Expensive!
- Pros: Updated on a regular basis. Makes much more money for Adobe's shareholders.
- Cons: Stop paying and you can't open your PSD images. At the mercy of Adobe price increases. About twice the cost of purchasing the upgrade every 24 months as released.
- Other Thoughts: With negative comments from 90+% of the readers on a wide variety of photography and art forums this has got to be one of the poorest thought out "improvements" from Adobe. Looks like they have run out of significant ideas to attract people so will trap them with monthly payments rather than innovating and providing an incentive to upgrade.

Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 4 for Windows & Mac - Full Version - Download
Much better than Aperture
- Pros: I've tried Aperture and Lightroom and Lightroom is the winner to me. Lightroom imports RAW files much faster and the editing capabilities are better.
- Cons: The Mac download provided by Newegg does not work. When trying to install Mac OS 10.8.2 gives an error stating "The app's authorization has been revoked. Although this app was signed by an identified developer, the certificate for the app has been revoked. There may be a problem with it. The app cannot be opened.
You should check with the Mac App Store to see if there is an updated version of this app, or check with the software developer."
I went to Adobe's site, downloaded the trial of LR4 and used the license key provided with my purchase. Works great!

Inconsistent support
- Pros: Plays half of blu-ray titles.
- Cons: Doesn't play the other half.
It's rarely updated and obviously out of sync with the industry.
- Other Thoughts: Of course the competition doesn't do any better, also the publishers don't have anymore the excuse of a technology in its infancy. You may want to consider bypass the blu-ray alltogether and look for on-line HD content.

Competent Audio File Converter
- Pros: Software offers substantial flexibility in converting audio files between various formats. Just about every file I have heard of is supported.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I convert downloaded audio files to 128K MP3 files. Heck I am 50 years old, and do not need the highest end sound anymore. I have noticed that these files are a bit larger than some other converters I have tried. This could be because I am using a high quality setting.

Does a very good job.
- Pros: The interface is very nice. Plays Blu Rays perfectly. Couldn't ask for anything more in the software, actually. It does a better job playing Blu Rays than my PS3, the sound and video are noticeably better.
- Cons: Software is still expensive. I suppose it's part of the tax for keeping it updated with the latest security "features", though.

Redemption for my Blu-ray drive
- Pros: Integrates with Vista Media Center. Plays Blu-ray smoothly without the constant jitter. Up-converts standard dvds.
- Cons: No big ones so far. Had to play around with the Audio a bit to get it to play through my receiver but that was just finding the settings.
- Other Thoughts: This saved my Blu-ray drive from being merely an overprice DVD-ROM drive. The free Cyberlink software that came with it never worked right and after one update it stopped working altogether. You would think Cyberlink want to give you something that would work a little so you would have some reason to think their premium software was worth the money. I still think VLC player and MPC do a better job of Up-conversion but integrating into Media Center makes up for that since my wife is now willing to use the PC to play DVDs.

Best out ther at the moment
- Pros: Integrates into WMC
Plays HD-DVD, Blu-ray and ISO's of either (with the proper em)
Running fine on Vista 32, Vista 64 and Win7 64. - Cons: Takes over ALL DVD playing though I would prefer to play standard DVD in WMC
- Other Thoughts: Although it does assume the sole disc playing role in WMC, which can be worked around, TMT3's HDVision does make standard DVD's look great so the trade off is fair.
If you don't have sound on Blu-ray, it's because you don't have proper decoding setup. During playback, right click, go to setup,/audio and select "downmix" the current update allows the option to permanently select downmix from original. Until you have DTS Master audio and Dolby True HD, straight through with HDMI to a processor that can decode these new formats, that's what you have to do.
I've got this running on 2 HTPC's and a laptop.
I have to believe the majority of people having issues are not using proper settings.

Works well, yet to have any major problem
- Pros: Integrates well with Windows Media Center.
I don't understand people complaining about it not working on their particular machine or configuration, when you can try before you buy! I'm running Windows 7/64-bit/nVidia without any problems. - Cons: Disables Aero, and sometimes a process continues running after playback, which I've had to kill in order to get Aero back.
- Other Thoughts: "Somepin" is happenin' here but you don't know what it is, do you, Mr. nobrainer Jones? :)

Works Great
- Pros: Plays BluRay discs just fine. Integrates into Windows Media Center pretty good. Works well in conjunction with WMC, and MyMovies. Great price here at Newegg.
- Cons: Don't really have anything bad to say.
- Other Thoughts: I'm using this on a HTPC. My server is hosting all my video and movie backups. I'm using the MyMovies plugin for Windows Home Server, and the MyMovies client on the HTPC. BluRay movies appear in the MyMovies list in WMC, and when you play a BluRay hosted on the server, WMC automatically closes and Arcsoft TMT3 automatically starts and plays the movie. When I hit the back button on my remote, it automatically switches back to WMC when the movie is done. I can't ask for much more than this.

Too many problems
- Pros: None... it just wasted my time.
- Cons: Too many problems - lockups, rebooting, sound problems... to much of a hassle. When I paused, fast forwarded, or did anything to interrupt playback on the last Blu-ray DVD I watched, the sound would get completely messed up and no longer work until I went back to the disc menu. That was the last draw. I'm getting a real Blu-ray player.
- Other Thoughts: Using Windows 7 x64 with an ATI 5450 card and latest ATI drivers.
