Rating + 1 Norelco Razor

Here is my experience -
February 19 - ordered razor ($89.95) - Visa was denied (fault of Visa)
February 20 - successfully ordered razor
February 21 - learned that NewEgg charged my Visa account twice (Feb. 19 and Feb. 20)
February 24 - received two packages with razors on same truck
February 25 - phoned NewEgg and was told to call the company that actually sold it to me - called that company and was transferred into voice mail (told to expect a restocking fee) - got on iSave and printed out RMA - paid $10.40 to UPS store to return one unopened box to iSave (was told by UPS that I would receive message when it arrived - this did not happen)
March 10 (13 days later) - received three messages from NewEgg of arrival of RMA item
March 11 - received message from NewEgg that my refund had been posted and it would be in my Visa account in 3-5 days
March 12 - refund appeared in Visa account
It took three full weeks to correct the error.

They sent a wrong item. I contacted cust service to try to allow them to make it right and get what I paid for. I waited 10-15 min in queue listening to me get closer to my turn in queue, only to be put on hold for 15-20 min as soon as someone answers to start with before they even knew what my issue was. Dudes explanation was he had someone ahead of me. Once the guy came back I explained the issue and that i was frustrated over the bad customer service. He was not empathetic or cared and said send it back to us and we will ship the correct one. When asked if they were covering the shipping for their mistake they said no that they do it via reimbursement to my paypal. I did not even use paypal so how would they know my paypal acct info. I asked for a supervisor because I was unsatisfied and the guy would not put one on the line, then put me on hold. I got an email to return the item while I was on hold and then the line dropped as the guy disconnected it. HORRIBLE and UNACCEPTABLE!!!!

Item shipped fast but decided to order a different model. Emailed to cancel order, undoubtedly when seller received my email they just ignored it and quickly marked the item shipped. 3 emails later for an RMA still no response. On hold first in que for 10 minutes and no answer. Thankfully paid with paypal.

Sent completely incorrect product, blamed it on the "new guy", put me on hold for over 15 minutes. no reason for sending incorrect product. in fact, they didn't even have the product i ordered in stock. so why was i able to purchase the product if it was not even stocked???
they just sent another product in place of it.

Rating + 1 A nickel's worth of free advice...

If I could rate this transaction at 0 eggs, I would. I would REALLY like to see New Egg set this system up for RED EGGS (or give the consumer the choice of changing the white egg to a cracked or ROTTEN egg) to visually reflect the true rating.

The BEST advice I can give here is to FIRST realize that New Egg allows other vendors to sell product on their site, but DO NOT WANT to take responsibility for negative outcomes. So, anything sold on this site that comes from a different vendor should ONLY be purchased thru PAYPAL. And, ALWAYS... ALWAYS view feedback for the offsite vendor... a mistake that I made. Had I first viewed this vendors feedback section, I could have avoided them altogether.

iSave (the offsite vendor) was literally useless. The product I ordered was NOT the product I rx'd. But had I not purchased thru PAYPAL, I would have incurred expenses such as return shipping and "restocking fees"... YIKES! And that's for something THEY did wrong!

Rating + 2 Bad Communication

Seller sent broken item, after numerous phone calls and emails directly to the seller, I had to request neweggs support in returning my equipment and getting the eller to send a rms and postage psid label, seller originslly said it would take a week for thre label, and sent only rma number and no label. Took over a month from date of receipt of broken merchandise to recieve label shipment ackknoledgement and refund. Wont by from ths seller again
