36 Pcs Carabiner 2" / 5cm Assorted Colors anodized Aluminum Alloy locking Clip Camping Spring Snap Hook Keychain Hiking

You get enough it makes it worth it
- Pros: You get a lot of them. Price point is really good.
Color coded so you could organize what you clip by color. Durable for what you get. Sustains a fair amount of weight for the size. - Cons: You can easily break the spring on the clips if you somehow bring the clip part forward. It's not a huge deal though because it can still close, and because you get so many of them.
- Other Thoughts: I'm surprised not more people buy camping gear from Newegg, regardless of it being a tech site. This is the best deal I've ever seen on carabiners, and they shipped in relatively short time.

KONG HMS 3 Stage Auto Lock Carabiner Anodized

- Pros: Large pear shape makes this a great anchor pivot. Autolock is reliable. Lightweight for large size
- Cons: Autolock material is a little light duty for me, however, the latch is solid
- Other Thoughts: Good to have with you for any trekking or climbing. 3-Stage cam system is a little annoying at first but is faster than screw-type carabiners with same locking strength

works for my purposes
- Pros: Quality - This panel is well built, with quality materials. The frame is very solid aluminum which is about as weather resistant as it gets.
Simplicity - The wiring panel is easy to get to, but still well protected. The snap on cover isn't coming off accidentally, but the terminals are never more than a couple seconds away.
Price - Compared to a similar unit I was pricing at "the shack", this one has a better build quality and slightly higher power output (by 0.2 watts) at a slightly lower price. - Cons: Unclear Specifications - I'm not sure what the "6v or 12v" in the product description is about. If it were 2 smaller panels joined together in one frame you could double the voltage up to 6v. As far as I know you'd need to buy 2 of these panels and wire them together in series to reach 12v.
Heavy and potentially fragile - While I like the thick aluminum frames, I fear the extra weight could be a liability if these glass panels were dropped. I read reviews online where the panels were broken during transit. Luckily I had no such problems.
- Other Thoughts: I bought 2 of these panels directly from botach, on second thought I'd have preferred to have newegg backing me up on my purchase.
I attached female usb ports to the terminals, passing through 7805 5+ voltage regulators. They are currently charging 5500 maah usb batteries(albiet slowly), which will in turn charge my various handheld devices.
It took me less time to put together the chargers than it took to write this review.
I may re-configure the 2 I bought into a parralel circuit to charge the battery twice as fast in the future.

Brunton Step 1204 Digital Pedometer

Works and looks as described
- Pros: *Relatively small and unobtrusive
*Has "accidental activation prevention" - starts counting only if one makes at least 6 steps * counts distance (allows average step length input) *counts calories -the number is of course somewhat arbitrary but it takes into account one's weight, which is adjustable, and it still gives a ball park figure of calories burned - Cons: *does not keep in memory your personal step length and weight - requires input after each reset (may be I did not figured out how to do it - either way not a big con)
- Other Thoughts: Goood customer service from a vendor - easy to deal with on the phone.
Overall - would definitely buy it again when it's on sale
