Pros: VERY low price compared to name-brand amps of the same rating Great performance with my 2 12" Rockford Fosgate Punch 2 series subs. Stays pretty cool - never got hot to the touch, even after hours of full-volume use.
Cons: Not as powerful as I was expecting from a 2500watt (1000watt RMS) amp. The terminals for power and ground required special adapters that I picked up from Lowes to get this working.
Other Thoughts: I replaced an Apline PDX-1.600 Amp that died of old age with this amp. The Alpine is rated less powerful, but is much more expensive than this amp, but I've seen about the same performance from both. Also, I never bothered to use the remote bass adjusting knob, so I'm not sure how well that works.

Pros: Mine came rated at 187 watts per channel into 2 ohms, which is a good deal higher than advertised. Amp is utterly silent and highly efficient. (Moved all grounds for audio system to a star-ground configuration for ground loop elimination) The thing is light and tiny, and I mean TINY. I fit it under my seat (Bolted through carpet to a piece of birch epoxied to the floor) and even with all the air bag wiring under the seat it fits with room to spare. Cant even see the amps unless you pull the seat all the way forward, and this is in a tiny Corolla. These amps are driving a pair of SPR60c's and SPR 6x9's. I love how clear the highs are and the amp seems to provide a consistent amount of power across the audible spectrum. It sounds fantastic.
Cons: I had some issues with the power and ground connectors, it was hard to get a tight fit. I think this is more of a problem with the tsunami wire I used than anything. Once I soldered the ends so they were no longer malleable, I was able to get a secure fit in the amp receptacle.

Pros: Good price for power it is supposed to have. Nice sized cooling fins and good size/shape.
Cons: Never even worked. Green light comes on and goes of with ignition, installed by a professional but never worked. Need to ship back (making me pay for shipment of faulty product). Will probably have to wait another two weeks just to get replacement shipped and another week to receive replacement.
Other Thoughts: Have owned a pyramid amp before and it was good and lasted many years and it powered many subs in it's lifetime.

Pros: Great for the price.Alot of amps that cost more and that are rated higher wattage actually do less than this amp.Not all audiopipe amps do this but this model does what it says.I have been in audio for 23 years and also a amplifier repair technician for the same amount of time. I can say that when compared to alot of new amp designs, that this is built well on the inside.I happy to say if you don't already know that this amp is not a gamble. I have been operating this model apsm1500 at 1 OHM on 2 DVC 12's for 8 months and it has never overheated or burned out. I will now move on to the apsm2000 for hopefully the same great amp with alittle more power.
Cons: Can't think of any serious enough to comment on
Other Thoughts: Just to be clear. I am not particularly an audiopipe fan.But when someone makes something good, they deserve credit.
