I purchased a Dell Inspiron
Laptop arrived quickly, packaged well with all accessories and documentation. Fired it up, went through mini-setup and off to the races. This was a gift for my wife so I was fairly anxious but everything turned out great! Would highly recommend and use again.

Rating + 4 Dinged up, but seems to run good so far.

As stated by the title, it appears to be dinged up quite a bit, but everything seems to work as expected. I do wish it stated there was some wear and tear though. The only other thing was the power adapter it came with. I didn't know if it was supposed to charge my laptop or if I was supposed to use it to go surfing.

In all seriousness, the power adapter is a hair smaller than a WiiU gamepad.

Refurbished laptop is a little dinged up but works as expected, no other issues. Shipping was quick, the laptop arrived exactly when expected and was packaged well. I would buy from this seller again and would also recommend to others. Thanks!

Rating + 1 NewEgg has lowered its standards.

This negative comment is directed to NEWEGG and not to Notebook Avenue. "Refurbished" laptops and computers we have purchased from NewEgg in the past have always been "open box", meaning that someone ordered something and returned it, essentially unused. Based on the number of scratches and dings, this laptop has obviously been heavily used. Also, the label w/ the model and serial # had been removed, making it impossible to register with Lenovo. I am guessing that the condition of the laptop matches the expectations of Notebook Avenue customers. But it did not match my expectations as a NewEgg customer.
The other big problem was delivery. We requested 2-day delivery. While we did, ultimately, get it in 3 days, because Notebook Avenue was willing to expedite it, we had to call multiple people several times in order to have it delivered in under a week. If there is a 2-day delivery option and I choose it I should GET IT in 2 days. If that's not possible, the option should not be there.

Ordered 64 bit laptops, they came as 32 bit. Contacted Notebook Avenue support and they wanted to just ship me hard drives loaded with a 64 bit OS. When I asked to speak with someone who actually knew something about computers he told me he was the main tech. How can you spend any time working on computers and not understand the difference between 32/64 bit architecture?
Seller Response:Customer ordered New Dell laptops which were supposed to have Win 7 Pro 64 bit Operating system software pre-installed. Customer reported that the laptops were pre-installed with Win 7 Pro 32 bit software. We do not open the brand new sealed laptops to check the OS type since it is assumed that everything must be as described. In this case Dell shipped these with 32 bit instead of 64 bit software. We explained this to customer's tech person and proposed a faster solution to take care of this issue by shipping them pre-installed disks with correct 64 bit Dell factory software. Being Dell Partner Direct and having Dell certified tech in-house we were able to offer this quick fix. However, the customer's representative was not able to understand that it was only software which was incorrect not the hardware. We followed up with the customer and spoke to the owner who understood the issue correctly and told us that he was going to have the Win 7 64 bit software installed and they have the capability to do it in-house.

Rating + 1 I am not impressed. I will not buy from them again.

The notebook they sold me was a recertified, which I was alright with, but they didn't mention that it was WELL USED! It had dents and a make shift power cord with an adapter to make it work. The computer was junk, wouldn't update to 10. It took almost one whole month from the time I sent it back to get my refund. Not happy. The whole return process was messed up from the beginning. Notebook Ave gave me an RMA and I sent the laptop to them. The next day, Newegg sent me an RMA and from then on, it was totally messed up. I talked with 2 different people from Newegg and finally on the second try, he figured out what happened and straightened it out. This laptop was NOT Newegg quality and I am VERY disappointed! I have been a Newegg customer for years. Sad!

Sorry to hear about your issues. Refurbished products could be of different kinds and one big category is "Previously leased units that are turned in and resold after the lease ends". Such units are fully tested and or repaired for full functionality and then classified as refurbished. Such product will / may have some cosmetic imperfections such as minor scratches on the top LCD lid cover, palm rest, or keyboard area from previous use. This in no way will effect the functionality of the laptop. This gets explained in detail.
We were contacted via email on January 29th and we issued a return authorization number same day and emailed. A return label was sent by us. We received the laptop back on Feb 3 and return was processed on Feb 3. On Feb 4 we processed a refund on New Egg. We can only process the refund but we can not issue a refund since New Egg does that. We took care of the whole process in a very fast manner.

    Notebook Avenue provides a limited warranty to the first purchaser of the product(s) it sells and agrees that it will, at its option, either repair the defect or replace the defective product or part thereof at no charge to the purchaser for parts or labor as set forth below, excluding shipping the product back to us. The warranty is for repairs only or replacement at our discretion with equal or similar product after we determine that repair is not possible.


    All used or refurbished NOTEBOOKS and parts / accessories carry a 90 DAYS parts & labor carry in depot limited warranty from the date of original invoice unless published otherwise at the time of purchase.

    Batteries which come with the used/refurbished notebook computers are used so the battery performance may vary. We do not give any guarantees on how long a computer will operate on a used battery and do not warranty the battery.

    The notebooks and parts which carry original manufacturer's warranty, only that warranty is applicable to those products and the manufacturer should be contacted regarding the defect including the batteries in manufacturer refurbished notebooks, covered under manufacturer’s warranty policy. We are not responsible for any delays in warranty handling by the manufacturer or the way manufacturer handles their warranty repair.

    We may sell some products "As is". The products sold "As is" do not carry any warranty.


    The warranty covers only malfunctions or defects occurred during normal use of products. Wear and tear of use, defects occurred under extraordinary conditions or climate are not covered by this warranty. This written warranty is final and cannot be altered or modified.

    Problems caused by high static or other environmental conditions where the computer has been placed or used. · Any breakage on screen is not covered.

    Any alterations or additions done to the computer. Any modifications or adaptation to the computer to enable its operation in any country other than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of product damaged by these modifications.

Return Instruction
    1. Log onto your account and find your order in order history, click on 'Request RMA from Seller' Button next to the order information.
    2. On 'Compose Message Page', verify the order number you want to request return on the top of the page, choose 'RMA Inquiry' from the drop down menu, provide the item# (you can find on your order invoice e-mail) and the reason you want to return, and indicate you want to return for replacement or refund before click 'send message' button.
    3. Once our Customer Service Representatives receive your inquiry, it will take us 24 - 48 hours to respond to your inquiry.
    4. Once our Customer Service has verified your order information and approved for you to send the merchandise back to us, you will be provided with Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number for your return through e-mail. The e-mail contains RMA number, RMA details and important return shipping instruction. Read the instruction carefully before you ship your return merchandise back to us.

We strongly recommend you return your item in the same or similar packaging as they were delivered to you with all the original parts, accessories and menu/documentation included (any missing parts or accessories may result your return being rejected or your refund/replacement being delayed). Re-using the package your item came in is acceptable, as long as the packaging is in good condition and all previous addresses, tracking information and labels are removed.
