I bought a Gechic On-Lap 1302 monitor and I love it! I use it with my Mac Mini when I travel and it performs great! Nice and thin and light! The company has been very helpful with customer service and helpful!!!

Rating + 2 Wear and Tear item

I sent an inquiry to GeChic with concern about the HDMI cable failing in less than one year. It took two emails before receiving a response that the cable required to make this work is considered a "wear & tear" item. The GeChic support rep emailed me a link to purchase a replacement cable. It would be helpful to have this information prior to the purchase of this second monitor accessory. I went ahead and purchased the replacement cable and now have a working screen. Still, I am very disappointed in the build quality of the supplied cable. We shall see how long the replacement lasts.

It took me some time to figure out how to get this working. I am not very tech savvy. It worked well, but the buttons on the front of the monitor did not work. I could not turn it on and off or use any of the buttons to make adjustments to brightness etc.

The green blocks that are supposed to hold the monitor are worthless. You definitely need another way to stand it up.

I returned my monitor because of he button issue.

    If you are not completely satisfied, we will gladly accept returns within 30 days from receipt of merchandise.
    An RMA number must be requested following below return instruction within 30 days of the delivery date.
    As your request, we will issue you a credit back to your account, or replacement the merchandise.
    Returned or exchanged merchandise must in its exact original condition, including all packaging, accessories and manuals.
    Shipping and handling fees are the costs of us sending the product to you and will not be refunded unless the item is defective.
    In the event an item is sold with "free shipping", we will refund the amount of sale.
    Units that are found to be physically damaged due to abusive usage or mishandling by buyer or missing components will be returned to the buyer at the buyers expense.
    Please allow up to 7 business days after we receive the package for your return/exchange/refund to be processed.
    We strongly recommend you to contact the manufacture customer support before the defective item return process.

    Basic Criteria:
    All returns must include the following:
    * Original Condition
    * All accessories
    * Manuals, warranty registration, etc.
    * Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) obtained from site or customer service for the correct product and not yet expired

    Check the Special Returns Policy below to see if it applies to your return. If not, then the following Basic Returns Policy applies:
    (1) An RMA number included Damaged/DOA (Dead On Arrival) /Defective shipments must be requested within (30) days of the delivery date. Shipping and handling fees are the costs of us in sending you the product and will not be refunded. In the event an item is sold with "free shipping", we will refund the amount of sale.
    (2) All returns with missing part (including, but not limited to, original manufacturer packing materials) will not be processed until the part is received.
    (3) Customer is responsible for return shipping expenses unless the item is defective/ damaged. Replacements will be shipped at our expense.
    (4) Upon our acceptance of the merchandise in like new condition in strict conformance with the basic criteria and basic returns policy, the purchase price will be credited to the credit card used for the original purchase.
    (5) Refund will be issued after our warehouse receives, inspects, and processes your return.

Return Instruction
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
    5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
