Pops good, but...
- Pros: Heats up to a high temperature quickly and pops all kernels efficiently. I have made several batches of both buttered and kettle style popcorn and they have all turned out great
- Cons: Here is where my 2 star rating comes in. The cover/bowl is extremely flimsy. When the unit heats up, the sides of the cover/bowl get far too hot to touch. This has caused the cover/bowl to develop several cracks in various places that have severely compromised the strength of the cover/bowl. Now the entire cover/bowl flexes when handled and the cracks elongate with every use. I can't imagine this cover is going to last much longer, and then the unit will be totally useless. Makes me miss my stir crazy popper.

Just like at the theaters
- Pros: Exactly as pictured.
Comes easy to put together, bulb already installed makes good popcorn - Cons: Make too little at a time.
Great for a one two person household, but gotta make many more times for a few people over for a movie. The measure is 3oz of popcorn and 1tbs of oil/butter/popcorn flavored oil. Cooks pretty good and only a few kernels left, which usually pop out first. Cute design. I gave two of these as gifts and everyone really liked it.

Pop Pup
- Pros: Discount Tommy shipping was right on time. I gave this as a gift and do not know how it works. When it arrived, I opened the top of the box and pulled the unit out. It was well protected and looked to be built well. Very cute for a popcorn popper.
- Cons: Dont have any yet as it is still wrapped and not used yet.
- Other Thoughts: Gave as a gift to the kids

West Bend 82416 Red Air Crazy Hot Air Popcorn Popper

Big ol' jet airliner
- Pros: - inexpensive
- compact - easy to clean - Cons: - LOUD!
- vibrates - neck becomes too hot to touch - many un-popped kernels ejected
- Other Thoughts: It really is loud, enough that if you have hard surfaces that bounce sound easily you might consider hearing protection. The vibration is also quite annoying; the butter melter cup rattles the whole time and the whole unit moves around the countertop. You have to hold it in in place so it doesn't move away from the bowl.

PRESTO 04820 White PopLite hot air corn popper

Fast, healthy, cheap popcorn
- Pros: This hotair popper requires no oil, butter, greases, nor anything else. Simply pour the kernels (around 1/4 cup) into the chute and plug the popper. It takes around a minute to reach the temperature for popping, and around 30 seconds to finish. No butter means no mess (and no cholesterol), and the thing never needs cleaning. Once it cools down, it's ready for storage. Moreover, buying the kernels is far cheaper than buying microwavable packets. Because it is a simple mechanism (fan + heater), it is quite resilient. The general assembly feels sturdy, including the cable.
- Cons: It is rather noisy, like an average hair dryer. And because it uses hot air, the bowl used to collect the popcorn can get hot: avoid metal bowls, use plastic / ceramic if possible.
- Other Thoughts: It can pop ALL the kernels, but it is tricky. A couple of runs and one learns to tilt the unit slightly back, then forward, to keep kernels inside the chute and thus pop them without burning them. Leaving the unit unattended can yield very different outcomes depending on the amount of kernels in the chute: too many, and they stick and burn. Too few, and the fly all over the place.

Toastess TCP-615Y Yellow 6-Quart Popcorn Maker

my first 2 batches
- Pros: Oil popped popcorn tastes better then air or microwaved popcorn
- Cons: Very poorly constructed lid. The lid doesn't fit the base well and the cap doesn't snap onto the lid. This is very frustrating because the cap is used to cover the steam holes when you use the lid as a bowl. You CAN'T use it as such because the cap falls off thus leaving the holes open to spill salt and such onto other areas.
- Other Thoughts: I regret buying this model. It was one of the cheapest available. If I had the money I would love to get a home movie theater stand up model. Regrettably you don't get what you pay for nowadays. If you also cant afford a better model stick to microwave popcorn.

- Pros: Lots of fresh popcorn!
- Cons: nothing realy. Just would like to know how to make caramalized popcorn like it is sold in the cinema. I somehow don't get it like that. There must be some trick or ingredient I'm missing.
- Other Thoughts: Maybe there could be better Instructions and Tips how to get the best out of the machine. Some experiance know how, not only the simple, obvoise instructions.

Only Buy On Sale
- Pros: Pops every kernel
Everything, but the base, is dishwasher safe - Cons: Not worth $110
- Other Thoughts: I got sick of overly salted microwave popcorn (with its potential health hazards [Diacetyl]), and the lid, on the old pot I use to make popcorn on the stove, had warped. So, oil was splattering all over the stove top ...
I Bought this on Sale, after having read numerous bad reviews on other sites. It does seem cheaply made. So, I am taking care when assembling it (forcing none of the plastic parts) ... the stirring mechanism does not do a great job of moving all the kennels, but it does seem to get them all to pop. I pre-fill it with oil and popcorn, and turn it on 10 minutes before my movie starts (take 8 minutes to pop).
Besides the cheap construction (I wonder how many batches it will make before it breaks?) ... it also splatters a small amount of oil out of the seal between the bucket and heating unit. Unlike a stove, were you can not put a paper towel around the heating coil (or gas flame); you can place it on top of paper napkins, and catch the splatter.

Great Machine
- Pros: Makes perfect popcorn, Has holes on bottom of tray so you don't eat a handful of kernels, Look good
- Cons: Takes some time to clean if you want it to stay looking good
- Other Thoughts: I've only had the machine for two weeks but the popcorn taste great and the smell is like being at a carnival. I chose to buy the manufactures popcorn packs, it would be cheaper to mix your own batch but I like the flavor and ease of just pouring one thing into the kettle.

Needs tweeks
- Pros: Cute, red and compact, cord stores undeaneath.
- Cons: It's too compact, no really. When the popcorn starts popping it ejected 30 grams of the 80 grams of popcorn placed in the unit(unpopped.)
The kernels were ejected with force and bounced out of the bowl and on my floor, yes "crazy" belongs in it's name There are units that don't do this.
