Nice case and performance
- Pros: Case is made of metal, slopes in the front. Spacing between connectors is enough that I haven't had any problem using all of them at the same time. A blue led comes on next to the socket when a data device* is plugged in. Power switch on the side of the unit turns it off without having to unplug the main USB.
I have not done any extensive testing of throughput speeds; I have many devices in use and not interested in going through each case.
I tried using the hub with microcontroller programmers from MIcrochip. It did not work. I'm not sure if this is the hub or the programmer. In my case it was a non-issue; the hub freed up all the other ports on the machine so I just used one of those.
Overall, I am very happy with this unit and when on sale I will buy more of them. With all the phones, Bluetooth headphones, MP3 players, tablets I have it is worth it to just have on the counter for a charging station (and I have filled all 10 and not a had a problem charging anything). - Cons: See other thoughts.
- Other Thoughts: Not really cons, but a couple of things I thought odd. When you use a data device the led on the connector comes on. But when you plug something in to charge it does not. If the thing being charged didn't have some indication that it was charging you may not think it is.
The other thing is the supplied USB cable is the new 3.0 USB-B "SuperSpeed" type. Unclear to me what ramifications this may have down the road; just don't be surprised when you see it.

Bad Experience With This Product
- Pros: none that my computer technician states.
- Cons: The 5-High rating is for my computer technician. My rating is low for components of the computer but I am very good working with computer programs. He said this hub was not at all as was specified. For one the cord was not as shown and nothing was as stated. I can say he is very good since the fact is that he built my new computer in March of 2012 and upgraded my old computer the same month. I spent over $2,000 getting all my parts from NewEgg. I had always been very happy with NewEgg until this incident. I hope it will be better in the future.
- Other Thoughts: I wanted an additional 3.0 usb hub for the front of my computer but this item did not fit the bill. It was also difficult getting an RMA for the return and the shipping cost was almost half the amount of the item. My computer technician got angry over the phone. Wish he hadn't. I still want him to find a hub that will work on my computer.

Quality USB3 Hub
- Pros: USB 3 Speeds as advertised, Backwards Comptability works well. Equipment does not get hot.
I buy ~50,000 worth of equipment annually and I was worried about a number of issues that people have been having with USB3 HUbs
Is this the right chipset, will it work with OSX, will it serve a correct MIDI clock rate, will it run both USB3 and USB2 Devices simultaneously. All of these issues have manifested with USB3 hubs so these issues were in the forefront of my thoughts
I didn't have any issues with this HUB and I am very satisfied with this purchase. - Cons: None really.

Works
- Pros: Using a Mac laptop with this, and at first I couldn't use all 7 of the hubs, but after a recent software update from Apple, they all work perfectly, so it really wasn't a problem with this hub. It also works without the power cord, but peripherals that require a powered USB hub will not work (i.e. recharging phones and external harddrives).

Failing
- Pros: Slim, convenient
- Cons: Started failing at 1 year
- Other Thoughts: Perhaps I shouldn't be surprised, but I used the hub without changing cables, so I felt that there wouldn't be the wear that that can cause. Well, it didn't matter, as the slots are losing their connectivity. I'm down to 1 and trying to work on a replacement.

Disappointing Construction
- Pros: Small size. 3.0 connectivity.
- Cons: Large power adapter. The USB connector on the back (to the computer) has become unreliable. Its connection to the internal circuit board is loose.

Nice, simple
- Pros: Very easy, simple way to digitize tapes. I use Cool Edit Pro version to capture audio. Installs excellent on Windows 7.
- Cons: It's a little on the fragile side, aside from that none really. It would have been nice to have it usb powered, and not need batteries. But, for the price I can't complain.
- Other Thoughts: It's very easy to use, install and works nice.

- Pros: Backward USB 2.0 compatibility. High number of USB 3.0 ports.
- Cons: Charging port does not charge an ASUS TF700 pad that also requires 15V 2A. This may be some limitation on the ASUS and not the USB hub. I don't have an iPad to test on it. The charging port does charge other small USB items that require less power. I'll try to update when I get my hands on an iPad to test.
- Other Thoughts: I'm using with three USB 3.0 peripherals and 3 USB 2.0. Absolutely no installation or compatibility issues. Transfer from one USB 3.0 HD to the other accomplished at 150-180 MB/s.

Nice fit and finish
- Pros: Construction quality.
- Cons: Madd in China not Hong Kong
Short USB 3 cable.
- Other Thoughts: After having two lesser hubs fail I plumped for this one. Construction quality appears very high and the unit has ample power for charging. Connections work well. My only complaint is that unlike my other ORICO products this one is made in China and is branded Bokcore not ORICO.
