awesome knife!
- Pros: assisted opening is fast and locks with a loud snap that's very intimidating, It's a solid pocket knife doesn't rattle an has a good weight to it and is very sharp right out of the package and it fits perfectly in my hand and my back pocket I carry this wherever I go, also the pocket clip can be unscrewed and reversed. the price tag on this knife is a great bargain!
- Cons: none so far it's a knife..

- Pros: -Like pretty much all musha/musashi words,fantastic value
-Amazing cutter for sub $150,it begs to keep cutting anything you throw at it,tatami with ease
-1060 steel
-Real hamon
-Lightweight,and balanced
-True bo-hi
-Full tang,battle ready - Cons: -Cheap fittings,fully functional,but they look cheap
-Tsuba rattles a bit (my only musashi that does this)
-More flex then i thought it would have,not totally a negative,just not expected
-They claim the rayskin is real,but i seriously doubt it
-Saya is nice and shiny for the price point,but a tad looser then i prefer
- Other Thoughts: sadly this particular one that i received was shoddy compared to my other shirikawa that has no-hi,so i had to request an rma
it was sold by sale axis,and they have been a nightmare to deal with regarding the rma...phone reps spoke little to poor english,and emails have been very confusing to follow
honestly,the whole shirakawa line is unreal for the price,hence why they are sold out almost everywhere,but like anything you get a great deal on,you also risk getting something defective.
Being that i own another katana from the same line,and 2 others from mushashi i can say that the value for the dollar they offer is unbeatable,but this particular one i received just wasn't up to the normal standards musashi offers.

- Pros: -True damascus steel,forged over 1060 steel base,fantastic quality for the price
-Razor sharp,far sharper then both my Shirikawa line,including the well reviewed "bamboo"
-Great balance overall,regardless of price range
-Very durable
-Unbeatable light/medium cutter in the sub $300 range
-Tight fittings no wiggle,feels like a solid metal extension to your arm
-Truly a full tang,this sword is ready,and eager to cut right out of the box - Cons: -Other then the damascus process and the sharpness,it's the same as the shirikawa series,but more then twice the price
-Finish on the blade is minimal,hardly any shine
-Like most sub $300 katanas,alot of cheap feel on the aesthetics of the fittings,rayskin,and pegs
- Other Thoughts: fantastic katana for the price,same aesthetics as shirikawa,and overall very close to the same sword....but this blade wants to cut and cut more then any of my other swords.
if you want the cheapest decent cutter you can get,then get a shirikawa for sub $100,but if u want the overall best sub $300 katana,then this is you best bet.

- Pros: Amazing value for 1060 steel,you will not be able to get any sword of this quality from anyone else but Musashi/Musha at the sub $150 price point
Same blade as the well renowned Musashi "Bamboo" as well as the whole Shirikawa series
Real Hamon (temper line)
Good balance
Very durable
Craves light/medium cutting
Cruised through full tatami mat,making multiple cuts,even on recovery swings
Nice glossy shine on both blade and saya - Cons: No Bo-Hi (blood groove),i personally prefer a Bo-Hi,as it makes the sword lighter and gives it a cool "swooshing" sound when swung
Cheap fittings,and pegs....once again fully functional,just not great quality
Lack of options on saya/ito color,simple cheap thing that could add a ton more value to the item,with no additional cost to the company
- Other Thoughts: the cons are really minor to be honest,just wanted to be as honest as possible

Broke the first use
- Pros: Sleek design, good weight.
- Cons: Each knife broke during the first use - within the first 20 throws. The design was good, but these knives exhibited a complete and total failure of the heat treatment process which resulted in them breaking at the point where the blade and handle meet.
- Other Thoughts: Would not purchase these knives again

- Pros: Amazing. Absolutely amazing. The carbon-fiber handle scales are beautiful. The CPM-S30V edge is holding nicely. The blade size and shape is perfect for everyday needs. The lockup on the blade is strong and there is absolutely no play in the blade when locked. The best EDC (Every day carry) knife I own.
- Cons: Honestly, none that I can think of. The price, perhaps, but the Spyderco Sage is worth every single penny.
- Other Thoughts: If you are even remotely into knives, and can afford it, do not hesitate. The Spyderco Sage is a must-have for any knife collector/user.

Surprisingly solid
- Pros: Cast 440c axe, what else do you need to know!? Very unusual steel to use but so far, it has held up and performed very well.
- Cons: 440c is not anywhere near as tough as a good carbon steel, but for light use tasks, this axe will definitely perform well.
