Very nice camera
- Pros: -Very high resolution, maybe too high.
-It's got a built in usb connector, no cables necessary.
-It's got a ton of options and settings.
-Video + image for a very low price.
-Photos are dramatically improved by using 'auto tone' in photoshop. (This might be more of a photoshop thing though)
-LCD screen is really bright and detailed.
-You can transfer images/videos directly to pc. - Cons: -usb connector is extremely short, need an extension if you don't want it sitting directly on top of your usb port.
-Images are kinda grainy, but can be fixed with 'auto tone' from photoshop.
-Didn't come with memory card. Will not work without memory card, period.
-Built in software doesn't work when plugged into computer, only works when not plugged in which makes the software pointless.
-Also, video/images are encrypted so you can't just find it by opening up the drive.
- Other Thoughts: -Although the software that comes in is useless (for windows 7 anyway), you can still extract images and photos using the default windows 7 popup options.
-This device has its setbacks, but the pros outweigh the cons, and at this price range I cannot complain at all. It is well worth the money, if you haven't already gotten yourself a high quality cam.

Car Cam
- Pros: This is a great inexpensive camera that has a lot of nice features. The camera does a great job of recording and the audio is nice.
- Cons: Could use a polarized lens filter to remove dashboard glare
- Other Thoughts: I am still experimenting with this camera but so far it has been working great. Just don't forget to take it off the windshield when leaving the car as the LCD screen cannot take the 120 degree heat of the sun.

- Pros: plastic, cheap, light flashes gets hot, does little else
- Cons: never did function in any capacity other than getting hot and flashing the light. serveral online instructables yield that mine was rubbish from the get go.

Broke 1st time in water
- Pros: Works great outside of water
- Cons: Not very waterproof in water
- Other Thoughts: I bought this item for my families vacation since we were going snuba diving in The Cayman Islands. I got underwater turned on the camera and within 4min of video recording the screen filled with water and the camera crapped out. Very upset i was only about to use it for 4 min underwater, i never went more than 10' under the water which is nowhere near 16.4' which i should of been able to refurbished or not.

Good
- Pros: Decent Picture, Price, Preview Screen, Easy to Use
- Cons: Bike Mounting Bracket is ODD, Distortion from Waterproof Case (vibration)
- Other Thoughts: I just received this last night so on the bike it went. The first issue was the bike mount is very small, I can't imagine having a bar that small on an adult bike. I had to peel back some bar tape but it finally went on. Then the second issue, the mount is facing sideways, as if it should be mounted on the stem. There is no way that will fit there. I liked that I could get it set up before riding with the screen. The picture is good for the price. On 720p I was able to get almost an hour of video with an 8gb micro sd card (nonHC). Easy to set up and use once on a ride. I did get some distortion (fish eye) in the center of the video I'm guessing due to vibration of the camera in the waterproof housing so I will try it on the helmet mount and see if the bar mount is just too ridged a setup, or place additional foam in the case to make it more snug. I just can’t see paying 4x this amount for a G* Pr* when all it is for is fun. If you want the ability to catch your friends doing something dumb, or G*d forbid the license plate of a harassing motorist this should do the trick. I cannot believe that the system kicked back my review due to the word G*d being offensive! This may be the last item I buy from Newegg given that policy, and some of the other reviews I have read on products over the past several years. REDICULOUS

Kodak ZX5 Playsport HD Waterproof Pocket Video Camera. Black
great little camera but some annoying faults
- Pros: - It's a rugged camera I can carry in places I would not carry my dSLR's or point-and-shoot: mountain biking, trail running, at the beach or in the desert (where sand can ruin other cameras), and in the rain.
- It takes surprisingly good pictures, at least in sunshine, and adequate pictures indoors.
- Battery life is good: 2 hours 9 minutes when shooting full HD and 2 hours 30 minutes when shooting WVGA with a 32GB SDHC card (with a 8GB card, full HD recording stops at 1 hour 28 minutes even though the SDHC card is only about 60% full)
- Locking doors for USB/HDMI and SD card are cleverly and effectively designed (but apparently too clever for some owners, who resort to breaking them to open them)
- Simple, intuitive user interface
- Bright LCD screen that is usable even in direct sunlight
- Nice, functional feel to the camera's body - Cons: - Non-removable battery
- Digital zoom only
- No lens cap
- No live view - you can't send a feed over an HDMI or USB cable to an external monitor
- No external audio port
- Other Thoughts: In researching this camera, the most common complaint I read about it is locking up; however this was fixed with a firmware update. My ZX5, which I bought in April 2013, came with the firmware update already installed. You can tell which version of the firmware your ZX5 has by clicking Setup and selecting "About". If the Camera Firmware Version is 1.06, you have the updated firmware.
A surprisingly common complaint is people not being able to open the USB/HDMI and SD card doors. Kodak made a design error here. They should have put arrows on the case showing which way to slide the locks to open them. It's not obvious, but if you know how to do it, it does work very well, far better than the doors on my waterproof Pantech Element tablet.
The first ZX5 I received was defective - it wouldn't install Kodak's Arcsoft software and wouldn't let me view the contents of the folder where it was supposed to be installed (using Windows Explorer). I don't intend to use the software, but I was concerned that it might indicate other problems that might surface later, so I got a replacement, which is fine.
I decided that the ZX5's faults were serious enough that I couldn't use it for the purposes for which I bought it (conducting field interviews), so I ordered a Panasonic DMC-SZ7 to replace it, but I liked the Kodak so much that I kept it to use as a portable camera that I can carry with me no matter what the conditions.
I love this camera. It has its faults and limitations, but overall it's a great camera for anyone who wants to be able to carry a camera while mountain biking, trail running, and under conditions that would menace most other cameras.

Unbelievable - literally
- Pros: Seems like great value for the price. I thought it was too good to be true - turns out I was right!
- Cons: This is supposed to be Water, Shock and Dust proof.
Well, I have had it in my hands for 2 days and I read all the instructions and warnings to make sure I was using it correctly and safely. I took it to the pool - a very clean water environment - to video my kids swimming, and after less than 5 minutes in and out of shallow water, it stopped working.
I left it on a towel in the breeze to dry and had a look - and I saw condensation in the lens! What the... This is a factory refurb, but still if done in the factory should be as good as new (sure looks new).
At this point I'm very disappointed. I have videos to make and was going to use this as a second position camera and now I can't do dual camera shoot. This really is annoying and I'll be asking for a full refund. You can't refurb a refurb! It's like polishing ....

Great gift overall
- Pros: Very durable. I understood this product to be waterproof . The gift recipient was excited to find that it also takes underwater pictures!
- Cons: Refurbished did not include a charging adapter.
- Other Thoughts: For Quality price and fast free shipping a great deal even without an included adapter.

Better options out there
- Pros: Small, sturdy build.
- Cons: Picture quality is lacking to say the least. Had better quality on a 1.3 mega pixel POV camera. Constant banging noise in background. Support says unit is defective and to return to vendor. Neither VEHO or savings mall will pay for shipping to return this item. Very disappointed as this is in no way to do business for your own defective products.
