Missing info
- Pros: Looks nice.
- Cons: Can't find some info.
- Other Thoughts: This phone is going on Shell Shocker in a couple hours so I've downloaded the manual for it. But, it won't tell me if the base unit has an indicator for Old Messages. The one I have now doesn't and it's a real pain. If my wife sees the message light flashing and listens to a message that’s for me, she has to leave me a note to play the messages because there’s no other way for me to know. Our older phones had a light that was:
Off = no messages, On = old messages, and Blink = new messages.
I’ve also tried Panasonic CS and they couldn't help me with this, either. It's frustrating not getting an answer to a feature that’s important to me, hence the 1 star rating.

It works
- Pros: Simple to hook up.
- Cons: Shouldn't need this thing in the first place.
- Other Thoughts: I've read reviews of this device on other sites, including Panasonic's, stating that this comes with no documentation. I think Panasonic finally heard the negative reviews and now includes decent documentation on how to hook this thing up. Pretty straight-forward. Probably added an extra 30 to 40 feet of radius to the transmit range. For some reason the receive range is better than the transmit range.

- Pros: cordless phone with 4 handsets
- Cons: The phone does not have the advertised features from the product description
These are the advertised features and how they are wrong:
Handset & base station speakerphone - The handsets do, but the base has no speakerphone. It has a speaker, but no microphone and you have to use the handsets to even record your answering machine message.
Customizable color bands - They actually sent me a L704m, which is only different from the L704 because it does not have these.
Corded dialing base - you can not dial from the base. There are no user inputs on the base at all and it connects to a cordless handset not a corded handset.
Corded phone functions when AC power is down - quick guide specifically states "This equipment is not designed to make emergency telephone calls during power failures. Alternative arrangements should be made for access to emergency services."
- Other Thoughts: Don't know what happened to my other review, maybe I didn't submit it right.
I bought this phone specifically for the corded base option and the ability to make calls even when the power is out. Its not necessarily a bad phone, but is not what it claims to be and gets one star for that. I am very disappointing with the product description.

Defective product
- Pros: Featureset is great
- Cons: Unit is dropping calls, even on the hardwired basestation
- Other Thoughts: Look, I love panansonic and have never bought another cordless phone brand, but I need to warn you there is something going on with this model where if you are on the phone, everything goes quiet, then the phone beeps three times and you have lost your call. It happens at no regular interval, I even hear the base station cutting on and off with an audible beep. I thought it might be the connection to the cordless phone but it happened when using the speaker phone. This is the second unit l have had like this that has had this problem. Dont buy this phone!

Don't Buy Any Other Brand DECT Phones
- Pros: Panasonic cordless DECT phones are the only ones that allow you to replace the batteries with off the shelf AAA rechargeable NI-MH batteries, which are much cheaper than the proprietary batteries other phone makers (ATT, Vtech, etc) force you to use. Look up the price of 2XAAA NIMH batteries vs. the replacement "special" batteries other phone makers force you to use.
- Cons: NONE
- Other Thoughts: Don't get ripped off, do your homework on the price of the replacement batteries.

Work's good
- Pros: Good range from base. batteries keep good charge.
- Cons: message volume from base weak. phone menu could be better.
- Other Thoughts: miss the lighted antenna i had on older model. and i paid 40 some when i bought mine.

Much cheaper elsewhere (...zon)
- Pros: Not exactly feature rich, but they work very well. I keep the base station in the basement and remotes in the FR, Kitchen & MBR - 3rd story other side of the house. Plus I can wonder all about, front or back yards, no drops.
- Cons: None (for now anyway)
- Other Thoughts: I love Newegg, but they're too often out-of date on pricing.
Bought 1 base station and 3 extensions at ...zon for < $190. ($99.99 + 3 x 29.99) so Newegg's packaging ain't that hot: (1 + 1 @ 179.99 ???). So shop around and save $50 or more when buying 2.

Awesome and Perfect
- Pros: Feature laden. Impressive battery Life. 5 handsets.
Clarity of calls. - Cons: None.
- Other Thoughts: We've had this as a replacement set for my Previous Panasonic 4 handset model. That unit worked pretty well, but when the batteries started going, they went fast.
This model has a LONG talk time, and a great standby time out of the charger.
Clarity on all calls, with no breakup, or dropped calls ever.
Naming of each handset is handy not only for Intercom, but when you wander around and find a hand unit, you know where it goes back to without doing an 5 location audit.
We have a 50 x 100 foot lot and I can go to my neighbour's house and continue a conversation with perfect clarity.
Contrary to some opinion on here, I am able to recall a dialed list, not just the last call dialed and all calls incoming all from the MENU and navigation buttons.
This is an excellent set, with no flaws or faults that I have discovered as of yet. What more could one ask of a home phone landline set? Nothing. You won't regret getting this unit.

Great Phones
- Pros: Newer Technology. Has sleep/standy mode to conserve battery life. Does not drop connection to base unit like older models.
- Cons: I myself don't really have any cons. Although, as with most new gadgets these days, learning the menu system takes time and diligence.
- Other Thoughts: I can't say one would go wrong choosing these phones.
Maybe other brands will have other/different features,
however, these could be the best out there currently.
