Newegg Announces Key Management Hires

CITY OF INDUSTRY, Calif -- Newegg.com, a leading online computer, consumer electronics, and communications product superstore, announced today its recent hiring of four senior executives. Joining the leadership team are: Bernard Luthi, Vice President of Merchandising; Rick Quiroga, Vice President of Finance; Ron L. Bester, Vice President of Consumer Electronics and Purchasing; and Ed Johnson, Vice President of Human Resources.

New Leadership Brings Extensive Knowledge to Newegg.com
Bernard Luthi, newly appointed Vice President of Merchandising, will lead the strategic development of Newegg's Merchandising team. Luthi brings a wealth of experience in forging strong customer and manufacturer relationships, building high performing teams, and identifying growth opportunities from his prior positions at Ingram Micro and most recently PC Mall where he was Vice President of Category & Vendor Marketing.
Rick Quiroga has joined Newegg as Vice President of Finance. Quiroga brings extensive experience in the finance world from senior management positions at Earthlink where he played a key role in their Initial Public Offering and from his prior role as VP of Finance with the Innova Group, a NASDAQ listed apparel company. Quiroga will be responsible for driving Newegg's implementation plans, expand Newegg's corporate infrastructure to support growth plans and assisting with strategic planning, accounting and corporate finance.
Ron L. Bester joins Newegg as Vice President of Consumer Electronics and Purchasing. Bester is responsible for advancing Newegg's sales revenues, establishing new markets, and developing new vendor relationships. His experience within the computer and online retail industries will bring key knowledge into Newegg's Product Management Team. Most recently Mr. Bester served as Vice President and Director of Sales and Marketing at Buy.com
Ed Johnson joined Newegg recently as Vice President, Human Resources. Johnson's background includes more than 25 years in Human Resources in a variety of industries, preceded by nine years in manufacturing operations and production & inventory control. Prior to joining Newegg, Johnson held several senior HR positions with Solectron, a Fortune 250 electronics contract manufacturer, and most recently was the VP HR for Quest Software, a $500M global software company.
