Pros: It wasn't clear in the description, but in addition to the two ink cartridges, a pack of 100 sheets of HP 4x6 photo paper is included. The price on the inks alone was pretty good compared to buying them separately. With the added paper this is a very good value! Both cartridges are new, sealed in package. The HP 57 is manufactured in Singapore, the HP 58 is made in Maylaysia. The photo paper is of Swiss make. The package says it is warranted through Sept 2015, so they are not old expired ink cartridges.
Cons: The price is competitive, but HP ink is still expensive. The HP57 is a high-capacity cartridge, rated to 500 pages, but the HP 58 is only rated to 140 photos. You'll also need a HP 54 black cartridge for non-photo use, or you'll waste the black in the HP 58.
Other Thoughts: This is the set of inks you need for some HP inkjet printers to print in six-color "photo mode," which is supposed to produce better results than standard CMYK printing.

Cons: Cartridge starts acting up after 4 months. Cyan and Magenta starts leaking and dumping unused ink. "SENSOR ERROR" starts to show up on my screen. Yellow cartridge for some reason always runs out of ink. Turns out that yellow ink cant reach the cartridge in time before it is consumed. The only solution to all of these problems is to pull out the cartridges and manually fill them with ink before tanks are halfway consumed.

Other Thoughts: I bought a pack of L2 before and non of them worked properly. I thought I am getting a deal. They said it was either my printer or my fault. Yes, it was my fault for ever buying from them. I bought these original brother cartridges and they worked right of the bet. no issues what so ever. Don't waste your money buying the other stuff.

Pros: Branded and made by manufacturer and who knows best than the manufacturer what ink will work best with the printer they made. Does not leak, good black color without fading. Can reuse cartridge for later refills at other places or at home. The biggest pro is that It was on sale so why bother trying to figure out how to save on ink when its already on sale.
Cons: Biggest con is the price. In many cases the cost of ink = the printer itself and its better just to get a new printer than buy it. Then the old printer just ends up in a landfill --which is not good for the environment especially that already many products made in china end up there.
Other Thoughts: Ink for some is like bread, you just have to have it every now and then. Hey manufacturer wouldn't it make sense just to sell your ink at a affordable price than having it overpriced.
