Tripp Lite Model P034-010 10 ft. IEC-320-C19 to NEMA 5-15P 14AWG Heavy Duty Power Cable
The results are in
- Pros: My colleagues and I have put the Model P034-010 through extensive testing. Our initial findings have revealed that the Model P034-010 (hereby referred to as Object A) contains a rubber insulator around some sort of conductive insulator.
We have obtained Object A in hopes of supplying electrical current to a power supply (referred to as Object B) purchased elsewhere by way of a connection to the electrical infrastructure in the surrounding area. Initial trials of asking nicely proved ineffective.
Upon obtaining Object A, trials were modified to include inserting one end of Object A into the matching receptacle on Object B and the opposing end of Object A into the receptacle in a standard powered wall outlet.
Extensive testing has proven that Object A is adequate for carrying current from the standard powered wall outlet to Object B. - Cons: About what you'd expect from a cable such as this - kind of heavy, hard to bend.

Complete junk
- Pros: It arrived the next day...which is what I paid for.
- Cons: Not to specifications. The female end was not even close to mating up to the male end of the power cable it was supposed to attach to (the cable of a new Dell UPS 2700).
- Other Thoughts: I wasted a small chunk of $$ for overnight shipping for two of these pieces of junk. Thanks Tripp Lite...

Manufacturer Response:I’m sorry that you are not satisfied with your purchase. After reviewing the Dell UPS product page, it is an L5-30P input connection requiring a 30Amp power source. The P044-06I is an L5-20R output – which is used for 20Amp power, not 30Amp. The P044-06I would not work for the Dell product that you purchased it for as they are not compatible. Dell 6850 - 220V power cable
- Pros: We purchased an used DELL 6850 server only to discover that it was missing the special 220v power cord. The cord available from DELL is ridiculously over priced ($120+) and required a 2+ week lead time. We didn't have that long and after doing a few searches online we found this model.
It's a power cord, it fits, and the server is powered up and running now.. so what more can you ask for? - Cons: Even at the discounted price over DELL's cord it's still an expensive piece of cabling..
