Rating + 1 terrible recovery service

Received the wrong item for my order. It took 3-mails to newegg to get approved for an RMA and then they pushed me off to the 3rd party seller, giving me their phone number and physical address. I was instructed to spend my own money to send the package back to the seller, which I did hoping they would refund me shipping costs. The seller's number did not work and I am tempted to go to the physical address and speak my mind. It's been over a month, several e-mails and unreturned phone calls and I still have no idea if I will be getting a refund or my correct package.

Rating + 1 Dishonest seller

Paid for the S3 Spigen Neo Hybrid case, they emailed me 3 days later saying it was shipped and had a tracking number that did not work. The next day, I got an email from newegg saying that an RMA was issued and approved, all while I was sleeping. I was never notified of what happened and had to call newegg to find out the seller issued the RMA with the tag "no longer needed". I looked everywhere for the case before finally deciding on newegg, then I pay and they held my money for 4 days before letting me know that I was never getting it.

RMA Policy
    Return/Exchange Policy:
    - All returns or exchanges are subject to approval.
    - Calculating refund:
    ~ Item(s) in its original condition, in new packaging: Full product price will be refunded.
    ~ Any item that is opened: 10% - 25% restocking fee depending on the item condition.
    ~ Any item that is used, is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 50% of item's price.
    - Items that are open and over 14 days from date of delivery, is eligible for exchanging to same item only.
    - Shipping, handling, and transaction fees are not refundable except if the return / exchange is a result of our error.
RMA instructions
    All returns require an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) number. All items returned without RMA number will be refused.

    All returns must include the following:

    1. Original packaging (manufacturer's box, plastic bags, etc.)
    2. Original intact UPC barcode. Removal of the UPC code voids eligibility of return regardless of RMA or credit request status.
    3. Valid RMA is REQUIRED on every return package. You can obtain the RMA number by contacting us at with your Invoice Number or Order Number.
    4. Original packing slip if applicable
    5. Complete accessories (antennas, remote controls, batteries, software disks, etc.)
    6. Manufacturer documentation (manuals, warranty cards, registration information, etc.)
