Logitech 939-000346 Logitech cooling pad n200

Really helped my poor little Dell D830 chug along
- Pros: I love it. Cools the laptop down nicely and had adjustable fan speed.
Props the laptop at an angle which makes typing pleasurable.
USB powered - Cons: None
- Other Thoughts: I use this in my home office in a desk, so I can't speak for having it on my lap.
My home office is upstairs to I used to run into issues in the summer time with heat (Dell D830 will generate plenty of it) which would slow down my work productivity. I use this pad on the lowest setting and it alleviates that problem completely. At the price point it was a very smart buy. I would definitely buy again if this one failed after having it about a year.

SanDisk >
SanDisk SDDR-289-A20 Sd imagemate usb reader/writer

Bad Design - Fragile Pins - Broken After 4 months
- Pros: USB 3.0, small, Sandisk brand name
Bought this card reader elsewhere before Newegg had this reader listed. It was one of first few USB 3.0 CF card readers around. - Cons: It has a very shallow CF card slot (~0.5") which is a very bad design. When inserting a CF card to this reader one is never sure if the card is straight or not.
- Other Thoughts: After coming back from a recent Spain Trip, I was excited to load photos into the computer for processing. It loaded 3 CF cards and on the 4th one, the LED just blinks and nothing was happening. On the close inspection, I saw one of pins on the edge was completely bent. It was purchased in August 2012. Being careful I always insert the CF cards slowly but it did not help with the design of this card reader. The SD cards can be read fine as there are no pins to be bent.
I own 4 SanDisk CF and multicard USB 2.0 readers and none have ever had bent CF pins. Comparing this new USB 3.0 multi-reader with the old USB 2.0 SanDisk readers, one can see the difference right away. This new one has much shorter slot depth and the fitting is quite loose so the CF card has a tendency to wobble and causes bent pins. The CF slot depth is about 1" with previous SanDisk card readers and only 1/2" on this one. No wonder the CF card can jam the pins so easy. This is a horrible design! I would never buy any CF card reader in the future without sufficient (~1") slot depth.
I am disappointed in the design of this SanDisk card reader. I bought this SanDisk reader because all 4 previous SanDisk CF or multicard readers have no bent pins ever with frequent use. I guess I have to look at the design of future purchases of SanDisk cards more carefully before keeping it.
I am going to contact SanDisk for a replacement. In the meantime, I ordered two replacement readers, Kingston's USB 3.0 Media Reader Computer Memory FCR-HS3 and PixelFlash USB 3.0 No-Bend Pins Compact Flash Memory Card Reader SuperSpeed CF Adapter. Both appear to have a deeper slot so the CF card should position itself correctly.
Not only the card reader is broken with bent pins, it also corrupted the entire CF card. Luckily, the card is a Transcend 400X 32GB CF card, the free Transcend RecoveRx tool worked great and recovered all images. It appears SanDisk does not even offer such free tool and directs the user to another vendor's site to purchase it.

BELL Power Strip And USB Power Port, 3 Outlet

Sort of works
- Pros: Lets you power additional low power devices
The USB port on the top of the plug is strong enough to power phones and anything else that might be in your car. - Cons: Adhesive pad will only stick to smooth surfaces; if you have a textured car inside it will not stay attached.
The power strip does not provide enough power for phones to think they are charging, however it is enough for cameras and GPS.
- Other Thoughts: Physical quality is medium. It doesn't look or feel like it will fall apart any time soon. Not made with expensive materials though.

Logitech 939-000346 Logitech cooling pad n200

Decent Pad
- Pros: Does it's job. And well.
Cushion bottom, good for the desk or your lap.
It only offers two fan speeds (low and high), but you probably wouldn't need more than that anyway.
Heightens my laptop, which is good for me but could be a problem for others (see cons)
Lasted me nearly a year with no problems. - Cons: Height is nonadjustable. Not a problem for me, but can be for others with larger laptops.
Fan isnt placed in the center of the pad, but on the top. Kind of awkward, but it works...
Personal preference, the pad is shaped kind of awkwardly.
- Other Thoughts: Most everything that Logitech produces are quality products. the n200 cooling pad is such. Although I only gave this pad 3 eggs, dont be fooled: Its actually a quality product. Just be careful when you buy it because you may be turned off by the fixed height and weird shape.
Its not "perfect", but these types of things can only get so good, amiright?

Perfect Install
- Pros: Fit my Pioneer Double-Din Head Unit like a glove. I had a sloppy cheap install kit that was very loose fitting and this made it nice and snug.
- Cons: none so far

Looked Promising
- Pros: Awsome concept, looks nice.
- Cons: Dead on arrival.
- Other Thoughts: Purchased from A mazon, so beware it may not work. Which is a shame because this is exactly what I needed. Ironic, I payed $20 for a cheap one from K-Mart which did not work, so I figured spend the extra $ and get a quality one. Fooled me.

- Cons: WARNING This unit DOES NOT included BT module/functionality. NewEgg is not the seller. You will have to deal with Grom for returns.
