GoW:J Review
- Pros: -Its a Gears of War game
-The story was pretty decent
-Multiplayer while different, is pretty awesome
-OVERRUN!
-Shipping was four days after release, but got it in two!!!\
-$40 for the game was actually a great deal!
-Overall I would make the game a must buy for Gears fans, others can either leave or take.
-4.25 out of 5 - Cons: -No Marcus or Dom :(
-Multiplayer can sometimes be really unfair.
-Unless you have the money for DLC there are only 4 multiplayer maps, four overrun maps, and only two survival maps.

A Solid Entry to the Gears of War Franchise
- Pros: It's important to take Judgment for what it is: a spinoff of a AAA franchise. It carries all the signature GoW traits but works in a few fun additions/changes to keep things fresh. The Declassify and Overrun variants are two very welcomed firsts, one being a challenge mode for campaign, the other a longer multiplayer engagement that acts more like Battlefield 3's Rush gametype. Graphics are best in series and the soundtrack is awesome. Story delivery is a cool twist.
- Cons: Early on there are times this feels like downloadable content to GoW3 (which it originally was going to be) but it's not a feeling I got after the first hour or so of playing.
- Other Thoughts: I don't understand some people's deep negative criticism. This is a fun and creative change of pace for Gears, which needs something new if it is to survive the coming years. If you love Gears, Judgment is a no brainer purchase.

- Pros: Bought for wife, which is a Fable freak, but I've played it more then her. Seems fun, even with tired arms afterwards.
- Cons: Wish it was on sale, but I'm sure it will be now.

Great game, but missing something
- Pros: Beautiful graphics. The game is such an amazing visual experience
Voice acting for Lara. Every grunt and groan as she experiences pure hell sounds horrifying (in the way they intended)
Camera. It's been said before that the camera is rarely, if ever, a problem in this game. - Cons: Story - It's a pretty generic story. With every form of media having some sort of swerve, the one that occurred in this game was fully expected by myself and my roommates, and fell flat when it happened.
"Linear" gameplay. The story itself allows you time to explore, but the game itself was incredibly linear, rarely deviating from a fixed path. Maybe it's because I was spoiled by Mass Effect 1 and 2, the fact that nothing you do in the game changes the aspect of the story, it devalues the game to limited replayability. Once you've beaten the game once, there's not much else to do.
Multiplayer - I've had limited experiences with it, but from what I experienced, I'm not a fan. It was your generic multiplayer mode that is done better in other games (namely sandbox games like Red Dead Redemption, Saints Row 2, or Grand Theft Auto 4).
The side tombs were embarrassingly simple. Most of them you could figure out as you're approaching.
- Other Thoughts: It's a great game, certainly worth a weekend rental to experience. The amount of polish is great. The game was fun while it lasted. I felt for Lara as she went through hell and back to survive. Not a bad game, I just hope they expand the sequels in the future with branching story paths, more cerebral tombs, or something to up the lack of replay value.

GoW Let down
- Pros: It's a Gear's game kinda?
- Cons: Series has changed too much to feel like a call of duty game. Customer service for the game still sucks, losing all your stats or getting hacked doesn't matter to them. 60 hours of stats gone, and that's that.

120 Hours and Still Fun
- Pros: There is an unbelievable amount of stuff to do in this game. yes you could spend 200 hours but you probably can cruise through the main quest in 30. But then you'd lose all the extra neat stuff.
One/two main quests, five faction quests (with a several quests for each faction), and then I have no idea how many (at least a hundred) side quests and tasks.
The weapon variety is very pleasing and feels great. Natural combat customized with each weapon and as you level up, the weapons are used differently.
You can build your own weapons, armor, potions, crystals, etc.
There are 10ish skills with 10 levels in each. There are tons of extra achievements to get.
Oh and the storyline is pretty freaking awesome. And the world blows my mind it's so big. - Cons: About 30% of the quests are the same concept. "Go here, find this" "Gather these", "Kill this bad guy". Reminds me of the first Assassins Creed. Lots you can do but it starts to look the same once you get the pattern.
The graphics are good but they have to cut down draw distance for some of the items so your system doesn't bog down. Occasionally the game lags when doing something epic.
- Other Thoughts: Use the awesome wiki's out there. Yes, it may be cheating but it makes my 120 hours feel more productive than stumbling through.
