In its December 2008 issue, Consumer Reports, a major independent research organization, ranked Newegg as the best place to buy computers online. In a separate survey, Keynote Competitive Research gave Newegg.com the highest score in Site Reliability, while Nielsen Online confirmed Newegg’s longstanding position among the top 10 computers and consumer electronics retailers in the U.S., in year-over-year growth of unique visitors.

Consumer Reports rankings are based on responses from more than 50,000 subscribers, covering new desktop and laptop computers purchased between January 2007 and June 2008. Responses are based on selection, price, service, return policies and restocking fees.
