Panasonic KX-TGA939T 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 Additional Digital Cordless Handset for the KX-TG939 Series

These are great
- Pros: These are great. They hold a good charge and go a very long range. They are also 2 line compatible so when paired with the 2 line base station you can conference call and use 2 lines. Also the intercom and local conference call options sound good and don't overpower each other like picking up 2 phones on the same line.
- Cons: Color being black means they blend-in in an office environment. i with the indicator light on the top was bigger so it would be easier to find when ringing.

works
- Pros: got it to register with a dect 1560-3 base
- Cons: the direction on the uniden site are wrong to register the handsets to 15xx base
- Other Thoughts: to get it to register
1. unplug power from the base 2. hold the find button on the base 3. plug in power on the base 4. wait til the charge light blinks 5. release the find button 6. hold the # button on a handset to register

Uniden does not honor warranty
- Pros: Nothing really, it's just a run of the mill phone
- Cons: Dead after two months and Uniden will do nothing to replace it.
- Other Thoughts: It takes a very long time for uniden customer support to answer.

Works Great with MagicJack+
- Pros: Vtech Products are:
- Price - Quality - User Friendly - Free Shipping - Works with Magic Jack Plus and Magic Jack - Phone uses 1.9 Ghz frequency which will not impact your 2.4 Ghz wireless network. - Cons: - The only thing negative was shipping via newegg which is usually top notch. I purchased the phone on 12/21 and it did not ship until 12/26. It would have been nice if our eggy friends would have placed a warning to expect delays it will take a few days package and ship the phone.
- Other Thoughts: I originally purchased the base unit and two expansion handsets about two years ago. The Vtech phones have worked like a champ! So my goal was to simply add another handset to an already existing and solid setup.

Not a stand alone phone
- Pros: cheap price.
- Cons: Apparently you need a separate base unit to make this work.

Family satisfaction
- Pros: I got tired of playing "where's the landline" and bought two additional phones so everyone had one in their room and common areas were covered. It was easy to add the phones to existing set.
- Cons: None

Replaced a weak one
- Pros: Lightweight.
Clear sound on speakerphone. Panasonic quality. - Cons: None so far
- Other Thoughts: We had a pair of these bought as a set. I foolishly allowed handset no. 2 to run the battery all the way down before recharging - and I did so a number of times. After that it wouldn't hold a charge for long. Finally replaced it with this new handset. After use, replace the phone in the charging cradle - don't let it run all the way down !

Very Nice
- Pros: You have to love Panasonic technology. Bought these phones for wifes' 80 yo mom. One short class and now she shows me how to do things. Large numbers and letters and the phone speaks to you if you select this option. Easy to program. Transmits and receives well inside and outside a three story house.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: Fast delivery and it came through the NewEgg.

Panasonic KX-TGA939T 1.9 GHz DECT 6.0 Additional Digital Cordless Handset for the KX-TG939 Series

Good Phones, spendy for a phone.
- Pros: This is a satellite handset for a two line (in my case) telephone base. It is capable of operating on line one or line two, which is significant if you have more than one line.
It works great with Ooma VOIP. I've been using these for well over a year and have had zero problems with them. They are ALWAYS on their charging base unless in use so the batteries seem to be holding up very well. Battery life is excellent, I've never even come close to fully discharging the battery the way I use this handset. I've had it off the charger for a full 24 hours and the battery is still nearly full. I've talked on the handset with clients for upwards of 3 hours continuously and with several shorter calls the same day without issues of any kind.
The range to base is excellent, as is voice quality both in and outbound. They do not seem to pick up much background noise and are very easy to hear.
Easy to use, lots of features and very well constructed. There are no discernible shortcomi - Cons: It's expensive, even considering the two-line capability it costs more than two separate handsets of a similar class of phone. One of the problems with cordless handsets is as you move about with them things can happen to them. They can get lost, fall in a sink full of dishwater, be dropped and broken, etc. At this price point you'll want to be careful you're not replacing handsets due to avoidable accidents.
Not really a con for this handset but the two-line base has bluetooth and the signal is weak. Sitting within 3 feet of the base I get static on every headset I've tried, and complaints from people I'm talking to that I'm hard to hear. The handsets are NOT bluetooth capable, which you might expect they would be in a handset that costs this much. They DO have a regular 3.5mm headset jack so if you need to you could carry them around with a headset plugged in and use them.
All in all, for my purposes there are no serious cons worth knocking an egg off for.
- Other Thoughts: I have the base and handsets in my home office, one line is my business line and one is my personal line. It has some great features like alarm and night mode that I really appreciate as clients will call at all hours- not expecting to talk to me but looking to leave a message for me at my desk, so this thing doesn't wake me up when they do that.
This is probably the best personal telephone for my purposes that I've ever owned.
Everything works as it should and it does so extremely reliably. I have had absolutely NO problems with this system since I installed it and it gets a lot of hours of use. The system that this handset is used with does exactly what it's designed to do, it does exactly what the literature says it's supposed to do, and I have had no surprises with it at all. Which is why it gets 5 eggs from me.

Menu button stops working
- Pros: Still works after a couple years.
- Cons: I've had 2 sets of Uniden phones over the past 4 years or so, the first one the menu button started to be unresponsive then totally stopped working. This second set was given to us, and somewhere between 6 months to a year, same thing. I'm not buying Uniden anymore after experiencing the same problem on 2 completely different models.
- Other Thoughts: If your looking for a phone to last you with all functions in tact, look elsewhere.
