The laptop was well refurbished, looked almost new. All accessories were present and they added a bag. There weren't even any crumbs or lint under the keyboard. Very good price/value ratio.

One of the reasons I bought this computer was that it had 8Gb of RAM. Unfortunately they installed the wrong version of RAM when they bumped it to 8Gb and the results ranged from won't boot at all to scrambling the OS install. Sent a message to newegg and got a phone call the next day from Notebook Avenue. He knew what the problem was and had already sent me the replacement RAM in the mail with a return postage sticker to send the old RAM back. Later verified that the OS was hopelessly messed up on one so he sent me a replacement hard drive with another return sticker. Laptops are almost new looking (I bought 3 of them), one drive had 220 hours on it the other had 6000 hours on it, it is a refurb after all. Overall I am happy but a non-technical person would have had to ship this back, that is why i gave them 4 eggs. Really good customer support

Rating + 1 marketplace has terrible customer service!

zero out of five! Worst customer service ever. I tried to correct the old paypal address to ship to correct addy. Got through to a real person (not secretary) ONE time. He didn't know how to help and said he would ask his supervisor and call back. No he did not EVER call back. Called again, their phones weren't working so the secretary took my info and would have them call me back. NO they never did. I had no idea I was ordering through newegg marketplace when I placed the order. I will never order from newegg again and most DEFINITELY will not order from marketplace.
How hard is it to call someone back so they get their computer?? No thanks. I know there is going to be a problem like this (not getting help) when there is something wrong with the computer.
I'm returning it immediately. Ordered Sept 3, received Sept 30th.

Pleasure to deal with even after i ordered wrong item, called and spoke to a live person no automated phone service, i told them that i had ordered the wrong item, they sent the correct one even though the one i needed by a bit more expensive.

Does not ship the advertised product, a laptop with a 1080p screen, instead ships with a 1366x768 screen, far inferior to the one advertised. It shipped with an unactivated copy of Windows. When I go to get the activation code from under the battery, it's for the wrong version. Takes his time responding and drags out response times to bring you out of your return timeframe. Unwilling to ship correct product from the start, insisted that the issue was Windows and I should reinstall. I try to reinstall, but the recovery partition doesn't work. Takes over a week to ship a new hard drive, it still doesn't work, and won't respond until he received the original hard drive back. Would not allow me to RMA the product. Overall, an eye-opening experience as to the kind of people Newegg allows to sell on their website. Will be wary of Newegg purchases in the future.

    Notebook Avenue provides a limited warranty to the first purchaser of the product(s) it sells and agrees that it will, at its option, either repair the defect or replace the defective product or part thereof at no charge to the purchaser for parts or labor as set forth below, excluding shipping the product back to us. The warranty is for repairs only or replacement at our discretion with equal or similar product after we determine that repair is not possible.


    All used or refurbished NOTEBOOKS and parts / accessories carry a 90 DAYS parts & labor carry in depot limited warranty from the date of original invoice unless published otherwise at the time of purchase.

    Batteries which come with the used/refurbished notebook computers or refurbished portable printers are used so the battery performance may vary. We do not give any guarantees on how long a computer will operate on a used battery and do not warranty the battery.

    The notebooks and parts which carry original manufacturer's warranty, only that warranty is applicable to those products and the manufacturer should be contacted regarding the defect including the batteries in manufacturer refurbished notebooks, covered under manufacturer’s warranty policy. We are not responsible for any delays in warranty handling by the manufacturer or the way manufacturer handles their warranty repair.


    All New NOTEBOOKS and parts / accessories carry a one year parts & labor carry in depot limited warranty from the date of original invoice unless published otherwise at the time of purchase.
    New notebooks carry original manufacturer's warranty and only that warranty is applicable to those products. The manufacturer should be contacted regarding the defects covered under manufacturer’s warranty policy. We are not responsible for any delays in warranty handling by the manufacturer or the way manufacturer handles their warranty repair.

    We may sell some products "As is". The products sold "As is" do not carry any warranty.


    The warranty covers only malfunctions or defects occurred during normal use of products. Wear and tear of use, defects occurred under extraordinary conditions or climate are not covered by this warranty. This written warranty is final and cannot be altered or modified.

    All parts, covered under this warranty, including repaired and replaced parts, are covered only for the original warranty period. When the warranty on the product expires, the warranty on all replaced and repaired parts also expires.

    Problems caused by high static or other environmental conditions where the computer has been placed or used. · Any breakage on screen is not covered.

    Any alterations or additions done to the computer. Any modifications or adaptation to the computer to enable its operation in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of product damaged by these modifications.
RMA instructions
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 ¨C 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.
    5. We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
