Categories > SATA / eSATA Cables > STARTECH > StarTech SATA18RA1 18" Right Angle SATA Cable

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Great cable.
Pros: looks cool, the length allowed me to run it behind my motherboard so it wasn't sticking in the way of other things.
Cons: None so far.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 just what I needed
Pros: Works great to power sata device.
Cons: none
Other Thoughts: Works great, allowed me to power a sata dvd drive from an old-style molex power connector.

Categories > SATA / eSATA Cables > Coboc > Coboc Model SC-SATA3-18-LL-BK-90 18" 90 Degree to 180 Degree SATA III 6Gb/s Data Cable w/Latch,Black

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5
Pros: - Value: for the most part, a SATA3 cable is a SATA3 cable, especially if it's only 18". There is no need for a $7 cable. But you always wonder about the 25-cent cable. These are above-average cables for a below-average price. You can't go wrong.
- Quality: The metal clips are a must for a secure connection, and these secure nicely. And they have the right flexibility and stiffness for easy installation.
- Right angle connection: There is no "correct" connection for all drives (see Other Thoughts below), but the straight-to-right-angle cable is extremely handy for top or bottom-bay mounted drives.
- Reliablity:
"I bought X cables and Y of them were DOA!"
I personally bought 5 of these and they all work flawlessly on all my SATA3 connections (with advertised speeds on both 850 EVOs).
- Length: 18" is perfect for an ATX. Just enough to reach the furthest two points. Not too much extra to tie down for the close points
Cons: (Only a con for your most bottom-bay device)
This particular cable is amazing for all your devices except the one on the bottom. It hangs DOWN from the device and makes for attractive cable routing everywhere else, but for the last device you want either a straight-to-straight or the opposite hand 90-degree cable.
Other Thoughts: While straight-to-straight connections are the most universal, "right-angle" connectors are awesome for the devices in the drive-bays. You may want to route all your cables "down" or "up" from the back of your devices. Look at the NewEgg photo galleries of your devices and cables and decide which "left" or "right" 90-degree cable is right for you. I bought five of these for all but my bottom drive.

Categories > SATA / eSATA Cables > Rosewill > Rosewill RC-6"-PW-4P-2SA 6" Molex 4pin Male to Two 15pin SATA Power Cable

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 Will cause issue with some cases
Pros: Low cost.
Cons: These will cause issue with some cases where the hard drives point in the direction of the case cover. The power connecter is too long and will not let you put the case cover on. It needs to be a bit stubbier like the one that come out of most standard power supplies.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Decent Cables, No Doubt
Pros: They work. Not much more to say. They pretty much match my motherboard which was the plan. They are secure. Even the end without the clip is nice and secure. It snaps in nicely. They pass data as they are supposed to.

Good cables.
Cons: None that I can see.
Other Thoughts: This company should make the same ones in more colors like green because that's another motherboard color of mine. NVIDIA green.
