Very Useful Item!
- Pros: 5 outlets
4 switchable

Surge protection (all Outlets) - Cons: Unit has a very large footprint compared to a regular power strip. (12"W x 12"D x1 1/2" H)
- Other Thoughts: If you have the desk space, this power manager makes it easy to shut down those unnecessary power bricks that are commonly used for printers, external drives, and phone chargers etc. Just turn on what you want when needed and save some juice. I caught quite a deal on this at $14.95 as a "1 Sale a Day' featured item. Right place, right time!

- Pros: Attractive packaging, adequate service a brief period (approximately two months). Nice instructions.
- Cons: A Watt Stopper product I purchased new on Feb 20, 2013 was defective (seriously loud buzzing after 60 days of routine use). Their 5-year warranty applies only to resellers, not purchasers. So that expensive, made in USA device you went out of your way to purchase instead of Chinese trash? Yeah, about that... when it breaks, the manufacturer abandons you.
- Other Thoughts: Just be certain to switch off the power before your place burns to the ground.

Didn't get what was advertised
- Pros: The cheapness of price
- Cons: The Newegg ad is a lie. The "Two Ethernet plugs" are NOT Ethernet. They are telephone. The links to APC are no good for this product because apparently the are not made any more.
- Other Thoughts: Mine has a manufacturer test sheet packaged with it dated 2004.

Does exactly what it's supposed to do!
- Pros: My new TV only had an optical audio output and I wanted to connect my wireless headphones (which only has RCA inputs). This converter did exactly what it's meant to. Works perfectly.

Needed workaround
- Pros: It turns on.
- Cons: The white connector side does not work
- Other Thoughts: After I plugged it in I noticed that sound was coming from the right side only. After troubleshooting, found out the the left (white) connector on the converter was not working. Luckily I had a splitter and connected to the working red connector. Now sound it coming through both sides. If I didn't have the splitter, I would have sent it back.

Useful item
- Pros: This item, I find it very useful for my purpose which is controlling Lighting remotely. I'm sure it is not consuming high current on standby so it is pretty safe to leave it plugged it on standby. Consumption is comparable to the light sensing night lamps that you can buy in any supermarket. Plug it and leave it.
- Cons: None so far. I was checking for heat build up while in "standby mode" NIL found.
