Only usable as Desktop Application
- Pros: Installed easily and detected my BD drive & HDMI automatically. Heavily invested in doing all manner of Non Blu-Ray Playback tasks.
- Cons: Unusable as a Media Center Plugin. Played movie shifted to the right and down so the menu was obscured and titles were cut off. There's no Remote Control support except Play/Pause/Stop. The rest of the things it does might be OK, but I will never know since I needed a Blu-Ray Player within Windwos Media Center.

Great HD quality
- Pros: I have used a few different products and while all of them worked fairly well, this one gave me the best quality picture being able to do bluray. I recently bought a flatscreen and the HD makes for a great picture. I have not tried it on other devices only on the TV. The software is comprehensive and does get the job done. I own several 123 products and I am a fan of them.
- Cons: I think that waiting time can be a little annoying but it's not too bad.

Update
- Pros: Update:
-Will record pc gameplay if you run windowed fullscreen
-Makes beautiful videos at 15000kbps bitrate, I didn't try lower but I did notice 1500kbps was terrible. - Cons: -Everyone that owns two radeon cards and runs crossfire know that if you run windowed it will disable one gpu, so running one card to record sucks.
- Other Thoughts: I don't know what changes when you run full screen but this definitely needs to be fixed, this is a terrible issue.
I bumped it to 3 stars since it does work for the most part on pc and seems like it should work very well on consoles.
I bought it for pc though so I will probably get the AVerMedia Live Gamer HD so i can run both of my graphics cards.

Won't record most PC games
- Pros: -Should record your console?
- Cons: -All I get are blue screens with most full screen games, and the program minimizes my games when I go full screen windowed.
- Other Thoughts: Just garbage, can't return it so it or even RMA it with the manufacturer so it looks like I get to put it on that "auction site".
Basically even within 30days if you have an issue with the hardware not working properly, you might as well just throw it away since no one will take it back or allow you to RMA it.
I won't be buying anything Roxio again.

Works Great with Windows 8
- Pros: Does everything with ease with Windows 8 64bit. Very user friendly. Installs on all your machines multiple times without hassle using the keycode. I am a Nero fan.
- Cons: Vista 32bit does not work as well with all features.
- Other Thoughts: I highly recommend to all users novice and expert.

Does all I need
- Pros: For somebody who doesn't have the time/money to invest in After Effects (mainly time), this is an excellent alternative. It offers several great plugins and the UI is easy to follow and just as easy to customize. For somebody who isn't the best with finicky video editing software, it's a no-brainer.
- Cons: In my effort to try and think of something, I've only come up with the fact that there is no built-in tool for rotoscoping, an effect which can transform any video from so-so to professional looking. There are workarounds though, so I can't complain too much, and you get what you pay for I suppose. Also I would've preferred more object-based animation options.
- Other Thoughts: Again, I don't have the patience to deal with After Effects, Photoshop alone is enough CS for me haha, so this is fantastic. It does (almost) everything I would want or need in video editing software, and is an excellent tool for enthusiasts such as myself.

Not sure what everyone else was looking for!
- Pros: -Upscales newer DVDs very well
-Media center like hub was a nice attempt
-True Theater
-Worked extremely great with 5.1 emulated surround sound. - Cons: -Integrates their own store and an imdb alternative service (not theirs) into the program. This can become annoying if you just want to load a movie and be done with it, but I can see why they are doing all of this.
-Blu-ray issues?
- Other Thoughts: Although I do not use this for blu-ray, I do notice that support for it is iffy with older versions (with a new one every year, this will be an older version very quickly). The market and movie rating integration was a nice attempt, but is very annoying considering there are so many free alternatives out there without the annoying bloat. Not going to lie, I only bought this because it was a $10 shell shocker and I am happy with that, but If I paid $50 for this when it first came out, I would want my $$ back. True Theater is awesome and it upscales standard DVDs like no other program, but I feel like the price is raised because of all of those features that no one really uses.
Overall I love this program and I recommend anyone to grab an older version from the bargain bin whenever they get the chance.

bad disk
- Pros: none
- Cons: disk will not load and now i am out the cost of the disk. cyberlink customer service will not give you a phone number to call unless you pay them $30 dollars for phone support---REALLY---- C-mon>>>> DONT BUY THIS>>>>>>
- Other Thoughts: I wish i had tried to install before the 30 days was up but it was foe new build and i didnt have put togeather yet

- Pros: Price
- Cons: Some what complicated, confusing, for me, but after practice, its better.
- Other Thoughts: I noticed that this item is on sale real cheap. I paid more, but it is worth what I did pay, here at N E. I checked out the video here , and went to u tube and looked at many more videos on this. Only thing is, none of them indicate the level of the program, standard,, etc. The videos were clear about one thing, it requires hit or miss to figure out the options. I admit Im older and slower about this stuff, but Im trying.
