Started out great, then went kaput
- Pros: I don't think "tech knowledge" is particularly relevant for an electric pencil sharpener. Although I guess you can always blame "user error." At any rate, I picked this unit based on overall positive reviews. We were happy with it for as long as it lasted...
- Cons: ....unfortunately, it lasted less than a month. It just quit sharpening. The motor stopped, or quit sharpening in a dependable way.The good news this happened within 30 days, and Newegg was great about authorizing a refund.
- Other Thoughts: This was to be our answer for our daughter's middle school pencil sharpening volunteer work for her math teacher. We gave the machine a good work out while we had it. Not sure what we'll replace it with. Overall positive reviews don't mean much if you get a lemon.

Bad
- Pros: Worked upon arrival.
- Cons: - Cheap Build Quality
- Light Weight
- It's unnecessarily HUGE
- Doesn't actually make the pencil very sharp
- if your pencil is slightly dull but not sharp it won't actually do anything to the pencil.
- Very overpriced
- Automatic pencil feed is slow, annoying, inconvenient, unnecessary and unreliable
I would like to be able to
- Other Thoughts: Overly engineered and under designed from an experience standpoint. I almost never write reviews and i've almost never been more disappointed in wasting $60.

Its a pencil sharpener
- Pros: A pencil sharpener's purpose is to sharpen pencils. It does that well with no issue so far. Provides a nice sharp point and that was what I was looking for.
- Cons: None so far.

No Support from Bostich Avoid!
- Pros: Still runs great!
- Cons: Blades in a school classroom get dull.
Blades would be easy to replace but Bostich doesn't sell replacement blades for any of their sharpeners. Dull blades are normal wear and tear so no warranty replacement. They say buy new ones!
- Other Thoughts: I took the sharpener apart just like I do for Xacto products and called to order new cutters. Was told the above. 10 that still run strong are headed to the landfill shame on you Bostich Corporation. Xacto sells me repalcement blades all of the time, lesson learned. Avoid this product!

- Pros: absolutely none
- Cons: with difficulty sharpened two pencils and then it died. Newegg somehow considers this $30 pencil sharpener a consumable--like an ink cartridge?
- Other Thoughts: get a $2 old fashioned twist between your fingers sharperner and you'll go far

The perfect pencil sharpener for home
- Pros: Compact, easily sharpens graphite pencils and colored pencils with ease. worked from the first time I used it, have used it for several months and it still works fine; even though most of what I sharpen are my colored pencils (with their wax base). the catch tray is very easy to open and empty:the blades are pretty easy to get to to clean. Also, the price-I got this sharpener at a lower cost from Newegg than Wal Mart was selling them for.
- Cons: the 1 and only con is that it does not sharpen over sized pencils(for that I have a manual sharpener that adjusts to different sizes).
