Rating + 4 Broken bulbs/ second order

This was my first order of twelve bulbs from though NewEgg. This order came through FedEx ans USPS without breakage. The second order of ten had a broken box and two broken bulbs in their blister packs and peanuts. They were singe boxed, but I blame the carriers FedEx and USPS, probably FedEx, because USPS marked the box as damaged before delivery. The box was all but destroyed.
I kept eight bulbs and called about the other two. I didn't realize I was getting NewEgg on the phone, but they offered $10.00 for the two bulbs which I accepted. I should have held out for a little more as the bulbs were $5.89 each plus a share of the shipping, but easier than taking the claim any further.
I kept the good bulbs because it was such a good price and the bulbs are perfect for the three banks of vanity lights . They were also saying they were now out of the bulbs.
I have since ordered four more from through someone else for the same price.
If it weren't for the damage, I would have given five stars. Obviously, I would order again, as I have already. Over all the service was excellent, speed was good and as I said, the bulbs are perfect for the 25 W replacement. They are also whiter than I expected.

Part was not what I needed. My fault. They refunded my return, less the shipping cost. I also paid shipping to return it. 4 stars as they could have refunded the shipping for the initial delivery. They did not.

Rating + 1 Deceptive seller manipulating return policy

I purchased a string of SUPPOSEDLY purple lights for year round decoration. The photo was extremely misleading, as the lights are actually PINK. They consider the lights a "holiday" item, and thus are not subject to return even though the product description is an outright lie. What "holiday" would anybody be celebrating with purple lights, in FEBRUARY?? If you're not going to honor returns on "holiday" items, you should only be allowed to sell them in the 3 months before Christmas. How's that for a new rule??? Didn't think so.

    Authorized Returns:
    -All returns must be authorized and include our provided Return #
    -Arrangement and cost for returning items to eLightBulbs is the responsibility of the customer
    -Items must be in original packaging and in working condition
    -Must be requested within 30 days of arrival
    -Will be processed with a 20% restock fee (shipping not refunded)

    Non-Authorized Returns:
    -Any non-authorized return will automatically be processed with a 40% restock fee. Additionally, all fees incurred by eLightBulbs due to a refused delivery will be withheld from the refunded amount.

    Return Exceptions:
    -Due to their seasonal nature, we do not accept returns on Christmas / Holiday / Event items

Return Instruction
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
    5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
