Rating + 3 This is not a seller comment, but a Newegg one

Maybe it was carelessness on my part, but I recall seeing _no_ indication that the item was to be sold, and shipped, by a different seller. My expectation was that it was part of the same order as the system into which it would be installed, and the difference between expectation and reality (separate charges, time delay of a few days) meant that my expectations for deploying the system was not met. Probably my fault, but perhaps Newegg could do a better job of making it clear what is and is not sold directly by them.

Rating + 1 No response for stolen item

I had received a notification that the item had been delivered, but upon getting home it was nowhere to be found. I checked with everyone living around me, including the property owners but no one had seen it. I contacted newegg and they put me into contact with the seller who asked me to check with everyone else again. This was July 27th. It is now august 14th, and I have received ZERO response from the seller.

If you're not going to send me a replacement, that's fine. But at least tell me so I don't sit here waiting, twiddling my thumbs. At least if I know you're not going to send a replacement I would just go buy another.

Rating + 1 Inconsistent email communication, blatant price gouging, and mis-represented their own actions and stated policies

I feel like I was ripped off from this seller. I purchased 2 drives from them, and when both drives were used in raid they were consistently failing. I told them as much, and they said I could return them for a refund. I took that on faith, so I elected to purchase a single larger drive of the same type from them. Even though they were clearly charging way more than what was a fair price, I did so anyways, out of respect for their being gracious with the return of the first order.

Oh was I wrong. They emailed me with the status of the return being set as "item no longer needed." I corrected them on that in an an email again, and reminded them again on the status of at least one of the drives not being reliable. They said, "we'll test them we receive them."

Then two days later they told me the only received one of the drives. They were both sent in the same package! You literally could not touch one drive without seeing that the other was alongside with it.

By this point I decided I was done with them and just told them to do whatever they felt like doing, and I would do the same. I am asking Newegg to resolve the matter on my behalf. I feel like I should be eligible for a 100% refund on at least one of the drives.

The interesting thing to me is their pricing on the drives has increased *again*.

I really should have just purchased them from that other online retailer whose name starts with the letter A. Funny thing is, they sell the larger drive at $60 cheaper and even provide free shipping.

I believe I was fair and reasonable to the seller, and they did not return the favor to me. They may have stuck the drive in a test bench for 5 minutes to see if data could still be copied to it...and seeing that decided that I should give them 15% of the purchase price for their trouble.

Where is the consideration of my own favor to them of the purchase of the new order, and not intentionally causing the drives to fail before shipping them back? I feel like since they charged me a "restocking" fee that someone else would be buying the drives I sent back to them, so they are just going to be selling a problematic drive to someone else.

I'm probably jinxing myself for typing this. For all I know a bird is going to crash through my window tomorrow and make a nose dive to the computer causing it to fall over and the drive will be damaged as a result.

Cliff's version...seller is terrible. I'll never purchase from them again, and I doubt I would ever purchase from a third party seller either.

It was not stated clearly this was not an NVMe drive. It took over 1½ weeks to arrive. What happened to Newegg's great shipping. I would have returned the drive but it was too much trouble.

Rating + 1 Producted Shipped was NOT what was Ordered.

I specifically ordered this SD card because it was advertised as a 2GB SD (NOT SDHC) card. I found this card using Newegg's filters and filtered to remove SDHC cards and only display SD cards. The image even shows it as an SD card and not SDHC card. But the card I received was an SDHC card. I even paid extra for this card specifically for what I knew was a harder to find product because it was out dated. For the $8 I paid for the product, it is not worth shipping back. Obviously if someone is paying more for a smaller size SD card, they might have a reason for doing so. If you were out of the product, you should have checked with the customer to make sure they were okay with a substitution. Disappointed with the product and the seller.

I also noticed that after I received the product and went online to write a review that the product was marked as out of stock and had a price of $9,999.99. This leads me to believe the seller didn't have the product in the first place and just shipped the closest thing they had (or ran to a retailer and bought one), hoping the buyer wouldn't notice.

I also noticed by looking at the sellers comments that they are very rude to those writing the reviews. Excited to see response. From personal experience, I would recommend staying of Newegg Marketplace all together.

Return Instruction
