Categories > Built-in Ovens > Frigidaire > Frigidaire FGB24T3ES 24" Single Gas Oven with Full-Size Lower Broiler White

Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1Rating + 1 Defective Units
Pros: Heats Up Quick...
Cons: Hinges are so poorly designed that with little use they bend and won't open. Sometimes they won't even open enough for you to take the door off to stop what you have in the oven from burning. What the hinges screw into is flimsy too making it almost guaranteed you will break the entire oven shell and need a new oven. The timer buzzer is so low it is pointless to use. The heating is always off(approximately 25 degrees) so we bought a thermostat.
Other Thoughts: I wouldn't take it for free that is how bad this unit is. Hinges if you do it yourself are $40-50 to replace and you have to remove the unit to replace them. I called a repair man and they want about $150 per hinge replacement. All of the hinges seem to flex when you open the doors so it is just a matter of time before you have to replace them again. This is not uncommon just do a search and you will see many people with the same issue. With light usage like 1-2 times a month we have replaced the hinges twice a year. The most recent time the screws have stripped out making it so that I will need to improvise a fix for the next repair.

Categories > Built-in Ovens > Frigidaire > Frigidaire PLEB27T9FC 27" Electric Double Wall Oven Stainless steel

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Fantastic oven
Pros: Awesome looking stailess steel. Double identical ovens and each oven has Convection, that's a feature very hard to find. The windows are big and you can turn the light on witout having to open the door. The controls are very cool looking and easy to read, set up timer and all kind of alarms makes it easy to use. This oven is actually at the top of the line at the Frigidaire product line and I don't see how newegg can offer it at such low price, it retails for $2,549.00. Aparently Frigidaire is a subsidiary of Eletrolux and is made in Canada, the oven it is marked "Professional Series" and when you unpack it, you will be able to tell the superior construction quality, is a huge hunk of solid steel that weights over 240lbs, I remember reading somewhere that it's weight is 150lbs, thats not true. Not that the heavy weight is a drawback or a "con", it's just impresive in a good way. The "Ahhaas" and "Ohhhs" and jaws droping were happening around the room when we opened the wood crate.
Cons: It's a bummer, but is not a "replicator" machine lke the one in Star Trek. Oh well, someday we will have one. That's about the only con I can find.
Other Thoughts: Two of us were able to install it - we used a car jack to lift it and slide it into place (yes, a car jack) - and we did the electrical part too but we knew what we were doing. Please DO NOT attempt to install it yourself and seek professional help, with the money you save by purchasing it from newegg you will have plenty of money left over to have the electrician and carpenter do it for you.
