A bit late.
- Pros: Works.
- Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: I know this review is a bit late but I hope it helps people doing research for possible upgrades to old computers. I bought this processor because I had a bad T7500 in a Dell Inspiron 1720 laptop. The processor was overheating tremendously even after re-flowing the cooling system and I was debating junking the laptop. I saw this CPU on Newegg and figured it wouldn't hurt to try. I received it, installed it, and the laptop now runs much cooler and surprisingly with no performance drop from the faster model it replaced. It's been running steady since October 2012 and continues to work flawlessly.

Careful - check immediately
- Pros: Cheap
- Cons: Chip I received was bad - did not work.
- Other Thoughts: I opened up my old Mac Mini to take out the Core Duo and drop in this chip. I was all ready when I noticed that the chip Newegg sent had bent pins in one corner.
Not a good sign - and I should have checked as soon as I got it.
I put the new chip in, after carefully straightening the bent pins, with new thermal paste, etc. - the mini did not boot. I replaced the "new" chip with the old and everything worked.
This suggests to me that it was not my handling - the chip Newegg sent was a bad one.

Lenovo Upgrade
- Pros: Quick . Made a world of difference compared to the Celeron 900 . Really cheap for a fast enough to do whatever dual core chip.
- Cons: None really , Could do with a bit more L2 cache . But this chip hums . Munches everything I throw at it .
- Other Thoughts: There are so many Core Processors . LOL . But they are all relatively fast from Conroe on up . So it's a perfect upgrade to make an older machine scream . I upgraded a Lenovo g550 2958 with this chip . 2958cfu . I have bios 18CN46WW(V2.55) some g550 2958 laptops have 18CN44WW . I don't know why . I can't even find this laptop on the Lenovo support site . It came from Office Depot . I know this laptop was made in may of 2010 and came with the gl40 chipset and the celeron 900 with 250gb had drive and 2gb ram . But if you are thinking of upgrading a Lenovo g550 in 2958 trim make sure you have the 46 bios . I'm not sure what chips the 44 bios supports . Just a heads up .

Replaced a Lenovo N200 T5250
- Pros: Works very well. No overheating. Had this in for 6 months and no problems.
- Cons: In response to some others.....This swap doesn't require a "complete disassembly of the laptop". On the Lenovo just pull the battery, Thermal mod cover, Fan, and the thermal mod. It would be better to have some experience replacing CPU's.

Works just fine!!
- Pros: Works as it should, easily installed in my Dell Inspiron 1545.
- Cons: None right now
- Other Thoughts: Installed really easily into my laptop. Hardest part was taking the back cover off, the rest of the install was really easy. Just a few screws and done.
