Pros: Well I think this thing is nothing but pros. The remote offers many more options than most presentation remotes out there. The battery life is a plus along with the fantastic range.

Pros: Although key communication with Windows 7 does lack quite a bit (ie: you have to figure out how the remote actually communicates with the OS, but does still effectively) this remote is a solid build and would buy another. Purchased as a presenter remote.
Cons: Needs updated drivers for Windows.

Pros: Works fine as a remote. Small size is appealing. Vibrating/buzzing alarm is perfect for giving verbose speakers the electronic hook.
Cons: Manual is poorly written. After several hours, I made sense of it, but they left out the most important part: how to start the timer once you have the alarm time programmed. I tried every possible button combination, to no avail. You are stuck with selecting from the built-in presets of 3,5,10,20 & 30 minutes, which start counting down immediately as soon as they are set, which is not the greatest way to implement this.
Other Thoughts: The timer function was the only reason I bought this. This is a great concept, but needs to be implemented.

Pros: Simple setup in Windows7, easy to use. I've presented in large and small rooms using many different devices and this remote is my favorite.
Cons: Range will depend on RF noise in the vicinity. Other 2.4Ghz devices in use may cause range issues (like some cordless phones.)
Other Thoughts: I typically use a desktop USB extension (several available from Newegg) to locate the receiver in a line-of-sight location away from other equipment, usually placed on top of a podium or table.

Pros: Very comfortable, easy to setup and use with windows. Large, but not cumbersome it's actually quite light even with batteries installed. I think the size actually helps to keep it from getting lost or misplaced. There is also a neat feature that enables you to store the wireless receiver in the main device so you won't lose it while travelling.
Cons: It is quite larger then your usual laser pointer.

Pros: The green light is close to optimal for the human eye to pick up. Also, in my profession, we deal with a large number of images that are pink-red-purple, so the green light is an ideal contrasting color. Regarding glossy LCD screens, this light is among the best that I have tried: it works well on an older model Samsung monitor at work though less so on my home Samsung TV (might be the angle). Brightness is very good. The slide navigator works well and overall ergonomics are excellent. It is light weight compared to a previous pointer I had. Ergonomics are very good.
Cons: I dont think this needs a carrying case: this increases the size such that it would only be useful in a suitcase or baggage to protect from some degree of crush. The exterior is also plastic.
Other Thoughts: I would have opted for no case, and make the exterior of the device aluminum with a price bump of $25. Metal exteriors are uncommon these days though. It feels cheap, but I do not think that this adversely affects durability or function of this device. The light is adequately bright; brighter might have been nicer but I think this would decrease battery life. A very bright pointer can be annoying and potentially dangerous I suppose. I would definitely buy this again and recommend to other people willing to pay more for a nice pointer.
