Every product on Newegg's site has both a product review and an "egg" rating (between 1-5 eggs), the higher the rating, the higher the quality of the product as perceived by Newegg's customers. The egg rating displayed next to a product is the average of all ratings for that particular item and can only be selected after a customer has given a review.
Reviews consist of an overall rating for the product along with "Pros," "Cons," and insightful "Other Thoughts." Additionally, reviewers are asked to state how long they have owned the product and what their technical understanding of it is, which helps to substantiate their opinions.
