Rating + 1 Don't buy from Newegg

I purchased a NEW Garmin 2597LMT from Newegg. I received a refurbished model. When I called Newegg they informed me that I actually purchased the item from Electrobrands. I then read Electrobrands reviews and found that this is a common occurrence. I agreed to take a 5 year warranty if I kept the item and I agreed.The first time I turned on the GPS the screen froze. I purchase the item on Sept. 18th, returned it and they recieved it on Oct. 2nd. I have not received a refund as of yet. I have had to get Google trusted Stores, Paypal, and others involved, and still no refund. I will never buy from Newegg again.

Rating + 1 Beware!!

Ordered a new Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014, but what I received was a refurbished unit. They even buff the words Refurbished in the USA off the box. How do I know this you ask? I was replacing a refurbished unit I purchased from Groupon that had issues. Just figured I would buy it new as to not worry about any refurb issues (I use it for work), but to my surprise.... I could have forgiven this bait and switch if the price of the unit was comparable to a refurbished unit. Nope. Priced only slightly lower than a new unit to draw you in. Unbelievable! Then when I tried to contact them for a partial or full refund (yes, I was willing to take a partial refund just to not have to deal with returning the tablet and buying another one), no response at all. Rating + 1 Terrible company, do not buy anything from them

Purchased a NEW Garmin 2597LMT, I received a refurbished item. When I complained to newegg I was told I have to deal with Electrobrands. I called and was told in a message that they are no longer taking phone calls. I filed a complaint with newegg. I then got a email from Electrobrands offering me a 5 year warranty. I thought about it, and accepted their offer. I attempted to update the map on the device I received. This is the first time I turned on the unit. The update was within 10% of completing, when the device froze. The update failed. I restarted my computer and tried to connect the device to my computer again. My computer told me that the device is not recognized. After trying to reinstall the driver, my computer said to replace the device. I went to the Garmin website, and reinstalled the driver from their website. When I plugged in the device, my computer still did not recognize the device. Garmin says I have a defective device. Save yourself hours of frustration and $.

Rating + 1 Do NOT buy from this seller!

If you are reading these reviews because you just mistakenly ordered an item from this seller thinking you were placing an order directly with NewEgg, save yourself a lot of time, money, and frustration by calling them up to cancel immediately.

I ordered a brand-new Samsung Note 10.1, but I received a used device, without a stylus, that showed signs of wear.

When I called the seller to complain, I could only get a voice recording that they were "moving facilities," which I assume was a euphemism for running from the FBI or whoever investigates interstate mail fraud these days.

I gave up on communicating with them via email after they offered to give me an extended five year warranty if I kept the device, then refused to admit it wasn't new.

The device came in a box labeled "not for resale" and didn't even have a serial number that I could use to register with Samsung!

Some of the other reviews on here suggest this was not an isolated experience. Shameful!

Seller shipped my item the very next day and it arrived the following day. The tracking number was emailed to me so I made sure to be home to accept the delivery. I am very satisfied with the item and hope to do business with this seller again. Thank you!

Rating + 1 Ordered New was shipped used item

We ordered a specific version of the iPad as a speech device for my 6 year-old son. After two weeks they still had not shipped the item to us. Shortly after it did ship they called to let us know that it was an open box item and not new. We the package came we refused to accept it and had it sent directly back. A couple days later the tracking number shows that someone signed for the package at their location. However they will not refund the money because they are telling Newegg that they did not receive the package back.

We have tried contacting ElectroBrands again and again with no response. They are open during very limited hours each day, and even when they are open they don't answer the phone or let you leave a message. No response via email.

We are going to file a claim in small claims court and hope to get a response.

Rating + 1 Ordered New, Got Refurbished

I ordered a Samsung tablet, brand new. It took three weeks to arrive, even though it was only supposed to take a week. When I took the tablet out of the packaging it was already damaged in the corner, I immediately thought, "there is no way this tablet is brand new". I contacted Electrobrands and was told that the tablet was indeed brand new and it must have been damaged during shipping. I then contacted Samsung about an issue with the screen, and after registering the product I was told that it was refurbished. Electrobrands lied about the condition of the product, and now I am in contact with them to get a complete refund and to return the tablet, hopefully that goes well.

I would not suggest anyone get electronics from Electrobrands, they are liars and scammers and I am greatly disappointed with their service and I will never purchase anything through them again.

I ordered a new GARMIN nuvi 2597LMT GPS from ElectroBrands via the Newegg MarketPlace. The item I received was not new (according to Garmin) and appeared to be an OEM refurb (white-box). The GPS works well and is covered by the Garmin 12-month warranty. I give credit to ElectroBrands for responsive customer service (via e-mail). They immediately acknowledged an apparent issue with their Distributor, and offered me a full refund or an extended warranty. I elected to keep this item instead, and received a partial refund for this discrepancy. Satisfied customer overall! This would have been a 5-egg rating if the item I received was a new retail item. Lessons learned. Buyer: do your homework prior to purchase! I accepted some risk with this purchase since the ElectroBrands price was well below the prices of a dozen other Marketplace sellers. Seller: take swift action to preclude potential future order fulfillment issues with your Distributor, or to find another Distributor.

RMA Policy
    All products returned to us must be accompanied by a RA # (Return Authorization) posted on the outside of the shipping box. All returns without a RA# will be refused by our warehouse.

    Any product which appears to have an initial defect within 14 days of delivery, may be exchanged for a replacement of the same model at no cost to you . We will pay for the shipping both ways. All defective products must be returned to the manufacturer for warranty repair after our 14 day return period.

    If you wish to return a non defective product for any reason, we accept returns on unopened factory sealed products WITHOUT ANY RESTOCKING FEES also within 14 days from the date of receipt. This is open to our discretion depending on the item and situation. Any item that has been opened may be returned but will be subject to a 15% restocking fee since we will no longer be able to resell the item as a new and unopened product.

    When restocking fee is waived a $20 processing fee may be charged to handle costs involved with your order

    Any items returned to us must meet the following guidelines.

    -All supplied accessories are included in the original factory packaging and all warranty cards must be blank
    - All items must be in original factory packaging
    -All returns must be double boxed and accompanied by a RA #. To get a RA #, please contact our customer service department.


    PLEASE NOTE:

    - Shipping and handling fees are non refundable (including all refused packages).

    - items that have physical damage are non returnable

    -Items must be returned within 14 days from the date a return authorization number is issued. After this time the return authorization number will be voided.
RMA instructions
    1. Log onto your Newegg.com account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 ¨C 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.

We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
