Pros: Well yes its better than 7 and 8.1 and great for gaming....
Cons: After installing my new motherboard it said my windows was no longer active and I would have to buy a new key or down grade. Ended up downgrading. I mean why should I have to buy another key just for fixing my computer its 100% bull... So be very careful when upgrading and be prepared for microsofts rep say "Thats to bad theres nothing we can do" excuse.
Other Thoughts: Besides that happening its a pretty good OS. But I'll be on win 7 till the price comes down

Pros: Good install and easy. Installed it 2 time and the second time did a custom install to remove a few features I didn't want to use. For me this is a great OS, like it better than Windows 8.1 and Windows 7.
Cons: None yet.

Pros: The clean install without upgrade downloads DirectX 12 !!!! (If you play games this is a MUST!!!!) Easy interface Has all the bells and whistles for most Hardware out of the box FAST booting with SSD at least ;) Faster than 7 or 8 Built in antivirus
Cons: Expensive Many uninformed users cry about what they don't yet understand so the reviews are skewed for this product.
Other Thoughts: If your into gaming DirectX12 is the future. FACT: Right now most of your games only use a maximum of 2 cores CPU to run. DirectX12 changes that dramatically. All future high resolution, high frame rate games will be on DX12!

Pros: The only pro is that i can write a negative review
Cons: I have to buy this for a new motherboard and cpu and it makes me feel like im just throwing money away. i selected both 32 and 64 versions cuz i paid for it, but that wasn't the reason why the downloader froze up. 4 hours later and multiple tries at re-starting the app i saw a window that said there was an error with it and i should restart my computer. it worked after that, but im so mad microsoft keeps bothering me with things like "you need a new license" just for a motherboard? or " getting a few things ready" only to stare at that screen for hours cuz they aren't getting things ready.
Other Thoughts: im glad it finished downloading.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had any major problems with Windows 10. I have it installed on my custom built desktop. Only problem I have with it is the sound will go out, and I will have to reboot the computer for it to start working again. I also have it installed on my Asus Transformer. No problems with it, boots up within seconds.

Pros: Fast. Clean Interface. Touch Screen ready (Still more of a future thing at this point) Microsoft app store makes it easy for users to find and download software. As a tech, I never had this problem, but I can see support calls being a lot easier as the store begins to populate. Removed the dreaded GUI start screen. Task Manager Looks nicer than 7, but not too much of a jump from 8. As others have mentioned, the new hybrid shutdown/startup takes seconds to minutes off of boot time. This was implemented in Windows 8 however. At the moment, takes up much less disk space than 7. This will change though as more and more Windows 10 updates come out.
Cons: New start menu is bloated and confusing. App store still lacks content and the apps that it does contain are very inferior to Android and Ios alternative versions (just read the reviews before even downloading. Most users share their experience).
Other Thoughts: IE is not replaced by Edge. I have not tested it with webapps yet (probably wont until I work for a company that does), but they did keep the E as an icon so support calls will be easy when you ask (do you click an E, a globe with orange, or green, yellow, red, and a blue circle in the middle to get online). All in all, I will definitely upgrade all of my non-linux systems to Windows 10 when the time is right. As others have mentioned, upgrading from 7 can be very tough with driver support at the moment. Just be patient. When asked by family, I always recommend buying a new computer with 10 already on it, or holding out with 7 since we still have a year to upgrade.

Cons: This is just a note of caution for those who are considering the free W10 upgrade (from W7 or W8/8.1).
After taking the upgrade from W7 to W10 on a Clevo notebook, I found that my LAN no longer worked. So I uninstalled the LAN driver and reinstalled it and it didn't solve the issue. I then found that some of my programs would no longer open. I contacted the seller and after spending about an hour with tech support they were unable to solve the problem and suggested I call Microsoft. So I phoned Microsoft and they finally offered that it was a driver issue and suggested I revert back to W7 until Clevo offered W10 drivers for my specific model.
Before I did that, I contacted Clevo and they told me they had no specific time frame for delivering W10 drivers for earlier models (mine is 8 months old).
After reverting to W7, the LAN worked fine but some of the programs opened VERY slow. So I uninstalled and reinstalled them and they still would not run properly.
Finally, I just wiped the OS drive and did a fresh install of W7 plus drivers and everything is back to normal.
(Note: I have an older Clevo notebook (19 months old) and as a test I removed the OS drive, installed another one, did a fresh install of W7 and then did the free W10 upgrade -- and the same thing happened; the LAN would not work. Fortunately, all I had to do was reinsert the original drive.)
This issue may well be specific to Clevo products and their derivatives, but I am just passing this along to make people aware that the free W10 upgrade, on some computers, can cause problems.
That being said, W10 booted significantly faster than W7 (boot time went from 20 seconds to 14 on a Samsung 850 Pro SSD), and with my short experience, I believe I liked W10 a little better overall. I will try again when Clevo issues W10 drivers for their earlier notebooks.
Bottom line: If you plan to take the free W10 upgrade, I would strongly recommend creating a System Image backup prior to doing so, and/or -- clone your current OS drive and see how the W10 upgrade works on the cloned drive before installing it on your primary OS drive. As I stated earlier, my revision back to W7 did not turn out so well. It may also turn out that even with a fresh install from a W10 paid disc, your W7/W8 drivers may not be fully compatible with W10.

Cons: I tried for the longest time to get this installed. I have a brand new GA-Z170XP mobo, and i5 6600K so the hardware shouldn't be an issue? Anyway, after extensive web research, tinkering around with the bios, and removing every single usb/audio/video card device other than the mouse and keyboard I still couldn't get this to work.
I ended up buying windows 7 which installed on my first attempt. Wait to buy this until there is more support for the OS. In the meantime go with 7 or 8 as you get a free upgrade to 10 anyway.
