Pros: In general it's easier to use than a regular old-fashioned microscope, but needs a steady hand. This difficulty is offset by the ability to take "snapshots" and save them to the computer's storage device(s) Is treated as a web-cam by the Windows 7 software. The lights around the lens are quite good at providing light for the object being observed.
Cons: Not much to complain about at this price level. However, keeping it focused and on the subject is a little tricky by hand. Some kind of "stand" to hold the microscope would be useful.
Other Thoughts: Works very well. This would make a great gift for a grade school child and is interesting for anyone. You can think of it like a super-macro camera lens that gets in many times closer than any normal digital camera.

Other Thoughts: After using the binoculars for two months the left side would no longer focus. The lens away from eye floated in and out with gravity. I asked for a RMA for return and repair. The reply was that it would be an inconvenience to repair the binoculars. No RMA number was given. So the warranty should say that these binoculars are so cheap that you can just purchase a new pair at your expense when they fail.

Pros: Cheap (got my pair for $37), nice case to go with it, comfortable, small, works (see cons).
Cons: When adjusting the zoom, the focus of each ocular changes separately, so once you have both in focus and change the magnification, you have to adjust the coarse focus to get one eye piece in focus, then adjust the fine focus of the eye piece not in focus - quite a big pain. The second thing is that when you approach the upper end of magnification, a blurry black region appears on the bottom of the field of view - doesn't obstruct much view, just more annoying than anything.
Other Thoughts: It could be worse, but it accomplishes the essential function of a pair of binoculars for a good price. Beyond that, simplicity of use should be priority, which seems to be lacking in this product. I suppose if you're not going to be changing the magnification, it's a great little pair (4-star). I might have a faulty pair.

Cons: Focus mechanism is not as smooth as they lead you to believe
Other Thoughts: Optics are very good for the price. The surfaces have a rubber like feel that makes it easy to hang on to even with one hand. I can't comment on the anti fog claims since I haven't had them in conditions that would cause that. I only use them a few times of the year, and therefore found these are a good alternative to laying out 700 bones for a comparable pair from a high end manufacturer. These are far better than the pair they replaced, a zoom style (which by the nature of construction of the zoom are limited in their optical quality) from Minolta.
