Comments: the item works as expected but the only problem I had was I get my mail at a po box does not accept a po box as a mailing address but the merchant uses usps as a shipping currier so that messed up my shipping info but I called the post office and caught the package before it was returned to sender cause the post office does not deliver to my house ..... not really sure who to blame because newegg shippes all there stuff through ups and fedex which does come out here ... but they should accept a pobox on the order incase something like this happens again

Took over a month to respond to return request. Was forced to file a PayPal dispute to resolve this.

Rating + 1 Garage door opener

I was totally impressed by the quick delivery. I was totally disappointed by the fact that the supplied 12 volt battery for the device was not functional. The battery voltage read 3 volts and the positive battery terminal was totally corroded. After acquiring a new battery and cleaning the device contact points, the product worked fine.

As a distributor, these types of issues may occur, but usually not often. As a result, all of our current stock has been checked out for quality so this does not happen to someone else and a refund was issued because it was not in 100% perfect condition. Again, we apologize for inconvenience this has caused.

Rating + 3 Not so hot, the second time around...

The first time I ordered from Home Controls, the items were billed and shipped out within a day. This time, ordering the same items, it took 3 business days to even get billed.

Next time I'll spend the extra money and just go to Lowe's.

    Merchandise returned within 30 days of purchase with the appropriate RA number will receive a full product cost refund or credit, provided it is in perfect un-used condition in original undamaged and unmarked packaging, and is complete with all instructions and warranty card.

    Defective products will be replaced or repaired according to the manufacturer's warranty policy. Call us at 800-266-8765 (Toll free in the U.S.) if you have any questions.

    Shipping costs are not refundable, but Home Controls will pay the UPS ground freight to ship your exchanges or replacements of defective merchandise. Upgraded air shipping is available at customer expense. Books, Plans and Software are not returnable due to copyright laws. Wire products are not returnable.
RMA instructions
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 ¨C 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
    5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
