I got this in 3 days and it has been great, my son in law had to borrow it for a week and love it. It was quiet running and he love to be able to run on Propane gas and ran over 20 hrs per tank(20lb).

After RMA, since the the first heater can't meet set point, the second one works perfectly. FAO phone help desk is helpful and Melissa , their Claims Analyst did the rest. Thanks.

Rating + 4 Problems in Extreme Cold

I bought this generator for emergency backup. (I don't intend to use it otherwise.) When I received the unit, here in Utah, the highs were in the 20's and lows around 0.
I assembled, and attempted to start it using propane. No Luck! My neighbor couldn't start it.
After several phone calls to the seller, it was determined that because the temperature was below 40 degrees the propane didn't have enough pressure to start the generator, and the tech guy suggested I use gasoline to get it started and then switch to propane. (Wrong! I don't want to use gas unless absolutely necessary.) So we carried the unit, and propane bottle, into the house. The next day I opened the patio door and backed the unit up to it (pointing the exhaust out of the house) and after a few pulls on the rope it started.
My plan now is to store the unit (no propane) in the basement to keep it warm until needed, if ever!
Tech support is good. Unit has issues in extreme cold with propane.

11/22 - Roomba 770 delivered instead
11/22 - requested RMA
11/25 - no RMA, reported marketpace problem to Newegg
12/4 - RMA issued
12/6 - sent the item back via UPS at Staples
12/10 - notified seller of the item being with UPS and tracking number
12/13 - item arrived to seller
12/18 - requested RMA update
12/19 - reminded seller to update RMA and refund the shipping expenses
12/20 - no RMA update; notified Newegg of marketplace problem
12/30 - no news from either the seller or Newegg; online chat with Newegg representative: don't worry, if there is an RMA, there will be a refund
1/2/14 - email from Newegg that my return was successfully delivered to warehouse
1/6 - refund received from Newegg only for the amount of the original purchase, even though the seller promises refund of shipment expenses due to their error
Bottom line: close two months of struggle with $500 out of my accounts during this time and down $32 in UPS charges at the end.

RMA Policy
    General Return and Refund Policy
    Our return policy gives you 30 days from the shipping date to return any product, provided it's new, unused and in the original packaging as received or defective. We highly recommend that the buyer thoroughly inspect the purchased product before using it and also ensure the user of the product is familiar with the correct application and proper care. If an item is opened and deemed to be defective within 30 days from the shipping date return the item to Max Tool with the proper RMA number and Max Tool will replace it with an identical item or a full store credit will be issued upon approval of the return. If a refund is requested a 15% restocking charge will be accessed upon approval of the return. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. We cannot accept returns for any reason after 30 days from the shipping date.

    Max Tool will only pay the return shipping costs if the return is a direct result of our error (you received an incorrect item) and re-ship the correct item at no charge.

    All "Free Shipping Offers" will be charged a normal shipping charge before a refund is issued. If the return of a product or products causes the original order to fall below the free shipping threshold the remaining items and returned items will be billed for the normal shipping charges.

    All shipping charges "ground or express" are non-refundable.

    All free gifts must be returned before a credit will be processed or Max Tool will deduct the value of the gifts from the refund.

    All manufacturers' warranties will prevail.

    Warranty shall not apply to: products which are used for a purpose other than which they were designed for or which have been altered in any way that would be detrimental to the performance or life of the product. Misapplication, misuse, negligence will revoke the warranty.

    All DuroMax generators and engines have a 30 day replacement warranty and carry a full 1 year parts warranty. Parts are no charge during the warranty period and freight charges are the responsibility of the customer. Return shipping is the responsibility of the buyer. All shipping damages must be claimed with the designated shipper. Check the unit for damage before signing the bill of lading or delivery receipt.

    All returns are subject to our approval and must be accompanied by an RMA issued by a Max Tool representative in order to be processed. All orders returned without the RMA number will be accessed a charge of $15.00.

    Refunds
    When we have received and processed your return, we will send you an email confirmation. Refunds take 5 to 7 business days to show a credit on your credit card. The credit will be for the amount of the merchandise ordered after any freight or restocking charges.
RMA instructions
    1. Log onto your Newegg.com account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 ¨C 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
    5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
