Cons: There's always a con with this technology. However, nothing stood out. I am perfectly satisfied with this piece.
Other Thoughts: Here's the thing, "the Shack" sells these things for $20, and theirs are really, REALLY bad, I mean like absolute trash worthless. I basically came to the conclusion at one point that this technology is always flawed, so they'll all suck no matter what, might as well buy it cheap as hell. So then I buy this. And it's literally perfect. Nothing ever goes wrong anymore. I had to retract my idea that they'll all suck no matter what. This one is fine. If you need an auxiliary tape converter, buy this one.

Steep learning curve for setting the alarm and the time
Pros: Good functionality: Three ways to have the alarm set up: buzzer, CD and radio. There are three levels of dimming on the display and the alarm sounds start off soft and build to the loud setting. The sound of the player is good considering the small size of the unit and the speakers. The price is reasonable
Cons: The time and alarm adjustment should be straightforward and fast. Unfortunately it is not. I learned how to do it but it took a lot of trial and error. The buttons have a loud click sound to them and if your partner/spouse is already asleep, it may wake them. Those two negatives cost my review two stars.
Other Thoughts: My Zenith, with similar functionality lasted 15 years. It remains to be seem if this one will last that long.

Cons: The MCP-290-00053-0N 2U Kit doesn't fit on my 4U server.
Other Thoughts: I've ordered this from multiple vendors in different parts of the country and I keep getting the 00053 kit with a hand written "7" taped over the "3" and a 4U sticker on the side. Not sure where in the distribution chain this is happening, but I'm waiting to hear back from Supermicro about getting a set direct from them.

Pros: These are the brackets you need to rackmount a 908e.
Cons: these are ridiculously overpriced and should be included when you buy a rackmount device like a 908e.
Other Thoughts: I get it, the 908e comes with rubber feet, but I bet there are few of these out there that aren't rack mounted. And it isn't all that easy to identify the correct brackets needed. The least Adtran could do is provde the correct part numbers to order if they are too cheap to throw in some $3 bits of bent steel with holes drilled in them.
