Grinding noises after only a couple of days.
- Pros: Nice fan when it worked.
- Cons: It did not function properly past the first two days. Started grinding on each turn. It now only works without oscillation.

LASKO 2138 8" Electrically Reversible Twin Window Fan
Garbage -cheap and only 7" AVOID
- Pros: It got here quickly. That's the only positive.
- Cons: The fan blades measure 7" however the housing will fit a 9" fan. So yes you have 2" of open space around the fan blades and the housing.
VERY cheaply made, flimsy plastic, noisy motor, very poorly made switches that bind and stick.
Overall I wish I could return this fan. We get a window fan every 1-2 years and use them all summer long. This one even though it's brand new is so terrible we're keeping our 2-year old fan that's on it's last legs and still performs better.
- Other Thoughts: Avoid, this is a BAD deal, if it were priced at less than $20 you would be paying a fair price.

- Pros: great fan to have for the window or floor or table its all metal and blows strong love the metal blades.
- Cons: no cons its everything that I can ask for in a metal floor fan.

LASKO 4820 Fan
- Pros: My first tower fan ever and I have no complaints. Newegg shipped it quickly and the price was lower than other retailers. The base was very easy to assemble and the fan came with two base halves, remote control (AAA batteries excluded), 6 screws, instruction manual. You'll need a Philips #2 screwdriver and the assembly shouldn't take longer than 5 minutes. Very quiet fan even on setting #3 and very slim too. Should fit anywhere on the floor as long as you have enough space to fit the 12 inch x 12 inch base.
- Cons: Oscillates about 90 degrees or so. I wouldn't really count this as a con since I prefer to angle the fan so that it is pointed toward a wall. As a result, the cool air can bounce off the wall and the air flow can spread efficiently.

bring back the older model
- Pros: NONE - except that as always, NEWEGG was prompt with delivery, far exceeding its stated time frame. I continue to feel confident that NEWEGG is my top Web retailer. But Lasko has fallen from favor.
- Cons: THis model replaced a previous reversible fan by Lasko which is no longer made but which worked far more efficiently. The earlier version had less plastic and more propeller action. The current model contains too much housing, thereby blocking air flow. It moves less air than its predecessor and mostly just makes noise. Neither the draw nor the exhaust equal the power of the earlier model. Don't waste your money. This fan offers considerable hype but little return. Plus - the construction is amazingly flimsy. I foolishly placed my faith in a company that used to make all its products in the U.S.A.
- Other Thoughts: Although it is tiresome to keep turning a box fan around so as to create drawn or exhaust, the result is better than what you get with this overbuilt Lasko convertible fan. Lasko still makes a decent box fan and a decent floor fan.

a good value...moves air but LOUD on high
- Pros: looks cool in black...sturdy construction
standard fan assembly with slight changes for the metal blades
continuous speed knob instead of having to turn it back and forth
Man, this thing sure moves some air! (even on low) - Cons: due to the metal blades and high fan speed, this thing is quite loud on high!
if you turn it down to low, it is less obnoxious and still moves alot of air
but this is no white noise pedestal fan for a bedroom or something...in fact i dont think it is suitable for a bedroom at all
- Other Thoughts: longevity is the question...its hard to find a pedestal fan that will last even 2 summers these days
seems solidly constructed though...we'll see
im not sure if i would want to run more than 1 of these at a time, but it does its job well...recommended!

LASKO 3635 Air Flexor 3 Speed Fan Black
Great Fan that Pushes a lot of Air
- Pros: Moves a lot of air, a convenient remote, and can put it on the wall
- Cons: Noise can be an issue with some
- Other Thoughts: I had purchased this fan as a replacement for the Vornado that I have had for a while, unfortunately it had finally died and I wanted something similar to it. It does work great, however the noise is quite a bit more noticeable on low and it is a little bit too loud for the room I have it in. If its in a large room, it will not be loud, but if you are in a small 180 square foot room, it may be a little to noisy for some. All in all though, I would recommend this item as it does provide strong air movement, and its a lot less expensive then the higher cost of a Vornado.

LASKO 4916 Desktop Tower Fan
Most Worthwhile Small fan
- Pros: Has 3 nice settings low mid range and a high speed. it turns very well and has a pivotting top to cover more area. It can cool a cpu or gpu of an overheating laptop if need be. it also adds great air circulation to a small cramped computer room.
- Cons: none
- Other Thoughts: make sure to clean it about once a month because it does tend to build up dust i used a air compressor and didn't focus the air but from a nice distance removed tons of dust clogging the gears up which im sure would end up causing it to fail later down the road.
