Rating + 5 Excellent refurb laptop and service!

I purchased a refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad which arrived in excellent shape but the AC power adapter that came with it didn't work. After emailing once with them, they shipped a replacement AC adapter out to me without needing to return the failed adapter and without any hassle. I definitely recommend ITRenewDirect!

Incorrect product shipped. Trouble free process of returning shipment and receiving credit (including shipping).

Rating + 1 Dont risk the small discounts offered.

Pros:
Laptop arrived on time and in good condition....

Cons:
Missing advertised feature (webcam), seller changed description of laptop to remove webcam but original invoice does not lie.
Unable to contact customer service by phone. I suspect the mailbox is not monitored but you be the judge
Email contact exceedingly slow. Limited responses at the end of business days meant communication that could have taken 10 minutes over the phone stretched for the better part of a week.
Due to obvious trust concerns raised during email exchange I requested confirmation that correct replacement was available, I have said confirmation in writing.
Several days after ITRenewdirect received the returned laptop they issued a REFUND without notice to me that it was no longer an exchange.
I was unable to get an explanation from them until AFTER opening a ticket with newegg. Not sure if coincidence but they were given sever days to reply and should have notified me of the change when it occurred.


Other Thoughts:
I would NOT recommend this seller to anyone. bad customer service and a willingness to lie to the customer just isnt worth the small discount they offer. You will find that of other reviews the only good ones are the result of sales that did NOT involve customer service.

I was looking for a spare laptop to keep at my boyfriend's place so I wasn't carting mine back and forth. I do most of my work from home in the web so didn't need any apps or programs other than internet access. This refurbished Dell was a great value and will do the trick. Thanks very much for making this a very economical solution.

Laptop delivered fully meant my expectations and arrived quickly. Only slight cosmetic wear distinguishes it from a new system.

I would also like to take this opportunity to compliment Newegg's customer service for working with me when my previous order resulted in delivery of an X200 tablet, not an X200 laptop. The "fault" was a bit of a toss-up as the picture was for a tablet but the text was entirely about the X200 laptop. But in the end I received the system I wanted.

Rating + 5 A+ Seller, As advertised or better.

Ordered the product and received it quickly. Laptop was exactly as advertised except the hard drive was about 50GB larger than listed. I did have a start-up error about three boots into owning it, but this quickly was fixed by the OS's built in tools and haven't had any other problems since. Also was pleased that there wasn't an excessive amount of bloatware- it seems to just be a clean install of windows that you get, which is better than most OEM's.

I bought a refurbished Lenovo Thinkpad. The laptop arrived quickly and was safely packaged. I was disappointed when I discovered that the laptop's battery didn't hold a charge, so I emailed them, and they shipped me a new battery via FedEx, no questions asked. Laptop works great, was cleaned, and the new battery works great too. Thankful for both the solid product and the customer service. I would buy from these guys again.
