pros: Works with USB. Also switches sound. Compact. Self-Contained.
- Cons: There is a rare occasion where this unit may fail to load the drivers necessary for it to run. I ommitted no stars for this as I feel fairly confident that the problem exists in updated Windows installations as opposed to a fault within the device. On these occasions, I keep a second "PS2" keyboard and mouse around to use on the affected PC until I get it updated.
- Other Thoughts: I had purchased many KVM devices trying to save a buck before purchasing this one. Several of them never worked from day 1. This one has worked far beyond my original expectations and has done so now for over 5 years. I only have one workbench and keep this unit in operation 24/7. Please IOGEAR, if you decide to discontinue this product let us know! I will need to purchase at least a couple of spares!

Lasted 23 months
- Pros: Quickly switches, has ports for Monitor/mouse/keyboard/spkrs/mic
Has physical switch, or use scr-lck twice on the keyboard to toggle to the other system. - Cons: Only lasted 23 months
- Other Thoughts: I thought it was only a year old, but I checked my order history and I bought it almost two years ago, so I can't be too irritated that it failed. I had been using it hard in recent days, and it started to go flaky for about a week before giving up completely. The power light does not even come on now. Still, the price was right when I bought it and I may just buy another.
