Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Easy to use.
Pros: Was expecting some issues with older games, Sims 3 etc., not working with Windows 8 but it has been working fine! Even installed my old Black and White 2 and it's been running without any problems. So far haven't had any glitching or bad experiences.
Cons: The only thing I've noticed is from time to time my disk usage goes up really high for a few seconds making things run slowly for a moment but it always comes back down. Don't know why this is, probably windows running things in the background. But overall have had great luck with this OS.

Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3Rating + 3 WIndows 7 Pro
Pros: Windows works for most things, even dual screen, and programming.
Cons: Windows is slow to load and its programs like Word are also slow. Windows is also more expensive than Linux and prone to BSOD (Blue Screen Of Death). It is difficult to disable features such as Internet Explorer and Media Player, which are just too much trouble to use. Recently, I have noticed that every down load wants to automatically update and add a screen saver, this is a way into your system without you being aware that these programs are monitoring your computer use. I think Windows could do a better job of protecting the consumer by not allowing things through the Firewall, except that they also monitor all your use. These problems are not as prevalent in other operating systems Apple, Chrome, Android, all based in Linux (well maybe not Apple). Windows was an innovator and industry leader, but recently they have impeded growth by forcing the use of Direct X and their own proprietary software for Xbox. In a industry that is grow or die, the next big markets are India and China. Google, Apple and Linux are poised to grow into these markets while Windows pricing policy will prevent them from any further growth and they will be the next "BlockBuster Video". Too big to change, too big to fail.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 Great price on sale
Pros: Very easy to use and worked as intended
Cons: Had trouble with the install saying it was not a generic copy. Called Microsoft and they were able to take care of it right away.
Other Thoughts: If installing windows you might want to do it on the weekdays during newegg business hours to get product service for any problems

Pros: It has a nice box
Cons: It won't work. The boot up says that the computer is unexpectedly restarting and won't install. I regret purchasing this item.

Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5Rating + 5 One of Microsoft's Best
Pros: Resource Monitor made it easier for IT to monitor system attributes.
Clean Aero interface that wasn't an eyesore to look at.
Shake and snap makes it very easy to turn any widescreen monitor into a dual screen.
Supported with 6 years worth of updates and still counting.
Reformatting is much easier with windows updates finding drivers. Barely had to download them myself, although it is recommended to get them from manufacturer's website.
Layered IE8 makes it easy to alternate between sites when minimized.
Still has Start button (teaser comment)
Windows media center provided a nice free EPG before Hulu and Netflix became standards and cut-the-cable became a thing.
Easy to use for layer 8 users.
Cons: Aero interface is bulky and requires a lot of system resources.
Doesn't run too good on OEM hardware pre-2007/2008.
Much better virus track record than XP, but still get the occasional fake Windows messages and hard drive hijacks. Granted any OS with high market share will be a target, but still a nuisance when your uncle calls you at 3AM because "windows wants $400 dollars to "repair" my hard disk"".
Other Thoughts: Since day one, I knew that I had to replace my XP installs with Windows 7 and gradually did. I am still a Linux fanboy, but there are still a ton of things that Windows can do over linux and Mac. If I had to choose (until 10 comes out later this year), Windows 7 would be my OS of choice on any home.

Pros: Slick interface, reliable, comes with Hyper-V which is great for virtual machines.
Cons: The new start screen may take some getting used to if you're coming from Windows 7 or Vista. But it's not that much of a leap.

Pros: It's windows 8.1 as advertised
Cons: It's not in the retail packaging like the description says. The activation key is extremely tiny and hard to read. Also, it took over 2 weeks to arrive.

Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4Rating + 4 It's Windows 7
Pros: Microsoft, UEFI install-able, Legacy install-able. Boot-able CD
Cons: Microsoft, Requires DVD drive, small product key font.
Other Thoughts: Good OS and worth the time to upgrade from Windows XP, especially if your system is a 64 bit OS. Supports touch screen interface. UEFI bios. Good to have for downgrading Windows 8 systems.
