Pros: It's a passive DisplayPort to DVI adapter. These are much cheaper than the active converters, but require DisplayPort++ on your computer.
It seems to lock securely in place once plugged in.
Cons: Not an active adapter. Can't attach multiple monitors to one DisplayPort with a hub or daisychain with this.
The DVI end seems a tight fit on this ViewSonic monitor I have it attached to. Not a big deal, as I believe it's a fault in the monitor's design.
Other Thoughts: There is a review for this type of adapter that says the user was not able to unplug the adapter from his computer and ended up destroying it in the process. I have a response for that problem, in caps so it will be easier to spot:
YOU MUST SQUEEZE THE CONNECTOR TO UNLOCK IT. I guess it would have been simpler if the connector said "push" in small letters, but the makers of this adapter assumed that we would be able to figure it out.
Also, some reviewers say it just plain doesn't work with their setup. Not sure if this is the problem, but if you don't have DisplayPort++, then you need an active adapter. This is a passive adapter.
That said, I like this adapter so far. It lets me attach a second monitor to my laptop. Now I have one D-sub and one DVI monitor at work.

Pros: It works, and it's a display port cable...see other thoughts
Cons: I don't have my F*ing samsung TV yet (it comes tomorrow but still, I have to wait and even stay home from work tomorrow to make sure it gets here so I can play with it.
Other Thoughts: I was worried about the reviews saying it's passive and blah blah, it works perfectly fine with the 1.2 display port on the Sapphire Radeon 280X OC (also bought from newegg a few weeks ago). The radeon box/ports don't have the double plus sign or anything but I went ahead and tested out the cable on my LG monitor and it booted right up, of course I had to re-calbrate the settings to get my screen back to it's native resolution but it works just fine...can't wait to try it out on my new tv tomorrow.

Cons: Tried them on different computers, none of them worked. I thought I was going crazy. I happened to also buy Startech 6ft cables and those worked.
Other Thoughts: Don't buy these unless you want to be cheap and take a chance. otherwise get a name brand.

Cons: Did not work! The monitor I was connecting to could not detect the presence of my laptop. I have an adapter that does work, but is too wide to use the mini-displayport connection at the same time.
