Pros: This low cost unit has exceeded my expectations. I took advantage of a combo deal that Newegg was offering, which resulted in a considerable savings over the initial unit I have running in a ThinkServer 440. All of the units I've received contain the Phison controller. Performance has been more than adequate within the myriad of scenarios I've put the unit through. Unit has been rock solid, and I'm looking forward toward using four of these in a "hand me down" enterprise-class server.
Cons: The concerns that were previously raised with a silent SSD controller change by the manufacturer would be the only con. While not applicable to my use case, it is something to consider.
Other Thoughts: There are many other offerings out there for price sensitive niches. Actual use case for the SSD is always a factor in making a purchasing choice. I've had very good luck with the Silicon Power S60 line, and look forward to potentially procuring more in the future if the price is right.

Pros: When I first installed this SSD with Windows 7 X64 it would boot into Windows before the Windows logo squares even completed! I was very impressed. Now it is a bit slower which I contribute to all the Windows upgrades. However my UEFI/Bios takes longer than my SSD boot time.
Cons: The cons of this drive are that just about every other program I have installed on this drive do NOT function properly. I installed Office to it. Every time I opened an Office program it would run the "Preparing Office for First Use" screen. I uninstalled Office and put it on my regular HD, no issues since. Next was Plex Media Server. Every time I ran this program for a second time without a reboot it would either loose connection with my server or say that my ethernet was too slow. A reboot would fix this problem. Again I uninstalled this program too and reinstalled to my regular HD no issues since. I have had many problems with games as well. I was told by Samsung support that it Must Be My Windows Install Being Corrupt. So I reinstalled Windows. Again same problem with other applications. My firmware and Samsung Magician are all up to date. I have so far installed Windows to my SSD a total of Three Times. When I told this to Samsung support the guy essentially called me a Liar by saying "I find that very hard to believe"
Other Thoughts: Samsung has offered to replace this drive with a refurbished one. But they will NOT cross ship. meaning that I have to buy another HD to move Windows onto as my 2TB HD does not have enough room or go with out a computer.

This is the first time I have used a SSD for a boot drive. I had always read about how fast these drives are and this one does not disappoint. In fact its faster then I could imagine it being. From a full shutdown, I can start up the computer and be ready to open programs in literraly 30s. It's that fast, from pushing the power button on to the screen coming to life, you are already looking at your login screen (I use a pw). Once typed in you hit enter and poof.. your looking at your desktop.
I will never again use a normal drive for a bootdrive.
Definitly recommend to anyone.
Cons: Havn't found any Cons yet... I suppose the only thing is in hind sight I wish I spent the little extra and got a 250gig. The 120 fits all my start up programs etc, but with the size of new programs I would have liked to have a little extra room on the drive. Im using 80 gigs of the 120 gig drive.

Pros: takes a middling performer laptop and turns it into a burner. I used the included tools to migrate from a 5400rpm 256GB drive to this 256GB SSD. Worked fine after I upgraded to the latest version. -easy to install -Easy to migrate fast as blazes
Cons: software on the included CD was out of date by a full version. The migrate tool did not work. I downloaded the latest from Samsung, and it worked fine.
Other Thoughts: I was able to play a few games that previously pegged the HD at 100% utilization continuously. Now they use about 1-2% of the SSD capabilities. Finally the CPU can be the bottleneck.
