Pros: - Very east set-up - Small physical footprint - Small power footprint - Easy to administer and update
Cons: - None (- Advisory: device runs pretty warm to the touch. Could be a product improvement item for a future hw rev.)
Other Thoughts: I purchased the UniFi CloudKey to replace a dedicated Linux notebook I was running solely to host the UniFi Controller. I wanted smaller power consumption and less room to be dedicated to this function. The CloudKey offers exactly that. It's a firmware driven server on a stick, as I thought when I researched it. Mine is sitting in a small wiring closet connected to a switch. I am extremely pleased with the quality and pace of innovation by Ubiquiti Networks. I continue to invest in their products for my home prosumer use. Reminder: you'll need to plug the CloudKey into a compliant POE switch or power it with a POE injector or with a micro USB power source. I purchased the TP Link POE injector for this.

Pros: Good quality, Compact, Two different mounting bases (corner, flat), Infrared. Good free NVR solution from the manufacturer that can be used on any PC (not MAC), (No recording,Record on Motion, Record always, Scheduled record on motion, Scheduled record always),
Cons: Setup is not extremely clear. Need to have the Ubiquity NVR installed on a PC then use a mobile device and the Unifi Video app to connect to NVR. Select Add New Camera. Switch WiFi connection in mobile device to the ad-hoc WiFi hosted by the UVC-Micro. Switch back to the mobile app and finish configuring the UVC-Micro to connect to home/office WiFi SSID.
Current NVR solution only supports Google Chrome on desktop/laptop.
Other Thoughts: There is a noticeable click noise when the infrared LEDs turn on and off.
